  1. had a nightmare getting echo foam grips on my new jitsie carbon bars last night. it's hard enough to get the grip with a smaller diameter than the bars. that combined with the textured lacquer it's near impossible to get it to slide on, even with a hairdryer. Found a way to do it easily so thought i'd share! i simply got a 1/2 inch socked extender which the grip slipped on to the narrow end. i then sprayed tons of hairspray on the bar and moved the grip up and down to get it covered inside. then put the bar in the vice and pulled the grip over the wide end i did this a few times to stretch the grip. then you pull the grip up to the wide end, put the wide bit against the end of your bars and pull it over. after that it was pretty easy to slide the grip over and onto the handlebars.
  2. i've had an Ozonys curve MK2 for about 8 years. I'd fitted and used snail cams from the start but last year i decided to try a sprung tensioner. I used a heatsink ultralight to avoid a hanger to bend and it worked great. This meant the back end was a bit tighter with the shortest chain length and i don't need to readjust the brake each time i tension the chain! The annoying thing is that there's a boss in the chainstay that looks like it's for an integrated tensioner (pic attached) Does anyone know what they were like? does anyone know of anythng these das that would be compatible or have one spare? tis a mystery....

  12. yeah, a nice wee skinny crank, just thick enough to get the holes in. soft alloy is good as it compresses a little helping the seal. as long as the surfaces are square with the hose ends.
  13. made it before the T-Tech one came out. There was nothing else that would work with braided hoses! Made it out of a 30mm section of alloy MTB crank with a vertical drill and an M6 Tap

  16. I just identified my dads body and still can't believe he's gone. He was out fishing on gladhouse resevoir last night with his friend drew yesterday afternoon and there was an accident. They didn't make it back to shore. He was a good friend as well as an amazing father. If my friends can let other people who knew him know as he had time for everybody and will be missed by many. thanks, Rab
