mbuk are aware of this scam and have been for a while, the reasons its used so much is due to the ease of which they can access emails on the snitz board. its a scam, and reporting it would be an idea, although it achieves nothing. there are about god knows how many thousand people in nigeria sending out these scams now, and emails come nearly every day through mbuk and sdh forums to me. i wouldnt worry about it, just delete it and wait for the next one to come along

hi, kinda live about 35 minutes from chester, and just got back into riding as ive had a 2 year lay off. would be up for riding there sometime in the future once ive had a bit more practice. altho as far as im concerned, chester is very poor for riding spots, phil williams tried filmin an echo vid there, wasnt much to be filmed at all iirc. wrexham on the other hand has a fair few decent spots an is only like 15 minutes away from you .

good point, but bear the following in mind. because after thinking about im sure jacking it up an checking the wheel bearing would be a good idea. you understand how the grinding may become more aparent during cornering to one direction, and less apparent during cornering to the other direction, exactly the same effect happens when road camber changes. if it comes and goes, then its most likely something else, but if heards a fair chunk of time, with the odd few seconds or so of no noise, then it may well be the bearing still. but think you would be best of jacking the car up, using a high quality trolley jack, spinning the wheel, checking for play, an if you can hear the noise while its jacked up, try to locate it if it aint the wheel bearing. could be something totally irrelevant and easy to fix, but highly unlikely, had a bloke come in with an iveco once complaining of a gone nearside rear wheel bearing, noise became apparent going round right hand bends at speed. turns out his handbrake cable was sittin about 3mm off the tyre, and the cornering force made it contact the tyre and make a scraping sound. obiviously wouldnt be this(unless mk1 clios have a very alternative handbrake routing scheme ) but may be worth bearing in mind that its not always the sensible suggestions that are right.

pretty much as trials_pimp stated. if youve had that side again tis quite likely it will of gone again, especially if you let it get bad before you change it. had a couple of transit connects(between an escort an a trannie size wise, focus floor pan etc) come in with knackered wheel bearings, change them, then 2 months down the line they come back in with the same fault. if you let it get too bad, wear will either happen in the hub where the wheel bearings pressed into, or in the driveshaft, making the bearing more succeptable to forces from certain angles, increasing wear.

well, something happened to me a coupe of years back on a disused grass bank doin 180's, and i tried removin a metal spike that was stickin in the ground, next thing i know a cop car comes up, and arrests the 3 of us, we tell them we aint movin cos were not leavin £4k of bikes sittin on the street. the guy then calls for back up to remove the bikes, this comes across as back up, the next thing, we have 8 cop cars down there, a 4 x4, and a riot van, (which only has 4 non riot police in it). were sent to the local police station, with so many cop cars buzzing round this quiest estate, the papers wer rang, and it made 3/4 of the front page of the local paper the following day (no pictures due to our ages though). my mates dad then had his say the next day in another 3/4 page spread in about page 8, saying we wernt doin anything wrong. police have convicted all 3 of us for resisting arrest(by refusing to leave with the bikes), and criminal damage due to skidmarks on the grass. (skidmarks, for fcuks sake, its a grass bank thats disused) with an estimated cost of £140 damage tot he grass bank(how much grass can you buy with £140). basically the matter would of been dropped,but the police had to make it more serious to protect there image as the thug busters, not some band of 20 guys who arrest 3 people for ridin on a grass bank. the officer also admitted to a mates mum that he had "flipped" and thats the reason he called for back up, rather than asssistance or transport, if we could of proved hed said this. charges would of had to of been dropped. i dont really care about the whole incident, however, i was 14 at the time, the police now have my photo, passport number, fingerprints and DNA on file. i also have a criminal record, which is looked down on by colleges, unis, most places of employment, mortgages, finance companies, credit cards, car insurance, entry to the USA for life. it dont matter what i did wasnt serious, but by ticking the box that i have a criminal record on an application form, chances are it will go in the bin. note: upon arrest/detail taking, even if charges are dropped , police still have paperwork, and you dont have to be taken to court, i wasnt, i accepted the charges during my interview, as i wasnt guna go to court and lose, (because although its pahetic, i did refuse to enter the cop car, and did place marks on the bank, which is the questions they would ask, by answering yes to both, im as good as guilty. and id then incur a heftier penalty and court costs). numerous mates have got records wich are spent after 5 years(meaning you dont have to declare them after 5 years) however, at 16-21 this affects a lot of things, car finance, student loans, uni application, car insurance, jobs, or travel while on a gap year.

yeh, however , using my suggestion , you wouldnt be payin to download, youd be paying to be a member of trials shack, which offers free downloads to members. the fact that you few people would pay, however this would reduce the amount of people who would be using the site, less bandwidth. what about a limit of ten downloads a month per user, then a £2 charge to make any more d/l, would mean everyone gets to d/l the ace downloads each month, but to download a large amount, and use up large amounts of bandwidth, would make a contribution to the cost of extra bandwidth. i know youve said your not going to make a charge to anyone. but surely by charging u/loaders, it would detract from many people making new vids.

this may be a stupid idea, may of been discussed before, or may plain not work, but why dont you change the system. rather than having people with accounts pay for the extra band width, why dont you introduce a system where you would have to pay a small amount (£1) to download videos from there a month.or £10 for a years subscription or whatever. the way i see it is, it cant really fail. if everyone who downloads now pays to download the movies, you can afford more bandwidth , a new pc, and small beach home on the cornish coast. if only a few people download the videos, and share amongst other non paying people over msn etc to save everyone paying £1 a month. then the bandwidth goes down, (which means less money) but it means there is no need to upgrade the bandwidth. it also means as the hosting of vids is still free, then no ones guna stop making vids due to the cost of them getting hosted.
