  1. I was led by the fully built citreon traction avant sat right behind it.
  2. Citreon traction avant/11cv?? first mass produced monocoque chassis'd car??
  3. just buy them off ebay mate, if you can fit them yourself, local bike shop should do it for like £5-10 a wheel. Currently running a AC 10 on the back, and a dunlop d739 on the front of my ktm. probably too knobbly for you (squirms like hell on the road etc) look at the maxxis c6006 tyres etc for something that is still perfectly usable and semi sensible on the road.
  4. 1.6 petrol is the smallest they do, as far as i know.
  5. chin down to your chest, that way if he does come at you with an uppercut, he aint gunna take your head off, and your nose aint stickin out to far either + it stops the rotational force about your head a fair bit. But in all fairness, if he wants to fight and you cant get out of it, you might as well have a pop at him. whats the worst that could happen??
  6. + 1 I damaged my hand a couple of years back, and ill be honest, its never healed properly, mainly because i was to stubborn to see a doctor, still get twinges in it now if i have to lift a stupid heavy weight in that hand etc, and i know if i punch someone full pelt with it again, itll more than likely go back to how it was. with me i kind of caught my last 2 knuckles on the object i hit and they stopped fairly dead, and the rest of my hand just kind of carried on going, not sure whether it seperated them from the other 2 or what. but get it checked out, after a couple of days once the initial swelling had started to go down, it was agony to change gear in my car for a good couple of weeks, and as i say, it still aint right now. as for punching stuff over a women, i thought the forum consensus was always "Punch women over stuff" not "Punch stuff over women"
  7. yea but surely most of them are group texts, youll only write like 20-30 texts a day surely, unless u got a gf who does the whole 1 word text thing.
  8. insurance groups dont mean sh*t. (no offence, but they dont, i used to judge cars on insurance groups, but last year when i bought my car, i could get insured on a 7k type R, for £400 less than i could get insured on a 7k merc c220 cdi coupe (5 seconds difference in 0-60 times, and 25 mph difference in top speed)
  9. i just wrote a massive post out and lost it, but essentially... ive driven the st, and a clio 197 (pretty much the same as a trophy i guess???) clio 197 was meh, below 5000 rpm, it just felt like a 1.6 or so engined hatch. did feel boring(and nothing special), then at 5000ish, it went a bit mental, which was fun, but at 5000 your already 2/3 of the way through the rev range, so before you know it you had to change up a gear. which got boring very fast, to keep it in a "ready for fun" position, you have to have the engine revving its nuts off using loads of fuel. whereas in the focus, you could just plant your foot anywhere from crusing at 2000 rpm, and itd stick you back in the seat, and youd be going like a bat out of hell. not to mention the focus was quite a nice place to be when compared to the clio. however for 12k you can get a brand new wrx, for £16,500 you can get a brand new wrx sti. (both of which are stupid fun on a/b roads, stupid quick, and have the potential to go quicker (the wrx is semi tame at 240 bhp, but with that £4500, you could have a £500 remap, sti 0-60 times(sub 5 secons i think) and £4000 worth of petrol). but the sti is just immensely quick, quite nice to look at(wider arches etc), handles like nobodies business and will have stupid remaps and bigger turbo/intercooler etc kits out for it in the near future, as its a turbocharged jap motor.)) or, seat leon cupra k1, in white, just cant see why not. as for the r32 and the megane, never driven either, so cant really comment. I quite like dsg boxes, but am semi worried as to the costs of replacing clutches etc in them (not sure if you know how they work, basically 2 seperate shafts, 2 clutch packs, 1/3/5 on 1 shaft and 2/4/6 on the other, engages the next logical gear on the other shaft ready (works it out using whether the revs are going up or going down) and as soon as one clutch disengages, the other engages. obviously its electronically done, so no driver error riding the clutch, but can see when they do go, it could be a stupid expensive, specialist job to replace)
  10. i got one of them, and its horrible, it flexes, its not straight (sits an inch higher on the right than the left till i stick some weight on it, and just feels crap). however i havent trained really since september, am trying to get into it, but at the moment, its just bare cardio with a couple of bits of weights mixed in, might try my hand at some alternative training methods in the coming months, want to cut down to 190 lbs or so by summer. (todays weight was 232 pounds, down from 250) although my weight may be the reason the bar flexes so much.
  11. and the reason it stays social is because its bitter, not a knock on you at all, but bitter is such a social session drink its kind of great, but also kind of crap in the same sense, that if you want to get drunk, it doesnt really do the trick. anyone read anything about how your body can only process 20 or so units of alcohol a day, and how after a couple of days it just adjusts to it, rather than flushing it out of your system, so after a week long binge, you may well keep a blood alcohol level above the legal limit for up to a week.(as your body wont piss it out, itll just absorb it and deal with it slowly, with your blood alcohol level dropping slowly for a good few days) not sure whether its complete bull to try and stop us binge drinking by playing the drink drive card on us, or whethers its actually got any truth.
  12. erm, it says im an alcoholic, and im semi inclined to believe them between 17 and 19/20, i did have a drink problem now i look back on it, i was constantly getting to wasted and drinking too much (but its kind of what we do as youngsters anyway) the trouble is i quickly built a resiliance up to alcohol, to the point where id think nothing of finishing a bottle of scotch or vodka before leaving to go to a club (i was pissed as a fart, but still functioned normally). Id sat in drinking with people i knew before, and had a guy passed out in the toilet, whilst i was sat there playing xbox like i was sober. over the last year ive calmed it down a lot, but the trouble is, it doesnt take much to go back to drinking the way i was, generally find a couple of days on it, and im back to my old ways. dont really count holidays as there my break to go silly, to stop me from doing it the rest of the time, but i drank a gallon of spirits on top of a €400 euro bar bill on a recent trip to italy. and after a mates recent death, i drank stupidly for basically a week, just so i didnt have to deal with it, talking 3/4 bottles of whisky and a couple of crates of cider in the weak. although recently ive been enjoying going out and gettin sociably drunk rather than plastered, i still find that i dont really need much of an excuse to go back to getting blind drunk. But i can easily stop, i did 3 weeks between the bank holidays, and ill most likely go till the next time i go out in manchester before i drink. my saving grace as i see it, is the fact that i dont drink in my house, which stops me from hitting whisky whilst just chilling at home etc. depends on the night, how much ive had to drink, how much ive drank in the 2/3 weeks previous, and what ive eaten. I can be anything from having 4 cans of regular strength cider ('bow, woodpecker, koppaberg, blackthorn etc) and feeling semi done in, still talking and walking fine, but feeling slightly messed up in my head. to drinking half a crate and not feeling a thing.
  13. Girls on form tonight.Although it wasnt as epic as the first.
  14. but im not quite so sure his real name is actually David, in which case, its a rather stupid name.
  15. naaa, ive got a couple more comedy names i want to use up first.
  16. Our cat was fairly meowy when bathing it, but it didnt really try and claw me too much, and afterwards, when it realised wed actually helped it, it was really affectionate, and now doesnt really give a toss about being stuck in the bath.
  17. Size of your pecs babe, you best pick a shorter word .
  18. in a word, a hyphen, then another word : sh*t-hot. I got mine a while back now, 2 mates have bought them after playing with mine, it just feels really sorted,a real nice touchscreen, internets good on it, iplayers a neat but useless little feature, the fact you can turn it into a wireless router is cool too.
  19. If your songs are managed by itunes, theyll be in like my music/itunes/itunes music/ *then a load of folders from f00 to f49*/ * a load of 4 character named mp3's*. and theyll stay there(can copy the whole folder elsewhere if you want) and then go into itunes, and click file/export library, and then save the library somewhere obvious, you can just re-import the library once you reinstalled.
  20. Watched it ages ago, and remember saying to my ex, it really did change my outlook on him, and to a certain extent, my own life. It shows you the other side with his depression, the whole matt biggot car crash thing and his guilt , his night terrors etc. stuff thats kind of all kept hush hush.
  21. Id say quite simply dont go there, although didnt Rob p from here get with a 15 year old when he was 18, and thinks were all fine and dandy. but as a rule of thumb, remember, she aint even legal yet.
  22. So it tightens as you pedal, despite looking the opposite way, the fact that its a something rotating within a bearing, the small amount of force on the outside of the bearing will be going the opposite way to rotation. at least thats how I had it explained to me many moons ago.
  23. all these strange ways of remembering it, just remember it tightens in the opposite direction to the direction you pedal (or loosens in the same direction you pedal)
