I ran an RB lever on my Pure. Had to run about 3 boosters because the frame flex was silly. Felt so comfortable, and I loved that lever to bits. With all the boosters, there was no lever spongey feel. After a while though, the seals went and it leaked like a seive. Think Prawns got it now. I couldnt be bothered to put in new seals, so just sold it. They seem to be very hit and miss as to their performance. If you can get one cheap, I would reccomend one anyway, as they are just so very comfortable.

I must have had over 10 different sets of pads in the past year alone. I was after a pad that worked well on a clean rim, and tried almost every pad out on the market.

no no no, if you want cheering up, watch this Got sent the link over MSN, just pissed myself

I will agree there. Echo CNC rim holds grinds really well, and is a very nice strong rim. Given mine quite a lot of abuse so. The grinds still going strong, after about 2 months of riding (mostly natural as well)

The Saint is completely different to every single shimano hub out there. As already mentioned, it has a 3 prawl ratchet systrem, similar to hopes. Nick is loving his, so if you are after something a little different from the norm, then I say go for it and get one!

Thanks for all the interest so far guys  Someone mentioned maybe at the end of the day, doing a speed trials round. What are your views on that? One on one races at the end of the day, just for fun...

There are quite a few places that deal with Norco. Search here for your nearest norco dealer

I'll give TRA a pound. It definitely would be ace to see him there.

Yea Clives Style is a little different, but you have to remember, the majority of people in the crowd that he is talking to, arent trials riders. If he just sat there rambling on about trials moves, its going to be boring for non riders, which is really who its aimed at. Maybe its just because I know clive well, and have heard him commentate far more than anyone else here, and Im used to his odd sense of humour.

sent my entry off today, for sunday

I've had the same problem with my white heatsinks. They grip ace going forwards, but the slightest slip backwards and they let go. I dont think it has anything to do with the grind, but I think its more pad compound or something. The second I put my Plaz pads on, they worked ace straight off. James, have you tried any other pads on the rim, to see if they grip any better?

But if these kind of laws go ahead, then Montesa will be the only ones left in the competition. Look at how small all the other companies are, beta, gas gas, sherco. These companies dont have the funding to develop a 4 stroke motor.
-
I saw that! Yea section 6, there was no way anyone could get enough drive from the sloped block to get up. It does seem that Doughie isnt getting on with the 4RT Honda, but thats the problem with 4 strokes. They have more overal speed, and are more efficient, but their power is slower to be delivered. I think it is a bit unfiar that Honda are the only company using 4 strokes because Doughie is really suffering for it. It seems that 4 strokes have no place in trials at the moment

To solve this problem of queueing, people have suggested that you can do the sections in any order. This way, it should reduce the chance of there being lots of riders at one section, and none at another. It will spread them out a bit more. Also, Im not fussed about wheel size, so 24"ers feel free to enter as well.

It will be summer holiday time (Y) so hopefully most people will be home from school/college/uni ect

You should ride the Skate Park in Baiter. They have 2 quater pipes connected together and all sorts. A skate park section does sound cool, but I dont thik the council would like me closing the park down for a day :P

Thanks for the interest so far guys :P It will be sometime during the summer, but dont know any dates yet. Im trying to get it in Baiter Park, just past the main coast line of the quay side, near Baiter Skate park. It will be a bit of a mix of everything, with a section on the rocks by the coast, and other sections made from objects donated from my good friends at demolition sites and breakers yards. We are looking at stuff along the lines of: Skips Spools Cars Pallettes Tyres Oil Drums Sleepers and anything else I can lay my hands on. I will speak to people about the time limit issue, and see what people think about it (Y)

Its still in the pipeline at the moment, but I have a meeting with the Head of Poole Council, to discuss my thoughts and ideas. Anyway, This is just to test the water, and see who would be willing to come and enter. It will be in Poole somewhere, so it will be literally minutes away from the Station. Competition wise, there will be a choice of 2 routes, easy and hard, and all who enter MUST hold a current ACU, or have Parental consent (unless you're over 18), and there will be an insane fee of £3. We have decided to scrap the time limit on each section, and instead follow motorcycle trials more, and have an overall time in which to finish all sections. For every 30 seconds you go over that set time, 1 dab will be added. Thats the general jist of it, so now its down to you guys. If you are interested in attending (assuming it goes ahead) please leave your details in this thread, so I can pass them on to the council, to show what kind of interest this will generate. Also feel free to leave any comments, suggestions, even section plans. Im doing this for you guys, so tell me what you want!! Thats pretty much all for now, but I will update once I have spoken to the council. Andy

That looks pretty cool. Might have to have a gander there during half term

Theres Hut Hill, in Chandlers Ford, but thats not exactly amazing. Sandbanks (near Poole) is ok, but not stricktly natural as such, just lots of big square rocks. Other than that, and Portland like you mentioned, I cant think of anywhere else local-ish Andy
