  1. meh offically no, the friday to sunday ticket, only allowed entry on the friday, and not the thursday. but last year, there was a big problem, where about 60% of thursday to sunday tickets where printed as friday to sunday tickets, so they said "dont worry, we will check your ticket numbers to ensure those people with misprinted tickets, are still allowed in on the thursday" what happened in the end, was anyone was allowed in whenever, as its not like the people on the gate where going to check 10,000 tickets an hour on entry and cross reference them with a list. this year, if they dont make a mistake printing the tickets out, you might not be so lucky, although if you go at the busy times, it often tends to be more a case of "wave your tickets in the air", in you go. really not looking forward to getting tickets this year, still aint cleared last years off the credit card, ah well. also heard story of the year are playing, but thats it, can take a guess that newton faulkener will be playing too(just cos itd be a huge suprise if he wasnt shoe horned in there somewhere) other than that, its anyones guess really, wombats are probably semi likely, and scouting for girls. still think last years is gunna be hard to beat, jimmy eat world, ash, rhcp, etc.
  2. yea, and thats without damaging the lock, some family friends of ours had locked there bikes to a gas canister outside their caravan(holiday style caravan, there not pikeys) was a 4 number one, chain on it, with like a plastic guard round the chain. took us about 30 minutes to get it unlocked, hardest bit is gettin the first number (as the lock will have some play in it, and by pulling the 2 halves apart as you rotate the numbers, you can feel the amount of play in it increase.) by the time youve got the first number(as the play doesnt really increase much till youve got 2 numbers right) it takes about 30 seconds for each of the last two numbers, as its real obvious when they click in) not to mention apart from the risks of conning/it getting stolen, the cost of a lock that youd trust to keep your bike secure, is probably going to cost as much as postage, and unless the guy the other end wants to buy a lock to go with his new bike, and you buy him one, then your going to be however much a lock costs out of pocket. its a fairly stupid idea, unless you live like a short train journey away, in which case its a lot easier just to meet up.either via train, or via car.
  3. exactly, he wouldnt say it to your face would he? nah hed be too scared. i think we should all cut grant some slack, hes obviously got money issues, and thats why he had to mess people around, so why dont we all help out a fellow rider, whos a real sound lad, by all of us just paypalling him £1 each, itll make such a difference to his life. [/sarcasm] the guys conned people, then refused to give money back, till his parents where involved, someone here has lost money, which is too much effort for him to get back, so hes made off with someones money, and only given bens back, because he was hassled to do it by peoples parents. why should he get any slack, hes a bad seller, hes conning people. if it was the other way round, and I had conned you and your mates out of money, youd be slagging em off, calling me a w*nker, (which most of Tf does anyway ) and saying i should be blacklisted. face it, the guys a complete tosser when it comes to selling bits, he might not be a tosser of a riding mate.but for selling stuff, he is. in the same way Fred West would be a great next door neighbour if you wanted a patio laying, but you wouldnt let him look after your kids for 2 weeks while you where on holiday. as for all this "you cant call me a wanker, you dont know me" you dont have to know some one well to know there a wanker.
  4. erm id avoid the riley, as its rather rare, and doesnt have that big of a cult following, so replacement bits will be hard to come by. any particular reason for the desire to be under a 1.6, its a classic car, so insurance will be rather classic, youll be paying very little to go from a 1.1 sidevalve ford unit to a 3.5 v8. unless its for every day use and you want fuel economy etc, in which case, id suggest binning the classic car idea, and getting a slightly newer project, of an unrecorded right off or the like. but stuff like minis, classic fords, mg's, triumph's and austins, still have an abundance of parts suppliers at reasonable prices. (mg and ford front wings, and the like, are easily findable for £40ish a side. but for the less common stuff, your looking at big issues, a riley needs an engine rebuild, with some new bits, and your looking at hundreds, your ford 100e needs the same, and theres still a fair few people that do valves and the like for them, or you got the option of stickin a 2.0 pinto lump in there on the cheap)
  5. well at 400-800 you can count out most of the suggestions in here. depends what you want from a project car, do you want a full on bare shell project with the need to replace every panel, an engine that wont turn over. etc, or do you want something that runs, has a real tatty interior, needs a few bits for the mot, and a bit of bodywork tidying? age of the car you want to do? with your budget, id say your looking at the newer stuff really. sierra xr4i(cheap as chips, nice little drift project, loads of spares still around) golf mk1/mk2 pug 205 gti. or go for something jap, could get a s12/s13 200sx which would be a mint drift car, for under £500 if you want a project one. seen s14's with blown engines for not much more, if thats your bag of tea. other option in the jap department, would be a mk3 supra, again easily comes in at under £800 for a tatty one needing a fair bit of work. or if your into the spending a fair bit more in the future doing it, perhaps consider getting something that runs good, and is an insurance right off, as generally providing the chassis is straight, suspension is just simple nuts and bolt stuff, and bodywork is something you want to be doing, diving straight into stripping down a twin cam turbocharged engine, to find out why it wont turn over, is possibly not the best option. pushing your budget slightly, but surely the best choice, would be a classic ford though, counting out the old escys cos of the price, your left with cortina, capri, xr2,possibly a mk3/4 escort xr3i/rs turbo with engine problems if thats your cup of tea. or of course, the coolest option, is a ford popular/anglia 100e.
  6. sure its either 2 weeks on monday(17th) or 3 weeks on monday (24th). yea theyll probably be in batches again, just to drum up interest, (as supposedly leeds fest was sold out in 45 minutes, but you could still buy tickets 2 weeks before the event) always best to get the first batch, as otherwise they may do what they did last year, and make 3rd batch onwards friday - sunday only, meaning your chances of gettin in yellow where slim to none.(although last year, as tickets were printed wrong, you could just waltz in with a friday > to sunday ticket and be happy on the thursday)
  7. the thing i dont like about the htc, as i had one for a bit, is its not very phone like to use, same with all windows phone. to use them as a phone, there not as good as simple phone, and do you really need to run a pocket pc, my n95 is good. but then i really like the g800 too. as for t mobile not having the latest phones for free, i thought the same thing, as in i was going to pay £85 to get me n95 with them, but if u walk into the store, they give you discounts for taking out there insurance, which is advisable to have, i took out t mobile smart plan insurance for £6 a month, and they gave me the £12.50 a month 3gb 3g network thing with phone as a modem, for £7.50, and the phone for free.
  8. thats my point exactly, so dont see why hes gettin so much abuse for it, it could of been any of us on here.
  9. where did i say i was the don, i admitted ive driven like a dickhead, and ive spent my fair share of time on bail. thats all i said. where as your quite happy to judge the guy as an idiot. which he may well be, does he need to be told that repeatedly by some self righteous idiot who is the self confessed mr sensible never steps a foot wrong. he came here for support, which some people have given him, a bit of advice, which others have given him, dont think he came on here asking for abuse from people whove never even met him.
  10. yea but your just an idiot, sorry, but you are. everyone else manages to drive sensibly enough, using common sense. get off your well controlled, moral high horse, in a safe controlled manor wearing the appropriate safety gear, as you would do anyway. I drive like a d*ckhead,im sorry, but i do, on occasion, sure jolfa mentioned in this thread his engine fell out doing 135mph, bongo(sorry to bring others into this who havent said much in this thread) has several points on his license, nick carter and derf, have both lost their license, pauly said last week he got flashed going through a camera a little too fast, and a few other on here openly admit having speeding tickets. we all do stupid stuff from time to time, its just the luck of the draw who gets away with it, the number of times ive reversed at 15mph or above, is countless, ive just been lucky nothings happened when ive been doing soo. to say ive done it 100's of times probably wouldnt be an exageration, and by the fact ive never hit anything or anyone doing so, i now view it as a safe practice. you wern't there, so how can you say in the same situation youd drive sensibly enough. to say someone is or isnt an idiot, without knowing the full situation, isnt really doable. itd be like me comparing someone ripping me off for £35 a couple of years ago for a set of deore cranks, bash and a couple of other bits, as well as ripping a bunch of other people off for a load more bike bits for a lot more money, i seem to remember the lad was called future orange 660 or something along them lines, well itd be like me comparing that selfless fraudulent individual, to someone whos been payed for bike bits, but hasnt been able to send them out, as hes been kicked out. best of luck beau... but a couple of things, which i think you may need to take warning about/try and sort out, before it goes to much further. 1) you where doin pizza deliveries, in doing soo, unless your cars insured for business use, or youve had local delivery use, added to your policy you where probably driving without insurance. so be careful what you say on that fact. 2) yours car been impounded, with tinted windows, and lowered suspension(and possibly more) be aware that if the bloke puts a claim in for damages, with this stuff possibly not being declared to the insurers, you could be right in the shit for again not having insurance. i would say as soon as you get them back take them off, but an insurance assessor may already look at it, before you get it back, if you get it back that is. (so possibly best to leave them on their, and if you didnt buy the car new, and its been privately owned before, blag thats how it came, and you didnt know any different). 3) get some legal advice, ive spent over 20% of my adult life on bail, and almost a year on bail in total, no bail terms can be given to you, unless you are in court(other than the fact that trying to be in touch with the *victim* or altering the scene of the *crime* to destroy or tamper with *evidence* is a serious offence in its own, but then that would be a seperate offence, as opposed to breaching your bail) a license cant be revoked without a court hearing, a curfew cant be given without a court hearing, and have you actually been charged with the offence. or have you been arrested, and bailed pending further enquiries. dont worry about the DNA, prints, photo, and tattoo thing, its standard procedure(that is unless youve got something to be worried about from something youve done before)
  11. mint, just mint, even if bessell's t shirt choice is questionable.
  12. A disco biscuit?? nah, either hobknobs, or kit kat chunky whites, remember those, they where ultimate. although mother got some yoghurt coated digesgtives the other day, which where rather nice. yoghurt covered hoknobs would be immense though.
  13. i have to admit, if your coming from a pushbike trials background, a 125 is a stupid good idea for a first bike, theres only a couple of kgs difference between that and the 250, but its instantly noticeable to someone used to a sub 10kg bike when trying to balance on it, or edgin the front or back end round. however if your moving into mototrials as your ride motocross and trials, and think itd be need to try the 2, then a 200 or a 250 would probably be more sensible, as youll be used to some massive bike you cant just lift the front end round etc/
  14. yea, as muel pointed out, the press have been continually sticking it out as bridgend suicides, and bridgend is a rather large county. as rowly pointed out. seeing the success of somebody elses suicide may be spurring others on who are contemplating it. Also wales as a country(once you get outsides of the confines of the large welsh border towns, and cardiff) is rather short of jobs, as although the mining industry is long gone, a lot of factories jumped into the areas wheres mine closed, knowing there would be a plentiful supply of redundant people looking for work, but now a lot of this is being moved to the far east. also wales having a large tourism industry doesnt help, as jobs are hugely seasonal there(shops and cafes off all sorts do a lot more business in summer than winter, same with pubs and the like) another rather contraversial point, is how there is a very large "alternative" music scene in the area. (talking rock, punk, emo, goth whatever you want to call it) which generally attracts a lot more people who are into self harm, than other types of music (may sound stupid, but i bet you most places with large hip hop/grime scenes are rather rough areas). the rate of suicide across the uk in 15-24 year olds is 9.5 per 100,000 people or thereabouts. so to say of the 130k people in bridgend(the county) over the cause of a year. 12 would be the normal rate. couple this to the fact that suicides are around 35% higher in wales. 16 or so people would be a sensible government figure. so its not like its stupidly higher than statistics suggest. couple this with the facts above, and i dont think theres anything that strange about it, its just a nice media frenzy that sells papers. also love how the media has jumped on the fact that 9 of the 17 were members of bebo. trying to put social networking as the cause of it. when in fact all that compares to is "55% of 15-24 year olds have used a social networking site" which is hardly a shocking fact, when id say most of this forum either have, or have had, facebook, myspace, bebo, faceparty or the like. what worries me, is more how the media is possibly creating a cult, whereby you become national front page news by hanging yourself if you live in bridgend. which is certainly one way to get remembered. and to people who are mentally unstable/contemplating suicide. this may be all that is needed to spur them on to do it.
  15. i wish i had some, well i did( on the memory card, which i formatted before selling to fatpants). plan was to do it weekly, but it went out the window as soon as i sold the camera(as i dont have pics of me in boxers floating round on my main camera) i *must* take pics when i come back from college, every sunday till the end of may ( when im back in college again) would take one now, but its pointless doing it for a week, and last time i was in college for 2 weeks my weight ballooned, so theyll be no progress between now and when i finish college in 3 weeks(i do 2 week blocks at college like 4/5 times a year). but using trousers for reference, ive took a good inch off me waist in that time. goal is defined abs for summer. but i guess a lot of it is how much work i put into them/how much fun i have on the weekends etc, as im if out friday and saturday, and eating chineses etc, its not going to go quite as easy as staying in, on a carb depleted diet, doing cardio and lifting regularly
  16. just read the GDA of protein for an adult male, 55g. 55g, im on somewhere around 3-4 times that at the moment. cuts going pretty well to be fair, not dropping any noticeable strength, bodyfats dropping nicely. got 1 week left, then im back at college, but im gunna try and not pig out at college, gunna go for the no fry ups, no chip shop, no kebab, no chocolate, no crisps rule, just keep it to sandwiches for lunch, drink a load of water, whatevers for tea. and try and not hit the boozer too much. anything for forearms, part from hammer curls, and wrist curls? might make meself a wrist roller out of a broomstick at some point this week, but im stuck for freeweight based exercises for forearms.
  17. what you mean the insider, if hes the man on the boat, then thats wrong. as theres already someone on the boat? but yes, there appears to be a time warp between the freighter and the island. which explains a lot/nothing.
  18. youve obviously never been to liquid in shrewsbury then nah i mean on tv, and to back it up, just went and looked at some hippo photos, and found out they eat large amounts of grass. and aparently hippos and cows are sisters(and cousins to the whale) which must be some kind of fecked up family tree.
  19. this isnt really related to the discussion but kind of is, i dont know wether its me, but i noticed a few months ago, the similarity between cows and hippos, now everytime i see a hippo, i just see how much it looks like a cow(facial features wise)
  20. nah, shes a proper council estate slag bag, but shes a wrexham girl, i wouldnt expect any less. shes got a proper pokey little flat with her sister in hightown which is like one of the scummiest areas of wrexham. i would say shes not that much of a slag, but im probably wasting my breath, she doesnt come across as one, but then shes slept with me, while shes got a boyfriend. and im probably one of a few more. but meh, its not all about the socialites and the hooty tooty girls. still aint slept with a proper mckenzied up pikey scum slag, but meh, im sure ill tick it off the list one of these days.
  21. your not drunk at all, your just trying to stay in the lead, thats cheating. out the drunk thread now, cheater.
  22. well i ended up stayin at hers last night, (you should try defrosting your car at 2am in the mornin, its an experience). but we had a walk and a chat this morning. dont think were going to see each other again for a while at least, she needs to sort sh*t out with her boyfriend, as its not right for any of us. but meh its quite simple. so im happy. girl trouble problem now, i guess i dont have one.
  23. i really think it seems to be more of a joke series now, almost like its trying to turn into a comedy, whereas before it was just a kinda over the top drama. but like maxi's gayness has just been put all over the top, his dad was some kinda joke. as was the asian lad(its and-waa, but im sure it aint spelt like that,so dont wanna look like an idiot) the bit with effy on the toilet, although she looked fit as feck, was just a bit stupid.
  24. same with norwich union direct, i took out my policy the day before my first test, failed, and didnt get a retest for 2 months. after i passed, i rang them up, said i passed, the women said well done, drive safe, you will be insured as a full license holder from 3pm(was about 2.35 at the time), bye.
  25. round or square lenses in the yellow box (basically truvelo or gatso) the truvelo flash wouldnt be as visible, it can still be seen if your looking at it, but it doesnt light up the sky. the gatso, which is more common. would be super bright. if its a square yellow box, with square lenses, then your fine i would say (there are forward facing gatsos around, but there super rare at the moment). best thing if you know where the camera was, have a look on one of the speed camera databases, should tell you what camera it is, and in which direction(s) it works. also if its your first offence, you may get the chance of a speed awareness course for £60, rather than £60 and 3 points, its basically a long lecture in a classroom on how speed kills, taken by a boring copper, but its a whole load cheaper than 3 points when it comes to renewal time. radfax-what the hell are you on about? forward facing cameras give out points and no fines? never heard of that one before, unless its something new thats been brought in.
