Finally an event up north! I'll still be going Jack Meek fest too. But yeah am deffo up for this with hopefully 4-6 others. Just google mapped n its about 2 hours. Credit to Joe for organising an event like this and the tarty guys for helping . Cant wait! Andy

Nothing wrong with onza's.. i had a 2003 t-vee when i first started when they first came out.. great learner bike and then i progressed onto the t-mag and so on. But onza have recently stepped up more in the game to compete with other brands like the limey 4 at a great price and design. I think i would much prefer to push an onza than ride a over priced koxx bike.

After owning my giro e2 for the past 4 years i think its time to upgrade i had it in silver and this time i would not mind a black helmet. I would go for another e2 if i could but they are sadly discontinued. Been doing some research at work with Madison ( importer for giro and many other leading brands) and i have come across the giro xar which looks pretty cool and is a continued version of the e2 similar price and slight shaping. Now here is the daft question does anyone on here own one? If so could you please post a picture of yourself wearing it am picky when it comes to these decisions i am just curious how it seats and looks on your head. Many Thanks Andy

Sounds like snapped clip on the backing where the piston goes. Happened to my old zoo pads years ago did not notice until one ride it decided to pop out!

To both questions it is entirely up to you especially if there is a specific pedal platform that you like. As for the sealed vs unsealed depending on how much quality you want and how long you want them to last and of course budget!. Andy

I can guarantee they will still catch even with that clearance as when you ride the bike you are applying weight which is gonna give a slight flex if thats a way to put it. No doubt you will end up having to ditch the burns its what i had to do when i upgraded to a modern frame. Even running your cranks on the widest b.b on the market can still cause catching reason being middleburns have a 28mm clearance offset. modern cranks such as trialtechs run on a 33mm offset. I hated the day i had to get rid of them to say i had mine for 7-8 years and they come with life time warranty as those cranks were the bomb in the old days still are now to be fair as i ran mine on the original rs7 bash then upgraded to a cloud9. if middleburn were to re release some cranks with more clearance i would quite happily go back to them. But now i have bonded well with my trialtech set up. EDIT: Just remembered i even had to get a grinder to my burns ( which brought a tear to my eye seeing £100 cranks getting butchered) to see if it would resolve the problem it did for a while but when it came to setting brakes up it was a problem. It was pain when i upgraded to say i was running on square taper lol Andy

Very nice spec with the full shimano components. 30 speed? You'll deffo have those extra gears for climbs and stuff compared to the likes of a 24 or 27 speed bike. Thanks yeah its one of my custom builds with hope brakes, lx and xt parts, 140mm rock shox.. my next upgrades is pro2 hubs. Its my new xc bike rides so nice and the longer stem made a difference and feels easier for riding up hills. The welcome ornament is actually a gargoyle .. My mum seems to have them allover our garden etc lol Let us know how you get on with it when you receive it and maybe get some pics or videos
