  1. i wouldnt worry to much, id cut them in the centre, stick a 20 mm section in there, drill the steerer in a few places, and put a sleeve in there then reweld, both around the joins, and then through the holes in the steerer, turned up nice and high so it penetrates, will be fine. The 3 bits arent gunna split, because of all the welds holding them to sleeve, and the whole lot cant snap in the middle really anyway, as theres a sleeve. and steerers dont normally go in the middle. Its common in autograss and the like, to cut driveshafts, then join them with the welding through holes method, to get the 2 correct ends and the correct length and if it holds 400+ bhp v8 american CORR style buggy driveshafts together itll do for a steerer.
  2. You said this: Suggesting that with a small cheap bit of work, they can move, so i enquired what was needed to make them move, to which you promptly answered: Suggesting that all that lot would make it go faster, when Injectors and Carbs aren't used together, there both ways of delivering fuel into the air and mixing it. not to mention that little lot wouldnt be a bit of tinkering, itd be a lot tinkering, especially considering im fairly sure you only had 1 injector on your clio, and making it bigger wouldnt do a lot(not that fitting bigger injectors really makes much difference till youve done a fair amount of tuning before hand), I never said your car would or wouldnt keep up with a 206 gti, as there not the quickest things in the world. Im sorry, maybe you did have your car set up by your neighbour whos an engine tuner, i was just disputin the fact you retro fitted carbs to your engine(no clios where made with carbs where they? they where all injection as far as i was aware). Sorry i apologise, maybe you did have a quick Clio, we were never filled in on the engine tuning delights of that car, it was just a Clio when you had it. As i say i forgot to factor in you may have had a neighbour do it for you, as opposed to doing it yourself, which would explain the reason you couldnt fully explain what it had had done to it. I also forgot the extra BHP you get from a car when its run on pure Bullsh*t
  3. No buying or selling in NMC! Ps. why is everyone talking in NMC, when your fully validated, I see NMC as a sort of primary school, once youve finished there, you dont really go back there again unless you need to, or to get a family member from there, and if you hang around there for too long, youll end up getting locked up. Also, I havent seen a single person with my avatar either, which i suppose is a good thing.
  4. Was this before or after it was used as a car to film formula 1 as it was quick enough to keep up with. and injectors and carbs you say? interesting setup, ive only ever heard of one place creating that set up before called Tom Kents imagination Also apart from emissions laws, what laws apply to tuning engines?
  5. Well in that case its an unfair fight, and i deem tomm the winner on the grounds that you couldnt make the required conditions for fighting, or fit into the ring with your feet.
  6. Nah, i wanna leave this to you 2 guys, to dual it out to the death, im interested to see who wins, Kris with his size 13 feet for on water walking ability, and the fact he can probably eat a lot, Or tomm with his medical knowledge of Kris's body and therefore his weak spots, and the ability to throw morphine syringes into his opponents cheek ( a move perfect by ross kemp when he played Henno Garvey in ultimate force, the move can be seen towards the end of episode 4 of series one). Although i fear that you both have 2 common weaknesses, firstly you both have X ray vision due to the glasses thing, so would possibly both be able to see right through each other, and therefore youd each be fighting invisible enemies, despite the fact that us lesser sighted mortals can see both of you reasonably clearly. and secondly, and perhaps most importantly, that Danny and Tom will send you to your rooms with no tea if your caught fighting.
  7. Yea i started on 50 today when i found out it was double points, got to 55 now, maybe thinking about seshin it to 59 tonight, and then going for 65 and prestige tomorrow. Its all about 60 point flag captures in war, or winning headquarters with like 20 kills and finishin up with 700xp + match bonus. Although my kill:death ratio has got even worse today, as i spent ages trying out a couple of different game modes etc.
  8. It ends now, as Callum failing to spell correctly happens about never, yet is happening now,it has already happened even, that and he has now retired to bed. And later in life, many mammals take an interest in technology, in a bid to save themselves, 37% of giraffes over the age of 12 can use a microwave.
  9. Panic, its the logical thing to do, or stamp your feet till either the smell of pancakes goes away, or till you are brought pancakes.
  10. Of course one knew this, how could one forget, and besides, hes barely changed now. just as stated in the wiki, we must take the chance to rip him(a long with a few select others not mentioned) at any given oppurtunity, that was a given oppurtunity. Now, less questions, more bashing of the fatty. Out, Out, get Out,
  11. Is the guy with the glasses about to drop a punch on the fat italian looking lads bonce, because thats the way its looking to me.
  12. Are you writing in big letters to try and compensate for something? maybe your miniscule brain of thinking?
  13. Despite not being part of the LNC crew, or fully understanding the reason to be on here suffering from insomnia, when QVC runs 24 hours a day, i feel the need to pick apart small issues in the wiki. "FAT PANTS - not welcome back Hendrix - not welcome back Sonny Clarke - not welcome back" Retrieved from "http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/wiki/Late_Night_Crew" Where any of these people ever actually welcome? let alone welcome back? Sorry to be a pendant(or pedant even, im way to heavy to be a pendant)
  14. Dont know, never heard any of the stuff like that bloke being found dead, i meant more as in 60 years ago, there was a lot of activity round there and it was used to store and test loads of bombs, so you probably shouldnt go diving down all the holes you find there, And be prepared to find a a group of soldiers round the next corner.
  15. Nah it wasnt flooded.it was soaking inside(like carpets etc were damp, but i expected that, as it is still below ground level, even if its on a massive hill) As for it being chained up, you gotta think round there, everyone knows everyone, if one of the people from the houses saw somewhere up there, theyd probably of spoke to the farmer who owns the field about it. and hed of chained it up. To be honest though, Traws is a very very dodgy place when it comes to military stuff and the like. As it used to be a military camp (the whole rhiw goch cottages and ski slope is an old WW2 war base, when going through it you can see the military check points, truck loading bays etc) theres a place over the back towards Abergeiw, where we ride motorbikes, which is like a big loop of of gravel tracks, but is an old army bomb testing range. (as you can see when your there, if you look round, theres a big chunk missing out of the hillside across the lane from there) and theres signs going in there warning you about unexploded munitions being present, and has several earthquake sensors etc placed in the ground there, so they know if any of the stuff buried in the ground/hillside goes off) and between that area and the back of Rhiw Goch theres an underground ammo dump which again you can see from the lane. Also are you aware of the big tarmac clearing in the forest, with the massive military gates on it, again another area we use to ride on the motorbikes as it was ideal for learning wheelies/stoppies etc ( is used occasionally for rally special stages and autotests), well we been up there one day ( as you can fit between the end of the gate and the fence on a motorbike). got round the corner where you couldnt be seen from the road, only to be met with a line of MOD landrovers, and 3/4 four tonne trucks parked up. Presumably where just parked up their, out on a training operation over the mountains. Next time your in the area, i suggest checkin out Friog lake above Arthog if you havent. is well worth just chilling up there for a day with a couple of mates, as it is cool as fook
  16. Yea i know bontddu too, and i could make bontddu to there in 10 minutes on a good day. Erm my mums got a caravan in llanelltyd, so spent a hell of lot of my summers from about 7 till... well till now really messing round that kind of area, from being kids going swimming and mountain biking, too being 20 and going on the lash and riding motorbikes. Ended up gettin into the one at Trawsfynned like 3 days later, got some long nosed mole grips and the one there opened fairly easy, just is obvious as hell, as your stood on the top of a hill in full view of a few houses.
  17. Small world, ive actually been to that ROC post, but couldnt get in it when we went there(wernt really equipped to get in there to be fair, had like a triangle shaped key in the top, and was stiff as hell, long nose pliers and a screwdriver just didnt cut it) Where abouts does she live, i know that area rather well.
  18. Joe said "And as for black and white.. We have colour now days.. Riding was alright. " Hes pretty much saying "i dont really like the whole black and white video thing you guys have got going on in most videos, but in all fairness your not a bad rider." Yet you lot just jump on it likes he spunked all over your cereal and start to offer him out for a fight. Just chill out, take it on board, think about what you need to different for your next video (because the reason people keep watching these videos, is most of us are mildly impressed with the riding) and not try to email everyone a left hook everytime they dont brown nose the northern TGS crew. Jeez...talk about getting your skinnies in a twist. Edit: Joes not only better looking than me, he types quicker. and i forgot to add my view on the video, as everyone has said, the riding is rather good, but... its very samey, ive watched most of danny's videos and 1 or 2 of toms, and they all have very much the same feel to them.
  19. wouldnt of added him on facebook yourself, he knows who you are, he knows hes scammed you. theres only 12 ewings' in the manchester phone directory, may be worth making 12 phone calls(dont necessarily go for the m ewing, as he may be just a kid living with his mum) in the hope you find the right one. as with emails etc, you can just ignore them, but if your a kid scamming people, once your parents are aware that youve got the people you scammed ringing your house every day. there gunna give you grief about it.
  20. realistically going through paypal, or just badgering him isnt going to work. When you sent the payment, did paypal give you his address/phone number. (not sure whether they do on gifts or not) Failing that, stick his email address into google, facebook, myspace etc. if hes in a different facebook network to you, then youll have to get one of your mates in the same network to view his profile(or change your network to the same as his/alternatively set up a fake profile and add him) you may get his mobile number off there, but if nothing else, even if hes in a different network and you only get to see his name, you got his name, and where he is roughly from. can then go onto the bt site, and search for his second name and town (hopefully his name isnt williams or jones or he lives in london s youll be pretty knackered, but if his names something a bit odd and he lives in the arse end of nowhere, your sorted). Give his house number a ring, can either tell him straight up how it is, can pretend its your father/family friend whos got a bit of experience in law, and that hes got 14 days to return the money, or you will start legal proceedings against him to recover your losses in the small claims court, and that you will be sending him out a letter confirming this in the post tomorrow. (bear in mind when you get his phone number off the bt site, you get his address too)
  21. Nah for once I think Matts spot on the point, and something none of us had though about, by putting the V mounts further apart on a 24, theyll be way more succeptible to catching your heel/the crank arm, if your catching the crank arm, youll have to have a wider bb to clear the V brake arms.
