  1. Thanks for the spoilers, but im impatient and read them anyway, luckily didnt give anything away that I cared about(apart from possibly the hardy result) Im only really interested in seeing how wilks/pearson/nick OmNomNomPancakeWhatsHisFace get on, and the bisping fight. the ultimate fighter season 10 is pretty crap. Roy Nelson has got to be the dullest most arrogant up his own arse twat ever, sure you won a few fights a few years ago, but now your just a fat bloke who should of hung up the gloves a long time ago. The judges are pretty much idiots (that fight should of gone to a 3rd round, or if a decision was to be given at that point, it surely should of been in wrens favour)
  2. right, this is being put out to the computer minded amongst you. Whats the deal with netbooks right now?? As in are there any out there that will play HD videos, and come with a HDMI output. And is it possible to increase the 160gb hd they come with?? Basically Im currently laptopless(have been without my own for ages, but the 2 ive bought for mother(as I broke the first) were kind of used by me a fair bit if I needed them, as I bought them), Ive had a big laptop before, and as cool as it was having a big screen just there, it was a ballache carting it round etc. Im possibly workin away in 2 weeks time, and will be wanting some form of entertainment(i.e films) and net access whilst im away, But I could also do with some form of media player to take with me when I go to the caravan in wales mtbing/on the piss, Ive been using a 15 inch laptop positioned pretty close this year. But as were gettin a spangly new flatscreen tv for their next year, Id like something to plug that into. If its uncluttered, easy to move round etc, Ill be quite happy taking it round to mates to watch a film/round the house to watch stuff. Likewise something small like that can be chucked in my car with my phone and my wallet when I go to work, for lunchtime ebaying(as trying to do it on my phone is a bit of a ballache). And again If im heading on holiday for 3 weeks skiing this year(as well as possibly another roadtrip next summer) itd be nice to have something I could stick in my hand luggage easily(without it taking up my hand luggage) for keeping in touch away from home, backing up photos, and watching films on (currently looking at the 3m pico projectors for example to plug into it) Its a case of a 10 inch netbook, A £200 projector, and a £100 portable hard drive could take up a miniscule amount of space and be an absolute godsend in communication/media playback on the move. But how do the netbooks handle playing films? will they run photoshop(an older version is fine)? are they cool with importing say 200 pics off a camera and uploading them to the web? Do any of them come with a HDMI and a VGA output(although one is hoping that there will be HDMI pocket projectors out by the time im going, given the speed they're advancing atm)? sorry to ask quite simple questions, but Im not finding much up to date on google, all the stuff is 6-8 months old at least, which given the rate that technology moves at(and im guessing is moving more so in the micro laptop world, as its such a young technology, and its not actually new technology, its old technology made smaller) Isnt really ideal.
  3. Im kinda with simps on it,Although the multiplayer has changed from mw and world at war, it feels almost too different, Perks, unlocks etc, all seem almost like someones tried to copy the modern warfare 1 style for their own franchise, and failed miserably. Im kinda expecting people to go back to 4 in semi large numbers after a month or so. Cool things im expecting/wanting them to release. A map pack featuring all the COD4 maps. (surely cant be as hard as creating levels from scratch, and people would go semi nuts over them) Is there an overkill perk at all?or do we settle for bling(not a moan exactly, but think equiping a scar with a red dot, and then a famas with a thermal scope, could make for a killer combo thats deadly at all ranges) also, not on there right now, but can you unlock scopes etc for the handguns(saw the red dot/silencers, but wasnt paying attention really) Im not really a sniper, but feel on most of these levels, you need a proper scoped weapon fairly often.
  4. Likewise, domination is now nuts though.
  5. nope, was slightly worried when I heard it on the news( I know a ban wave is ongoing, but thought maybe today was the day they went in for the big kill) but nah, got home, and everything is a-ok atm. not liking the fact that microsoft are now crippling offline functionality for the 360 as well now when your banned.
  6. I found the ending semi dissapointing, I really cant believe it was all a set up and captain price had turned to the dark side with makarov.
  7. Think im going to go purchase a copy after work tomorrow if theres any left, although theres this part of me that wants to not buy it till ive completed borderlands(which could be some time). Wasnt that impressed really, its still a hell of a game, but had nowhere near the impact of the first modern warfare, and there wernt that many bits of the campaign that were stand out brilliance like in the first one. spec ops is fairly mint though.
  8. I tend to accept adds off people , then have a nose round, see if I know them/want to know them, and then if they get on my nerves theyll get deleted, if not they stay. I hardly ever add people to facebook unless im trying to nail them(thats matt orr, simps and lil skoze covered(although im waiting till your 18)) other people like bongo and mike "the scientist" duffield got added because im interested in what their doing (not in a day to day "tell me what your wearing" style, but I generally give mikes mixes a listen, and bongo has some decent shots of a man in leather riding a bike rather quickly. Only trouble with declining adds off people straight away is they sometimes lead to actually finding people you properly know etc.
  9. Class 2 is standard C license aye? as opposed to C+E. If so, yes ive completed the training although failed the test, its not hard, but do it somewhere you know(that was my major downfall, failing once for not using an out of service buslane on a route id never driven down before, and another time for taking the 3rd exit, not the 4th at a 5 way cross roads(he said turn right) what you want to know? moneys not great btw.
  10. if he doesnt know what hes doing, its not that simple. and he possibly risks being banned from live for doing it. basically the drive holds a key that identifies it to the xbox, so you cant just rip a drive out of one and whack it in another. so he basically needs to go the same extent as flashing it to play backups(google jungleflasher tutorial), only rather than whacking modded firmware onto the drive, he has to unplug the one drive, plug the new in, and then dump the original firmware back onto that drive. reason he risks being banned from live, is something no one can confirm or deny, but basically the xbox360 can now detect an error message when the xbox is powered on with no drive connected to the sata port(and unless hes going to buy an external power kit for it, which means hell be spending a lot on something to repair his xbox), logs this error code and sends it to microsoft next time he signs into live. This can *apparently* get you banned, as modifying the console in any way (which basically means breaking the warranty even if its expired in any way) is a bannable offence. chances are he wont like, buts its worth bearing in mind. that is assuming his drive powers on correctly and hasnt just sh*t the bed completely. however new lasers for the drives run to about £9, and a drive is £15-25 brand new, dependant on which drive is in it.
  11. See im indifferent towards people talking about pre released/, I admit I download games(although any that Id normally buy, ill buy, for live, as I dont run that risk(although I know there is still that risk, and i will get banned someday). And I do talk about it pre release, but I dont see it as gloating/boasting, I see it more about informing people, for example if someone had told me how dire COD: world at war was, I wouldnt of spunked £40, Id either of bought it off a mate for £20 later on,borrowed it for a week or whatever. Likewise, having now played borderlands, If id of had it pre release Id of told everyone to buy that over whatever other crap was coming out that week. As for your personal choices, their yours, mine are mine, and his are his. I dont believe in piracy for profit, and will be buying modern warfare 2 on release day. but I really dont see the harm in people downloading games to try, then to buy if they like/see any longevity in them. There is games like the bourne conspiracy, I bought(because I was spending a warranty card in dixons, and it was in their newly released section, and also in their top 3) played for about 4 minutes, and has promptly sat on my floor since, I havent traded it in, partly because I feel allowing somebody else to play it, is possibly a worse crime than piracy, Im suprised it wasnt wrote into the geneva convention its that bad.
  12. Yay and nay, up until about 3 weeks ago, I was still good friends with my ex from 5 years ago.looked out for each other etc, the only problem came, when ever she got out of a relationship, things became semi awkward. due to the fact that our relationship ended so I could go and be a dickhead 70 miles away all summer, and not because either of us fell out, or went off the other. So it worked 90% of the time. Only thing was I felt several times it stopped me from getting with girls due to her. (Fish knows one of them), others she just despised, and one was her ex best friend. But then all but one, I wouldnt of met if it wasnt for her. We fell out over a stupid thing(her interperating somethings I said in the wrong way), I know shes probably expecting an apology off me, so things can get back to normal, but as I dont see I was in the wrong, I doubt shell be getting one. I do kind of miss just chatting shit with her on an evening over msn, but meh, thats life.
  13. Who the hell ever rode trials in or around barmouth, I can think of 1 trials rider from barmouth, and about 3-4 from dolgellau? im from ellesmere, 10-11 miles south of wrexham, but im now an ex rider. moved onto moto trials, and keep meaning to move onto enduro. EDIT: you get cool points for having a) a pritchard quote/brandname in your sig. and b ) a rhod gilbert quote in your profile.
  14. Yea it might only be £37.99 instead of £44.99, but thats still £7 you could spend on supernoodles,ky jelly, national express tickets of whatever it is students like to buy these days. Random fact: when GTA4 came out, and was sold out everywhere, I bought it off a bloke stood in hmv trying to sell it on the quiet, as hed completed it, and just wanted cash. I got it for £30, despite the fact he could of stood outside game or gamestation and charged somewhere double that for it.
  15. you can get all inclusive to the south of spain or gran canaria for like £140 a week at the moment, thats a week of eating and drinking as much as you can for £140.
  16. Yea but for your second birthday, your dad did name a fairly famous alcholic drink after you.
  17. Dunno, you sure, depends if he puts out in my opinion.
  18. Ive completed it today, Although wont be playing it online till post release. Single player is good, and some of the spec ops (like minigame) missions are mint.Thing I liked about COD4 and this is how immersive the single player campaign is, but trouble is, when playing it, it felt like I was comparing the similarities way too much, rather than just playing the game. Personally I'd wait till theres some reviews out there of the multiplayer game, as it may be just cod4 tweaked, or totally different(its got a percentage indicator on the multiplayer option) so dont know if in conjunction with the regular levels and prestiges, there will be challenges or objectives to complete. by which time some people will have traded it in, and youll be able to save a few quid buying it pre owned. From playing spec ops missions, which I can only assume use very similar, if not the same maps, level design is good.but its not a huge advance in online console gaming like call of duty 4 was, so people may still end up playing that more as its what they know best (and dont want to spend 2 years reaching level 10 prestige or whatever this time around)
  19. Bollox, thats 1 person I must avoid when im telling my stories in the apres ski bars. I tell you what, if you do bump into me, dont question the story, and back me up if I start talking about the abdominal snowman. and theres a pint of heineken in it for you.
  20. Really, So not only will I look cool with my skis sat next to me at one the of the bars on the slope, talking about "jib", "FS Spins" and "rad lines" people will know im cool on the slopes with my snow trails.
  21. Learn quick, nah I dont see that its an issue really, if youve got a half decent ski resort near by, theyll be a bunch of tourists goint here every year, so instructors/locals will be used to seeing chumps fall off planks of wood repeatedly on a near flat hill. a week of lessons, and you should look semi respectable(ive had an hours lesson on a snowboard, then 2 hours playing round on my mates on holiday, and I could almost pass myself off as being someone whod learnt as a kid and never done it since. (as in I could get down a green or something without being on my ass every turn). but after a few days of proper lessons youd be sorted.
  22. I have to side with joe, let her come over, nail the shit outta her, dont get with her, give her some reason about distance, and that your not too sure if you want a piece right now, and send her on her way. you get to rattle her, she either gets to rattle you, job done, or she actually wants to get back with you, in which case, youve won,as you brought her over for some sex. unless it was number 2, or jade, ive bagsied them(altho, i think id have to bagsie, and then paper bag jade)
  23. Yea people always say that to me too, although they're pretty quick to apologise when they realise im not wearing one.
