good to hear matey! Well today was a belter. My new Nissan Micra that i bought this morning isnt in too bad nick!! Good build quality, and a great 2nd hand buy at £30 Overall, the demo was a real success. The 3 guys that came had an awesome time, the setup wasnt too bad, and the crowds were loving it. Got great responce from all the organisers, so next year is a definate. Lets aim for bigger and better on the 22nd!! Edit - and forgot to put, a MASSIVE thanks to Mitch, Dan J and Ticcy! Couldnt have done it all without you guys, so yea, top job and a big thumbs up

Ok no worries Ash

Also, the next demo is on the 22nd July. Its at the Verwood Music Fest, where Capdown are headlining, and I have 5 (yes ONLY 5) FREE tickets. So if anyone would like to see Capdown and ride trials, let me know of that one! More than 5 may attend the demo, but you will have to pay the full price to get into the gates. Its only about £10 or something which I believe which ins't terrible considering you get to see one awesome Ska band while riding trials!! Andy - Oh and a quick note, comp will be back on pending funding but more on that one later

We are doing another demo at Ferndown Carnival this time at King George V Playing fields by Ferndown Leisure Centre. Anyone who is interested in coming along, let me know. There will be all sorts there, including a beer tent. Gates open at 10am and close at 9pm Andy

Im not on about the youth side of the comitee, im talking about the adult comitee Theres stuff that needs to be sorted that a bunch of teenages/early 20's cant sort. At the moment, I am going through forming a different adult comitee who do a lot of gigs and carnivals

Unfortunately, I am going to have to cancel the NBR comp on the 6th August. I dont want to, but due to total lack of help and communication from my comitee and no funding, it cant go ahead. It ended up that I was doing everything myself and without any financial backing, forking out over £600 from my own pocket is not something I am willing to do. I am sorry to everyone who has got their hopes up about this, but these things happen. If something happens between now and the comp date, maybe it could continue, but as it stands, its too much for me to handle on my own. Andy

Had a quick browse through MBUK while I was in hellfrauds, and the only thing I saw about Shimano skewers was the recall, but didnt see anything about a lattice spring.

There was a guy near us once who built a special trailor to put his monty on, and it clipped to the back of his XC rig. Was really clever, the trailor folded away and everything. Cant remember the way the bike was mounted, but think it was similar to roof mounted bike racks.

did no one bother to read what I put a few posts back then? Quoted from the Volvo Website: To find the car, treasure hunters will have to solve a series of clues and puzzles which will be emailed on a regular basis. Those who solve the puzzles correctly will continue to get clues, which will become progessively harder. Even if participants join late they can catch up with the rest. The final clue will be emailed on July 12 and then Volvo will pick seven finalists from around the world to solve the last puzzle. In early August they will be flown to the car burial location when each finalist will compete to find the car. The first one to unearth the XC90 gets to keep it.

Shall do Ian. Should be seeing him next weekend so I shall pass the message on. Anyone going to the hampshire comp today, I will have entry forms on me, so just come find me during the day

Forgot about this thread haha! Right, I would suggest being there at 10 for a 10:30 start. Need to get everyone signed in so the earlier the better really to ensure we start on time. Sections are coming along a beaut. Have some builder friends sourcing me some stuff. The big concrete pipes we had last year, have found 6 for this year, also got sponsorship from a locators company who deal with Toyota Fork lifts, so I will leave that section to your imagination . Time is getting short, so Get them entries in guys!!

Been running mine for quite a while, and I am quite impressed with them. They have an excellent amount of bite, hold, bla bla bla Wear rate is pretty good too. Had mine now for a few months, and although I dont ride a great amount, they have not worn down a great deal. The only thing I noticed about them is they do take some bedding in, but once they are, they are sweet. Not the quietest pads around, but at least they work well

OK Sorry things have taken so long, but we have some final details. Comp is Sunday August 6th, in "The Fuzzy Bit" just off Crane Drive, Verwood, Dorset There will be food, drinks, ice creams, all the usual Jazz. A local DJ will be pumping out some tunes, along with the local radio Station 2CR-FM. Comp will start at 10:30, so please be there early to sign on, get your punch card and general briefing ect. Comp will be standard club rules for White, Blue and Red, with UCI Rules for you Yellow guys. Hopefully this will cater for a broader range of riders, as opposed to last years 2 routes. All types of bikes are welcome, even you 24ers so dont feel you will miss out. Entry will be, as last year, £10 with all profits going to Child Leukemia. Shops confirmed so far are Triton Cycles, Heatsink bikes, Bikelab and hopefully Gate Eight will be there selling an awesome range of clothing. Anyone else wanting a stall please contact me. For those of you coming from far away, let me know as I have arranged a bit of land close by that people can camp in. There are strict rules about camping there but it means you dont have to travel all the way in one hit. Please let me know in advance who requires camping, as I only have limited space. Think thats about it, so I will leave you with the ENTRY FORM My msn is in my profile, so any questions, you can always find me on there, and I will do my best to help you out. Andy and Luke

To kind of advertise our competition in the Summer, the organiser of the Verwood Carnival has asked if we would like to do a little demo (more of a ride where people just watch). Verwood incase you dont know, is in the South of England, south of Ringwood. Have a look on multimap. Anywho, anyone who would like to attend, please drop me a PM or have a chat on MSN, as I need to limit the numbers a bit, but it would be great to see some familiar faces there. I dont know yet exactly how big it will be, or what will be there, but the guy has promised us some cars and skips, and anything else he can lay his hands on. The main thing I must stress is, if you are planning on coming ect, please be on your best behaviour. I know it sounds stupid, but the carnival is being held in the same place as the comp will be, there will be lots of people, families, children and the owner of the land will be there also. I really want to set an excellent example to him, and demonstrate what a great bunch of people we are. Any problems, and he could very well terminate the whole comp, and I dont really want that to happen. I will edit this topic later once I have spoken to Adrian and sorted out what time people need to arrive, but it will be roughly 12-1pm Andy

Was just about to mention that point. I have one as well

£35 does seem quite steep to me, especially as Heatsink manages to do one for £28, which is completely machined. He also researched where there the different forces went through, so where you need strength and where you dont. Theres doesnt seem anything revolutionary about that, its just a thin steel booster..?

Lets see, who did we have as a line up for this year... Bam Margera and Ryan Dunn in a purple Lamborghini Tony Hawk and Mike Vallely in their Jeep Dirty Sanchez in their 'drift racing' Nissan Martine McCutcheon in her Range Rover Goldie Lookin Chain in their A-Team van Jodie Kidd in something (not sure on that one) Matt Schulze in his RUF Porsche, Carey Hart and 'Pink' in their Bentley, Travis Pastrana in his WRX Sti Subaru Many others as well, but thats the general headline list

*Makes note to Hire massive bouncers to put at the entrance* Im sure you are cool in real life, but can I just ask, why act such a 'tard online? Does it make you feel big and 'ard? Frankly all it does, is make out to be some immature little kid who is just out to make trouble... Its because of your kind of attitude that we dont have more of these events happening in the UK. Why should I put all my time, effort and money in for some idiot to ruin it for everyone else whos there to have a good time?

good call Edit - this can be closed now, served its purpose. All relevent details will be in the News thread
-
Cheers buddy! Knew I could rely on the sals crew haha!

For people coming a long way, you can still camp in the field, so you dont have to do it all in one day. Its not going to be an official camp site, just for people coming to help before hand, and those coming from far away. Makes your life a little easier

At the moment as it stands, looks like it will just be a traditional Sunday trial. "if" it were to go ahead as a 2 day (which is looking unlikely) there will be plenty of toilets around, and I will rent a portable shower/wash room thing for you. Like I say, with the time scale I have left it will be a one day event, but this year, there WILL be speed trials and some demos from some MotoTrials guys. Sorry for letting you guys down a bit, I know I promised it to be what NASS used to be, but sometimes these thigns have to change slightly. Dont want to be the one responsible for the council taking away the rights to use the land for events. Entry forms will be sent out some time this/next week hopefully. Like last year, available to download and I shall send packs to all the major clubs around the UK. Keep an eye out in the thread in the News section, as all the information will be in there this week if all goes to plan! Anyway sorry again, but lets make this year still bigger and better than last year!! Andy

bit further than that but not too far
