  1. One of my Alevel coursework photos. Shame about the mass of bleeching in the bottom corner. Taken with a 35mm Nikon F3 using an Ilford Black and white film
  2. That was for the world bicycle land speed record, down a volcano in Bolivia. He had no protection on whatsoever, the helmet was there for aerodynamics. Happened when the headtube sheered off the bike
  3. Do I remember some technical drawings similar in design to the Mr O from a few years back Ali? They were really good
  4. Is that an Orange Mr O?? Looks really really nice. Very jelous. Make sure you give it some serious abuse. As has been said, maybe try a longer shock, or stiffen it up a tad to stop it bottoming out. Maybe try a 5th Element shock. They are very good quality. How can you say that its not a real deal Orange?? Just because its not a brand new 222 or something, doesnt mean its not a "real deal Orange". It may be from a few years ago, but it can still cut the mustard as well as any other DH rig.
  5. Steve, its in a place called Canyons, in Creekmoor Poole. I shall show you one day, its an awesome place
  6. Now before anyone downloads this video, shock horror, its not trials! So if you arent interested, please press the "Back" button. Now for all you open minded people, here is a video of one of our local riders, Rob Webb. He used to ride for Nicolai frames in Portugal, and has recently moved back to England. Link is google video, so left click. Track is: NAS - "Message" Rob Webb promo Enjoy
  7. Oh yea, sorry Chris, I forgot. I always forget that, silly me
  8. Shes looking a kipper Chris! Need to get her back out at Romsey skate park again. Convince me not to get a Cannondale Chase and stick with trials hehe..
  9. Yea man, for that kinda price, you cant expect anything amazing, but again at that kinda price, you cant go wrong!! I would say go for it. Maybe check aorund a little bit more, maybe at Amazon and ebay, might be able to get something a little bit better, but failing that, the cam looks good.
  10. The thing is though, you dont buy a mini, because you are after a safe, sensible, practical family hatchback. Every item you have outlined, is what a parent looks at when buying a sensible car. Im sorry, but I also disagree with everything you have said. Ive seen the remains of standard minis in head on/side/rear impacts. Ive seen the remains of minis used in racing and rallying, where the level of impact is much greater than in a normal 40mph road accident. The level of distortion around the structure is not much different to a golf, a focus, a mondeo. A friend had a head on in a mini not long ago, and the shell was still intact enough for him to open to door and step out. This was at 25mph Yes some minis have drums, but I've seen a well set up pair of drums outbrake a bmw round a track. Most minis on the road these days have disks, and thats a fact. Some minis have safety cages, seats and harnesses, mine did, and a lot of people I know do as well, but Im not saying all do. Heavy steering? Getting out of a carparking space, hmm I could see where you are getting your idea from. Driving along a road at 30mph... Wouldnt really say theres any difference to the mini and my Ford Mondeo. If anything, the mini has a better feel, and you actually have some knowledge that the steering wheel is physically connected to anything. Motorway driving? 4 speed gear boxes and hard suspension. How many motorways do you know of that have are covered in lumps and bumps. I cant think of many. Most I know of are smooth, and compliment a minis suspension to a tee. They arent so soft that the whole car pitches and wallows around, and not too hard that you can feel every stone you drive over. The speed limit on the motorway is 70mph. A mini in 4th gear will cruise along at 70mph fine. You shouldnt be doing anymore than 70mph as THATS THE SPEED LIMIT. I could go on, but I dont feel I need to. At the end of the day, you may not like minis, and not feel safe in one. Stick with your Focus. For people that love the cult car, that love to have the feeling of being involved in the actual driving process, for people that want to drive something that suits their personality, why shouldn't they drive a mini?
  11. Sounding a good plan Steve, Pass over some details later on, and I shall update my stock listings and Paypal payments. Also, quickie while we are here, whats retail on the Gold backings without pads? Had a few questions about them, but I wasnt sure of the pricing. Andy
  12. No Si, the stuff in the Day light in Poole, the stuff at night is Bournemouth. They are only a couple of miles apart, so its good to spend the day in Poole, then mission it to Bournemouth in the evening when it all quietens down. Theres plenty of us around if you need a floor to crash on.
  13. Damn it Mark, you beat me to it! Well heres a link where you can download it... Rasterbator
  14. My quote with HIC miniworld insurers was £360 tpft, with 1098cc stage 1, buckets seats, harnesses, disk brakes, and 12" wheels declared. Thats with NO NCB My renewal quote, with a 1275 stage 1, all the same declared, worked out as just £210 tpft Im 20 and had my licence almost 3 years
  15. Yea go Jamie!! For a lot of people in the South, this is the best comps we have around. Im not going to drive 3-4 hours to attend a comp just because it has better rocks, so its nice to have a local series, 30-40 mins down the road.
  16. mine: Edit - I have a widescreen monitor hence the strange screen res
  17. From what I understand, the red golf had pulled out from a stop sign, the porsche tried to swerve to avoid them, but caught the side. They didnt flee the scene of the accident straight away, but called the ambulance first. I dont know 100% but its not as irresponsible as some people make out. Its not the first accident to happen involving the public, but it is the first fatality.
  18. My boss who does the Iron Man challenges is Cycling to London, running the marathon, and then cycling home again. Nut case. He will be wearing a blue and white top with "Iron Man" across the front.
  19. Hey Si "if" the mini is still here (up for sale) then I may pop down with it. Got a guy coming to see it tomorrow, so im not 100% yet, but shall let you know
  20. Steve Im loving the giant! You should come out on that when you are next in B'mouth! Looks a beasty! Suppose the Aorta looks alright as well
  21. Dan you beauty!! Those are some stunning shots. That tree tap honestly was just plain silly. Need to hook up soon somewhere new for the next photo shoot
