This was a swatch advert he did in the late 80's and that is a bunnyhop!!! linky thats my favorite photo i've seen

no not on a par. but damn near considering price. But only the greens, somehow the yellows are crap. and i've had both too! I think Yellows are the best too.
-
So to help the guy out... and because i am interested too. With preconceptions about a pro2 (My choice of forward motion) being consistent/better at the mo aside; what is the best freewheel at the moment? what do we reckon?
-
or these in green lime compound /onza-citrus-brake-pads £6.99 a pair and multi pack discount. buy more and save more best performance i've had except HSB yellow CNC. Slight grind to smooth for the limes and smooth for the yellas

18-12 is a higher ratio (harder to pedal) than 24-18. once this starts to feel 'right' again, you'll probs (almost certainly) never go back. If you wanna try on the cheap, put a 16t on the back making 24-16. This as close to 18-12 you are gonna get without committing fully. This maybe? i know it says coming soon but give RnR a ring to be sure, stuff is often 'in but not up'. Give it a go!

it now has 3 offers. Spam from peeps on here?

the hub and chan stays nearly fixed

^ SL's are not living up to the hype they once rightly deserved. as for hope making a proto. Halla-f666ing-luya. But I personally wouldn't bet on it being a hit in the bmx (park) world though, From my experience this lot are stuck in their ways, completely closed minded, so would be highly sceptical about a non-BMX brand and those with money would go with Gsport or profile because of this. The people who have had experience in mountain bikes may be interested in this hub but I don't think would invest. IMO, aiming at the bmx racer like king do may be the target audience hope would be after. Trials riders would obviously buy in too. But what do I know, ey? EDIT: I am not trying to make this out as a pointless product BTW. Just that I don't think the market is right.
-
Yeah I didn't get it either. 60's are fine (owned 4 of them at last count) and so was the 96 upto that 3 month point, then it didn't like me anymore and went to rat droppings.
-
Tensile 96? not much wrong strength and reliability wise, but the lockring self-loosened on my example after about 3 months and then over the next month would not stay tight. Then it sh*t is guts all over my sidehop preload so I abandoned it to the tool box. But i reckon i could make it work again if need be. Just gonna superglue the lockring shut like we did to ACS claws back when, after putting new internals in of course.

I'd a thought so. What's yours like for tube flex? I've had a go on a couple of 2010 blades for example and like them geo wise but the flex both at the brake and more crucially the BB/yoke/DT was bad.
-
I think I can sum up. That's an eyes wide shut moment that is.
-
But they are pure geo for people who don't want an echo anymore? People like me.

Someone in another thread said 'but it's a genesis' about this bike. What is supposed to be wrong with it? I want one of these frames and no amount of snobbery is gonna stop me... Bike looks rite, ride it.

I have always assumed, correct or not, that because few or no one trials riding would specifically spec a straight pull one, that it is for a market other than ourselves. Eg. http://www.lfgss.com/ and the straight pull shell can be bought outside of a hopehoop. there's a part no and everything. I know because the exploded diagram is blu-tacked to my bedroom wall next to 2 pro2 pen holders/small parts bins. I walk past it every morning. gimme a minute. BIG EDIT: Forum crashed for a minute then, lost my train of thought PROIIEvoSS-Trialexploded With that part no I could walk into my LBS/hope dealer, slap £70 on' table and order me self one of them shells. BUT this is all besides the point. Mini pro2 please hope. ASAP.

if what i said was nonsense, i will edit and delete. But it still made sense when I re-read the quote; or it does at least to me, although I was/am in a kinda mood, 'cos the urk in my college class was p***ing me the f**k off by his existence this morning. excuse me peeps i'm off editing (and gonna put some more soothing music on ) EDIT: any better?? EDIT 2: Echo 108s undermine the need for a mod pro2. A matching set of hope hubs would be nice on a 20 but not a must have existing trials gear is better and cheaper than hope gear. You could say that about BMX kings, but people still spec 'em. Some even go to the faff on building a disc one. I'd + a thousand for the mod pro 2.
-
yes, there is a straight pull option shell on the hope parts list. This is because the trials version is denominated SS/T as in single speed/trials and thus not specifically for us people. I believe the straight pull Pro2/3 is more aimed at people like SS MTB nutters and hardcore/rich commuters who want a hub that can take repeated gate starts at traffic lights in high gears.

There is a precedent for this kind of thing I am biased as on the odd occasion I could have been of these 'off piste hoodlems' (read the link, that's a direct quote) when quite legitimately competing on the mototrial. It's not like I was ragging around on a unsafe pit bike with no brakes etc. This is only an example, but the ramblers tried this sh*t up round here. They lost. HAAAAAAAA!! I sure these hardcore of pissy sock and sandal wearing ramblers give everyone in their peer group a bad rep too. But this kind of spinelessly taking other peoples pleasure away by being an arsehole, really rather annoys me. In fact it leaves me in utter distain. EDIT: The simple matter is that it is EVERYONE'S countryside, and we should be able to enjoy it, provided it is within core values, as we wish. -
Working from 2 friends experience, Blues are mushy and the compound far too soft. turned to blue dust on a grind and were squidgy on smooth. My CNC yellows are mint though Frame: inspired Fourplay V2 Rim: Smooth inspired pro rim with or without a smear of tar Brake: 05 mag full brake with a 2 finger, mag clamps with plastic washers, T/tech 2 bolt and water bleed). complete opposites. Don't think it's cos they are on a street bike either, These are going on the long bike when it comes back out too (rear V brake).

out of interest (and quite possibly for future reference) Uk dealer for the disc profile?? A possible special order from tarts perhaps?

Mad Tryout Day! Want To Ride For The Mad Demo Team This Year?
CC12345678910 replied to Joe Papasnap Maher's topic in News
I'd love to, but you are all the way darrn saarth. What a bugger. -
Cos it's an atomz design (Premier mod with 135mm back end) and crewkers (ie. the same people) are gonna use it. they've developed/sourced their own hanger and tensioner specially for this purpose. What happened with atomz anyway?? did the partnership with the sunn group end? (read 'get messy') if not is it a simple atomz rebrand?

heavy guage paper, double or triple folded carrier bag or a cut up drinks can to pack out the splines i think. Is the bolt bottoming out on the end of the thread before it tightens the crank fully. Check this by putting some permanent marker (really coat it on) or dark paint (black) on the bolt threads. now screw the bolt home and back again (it should have no colour on it). DIY depth guage Is the spacer excessively rounded over or mashed? and does the bolt have the washer on? again the bolt will bottom out without it.
