  1. Haha yes Im affraid to say, its another new bike.... I only have 3... As for weight, I have no idea, but its no lightweight... the frame alone is 6.8lbs, but its a park bike so who really cares. You dont notice the weight in a skate park
  2. Thought I would get myself something to mess around on in the skate parks... Pretty much standard comp spec, aside from a few upgrades Identiti P45 frame Identiti Rebate 14mm forks Halo Tornado wheelset Halo Twinrails 4Jeri 3pc cranks Shimano LX rear vee 24Seven Suicide stem Tioga Highrise bars
  3. Mine only snapped as they were pre-historic! They belonged in a museum. If you get some slightly newer ones, I can garantee you will love them. Even my old ones were super plush, and weren't tanks either. I would say if you have the chance to get some, do it!
  4. Haha Stu, it was scary brakeless and with rigids! The Z1s are 130mm, but Ive just got rid of them as they snapped. Got some Marzocchi Drop Off 100s now, and thye look sweet. As for the hub, Geisha make an MTB spacing freecoaster, so thought I would try one for a laugh.
  5. Haha, well I used to have 4, but I've just sold 2 of them as I thought 4 was greedy
  6. While Im uploading pics of my bikes, better put one up of my ID24 street/DJ/park bike. ID24 frame Marzocchi Z1s Halo Combat / SAS / geisha freecoaster 24Seven stem Atomlab bars Hope Mono trial rear disk
  7. My mate had a replica about 7 years ago, Sadly it cracked at the seat stay yoke, had it rewelded 3 times before hanging it on his wall, and its still there today! Was an amazing bike, especially back then when we all rode heavy tanks, this was like top of the line!
  8. Hmm..... tempting..... but I think I might pass on that offer
  9. Yea I'll be there on the 9th. Never miss an uplift
  10. That is sooooo nice!! Get your ass down here to Blandford and we shall go rip some trails!!
  11. I can understand how you came to that conclusion... Mostly ride at UKBikepark in Blandford. They do a lot of races ect there, plus theres an uplift. Its a really cool place to ride, loads of nice techy trails, plus some gnarly stuff too. Have a look at http://www.ukbikepark.moonfruit.com/
  12. Cheers for the replies The concrete park is Kings Park in Bournemouth, next to Bournemouth Football Stadium, and the wood park is in Christchurch. Its only small, but its got some crazy lines
  13. Well seeing as I killed the Santa Cruz Super 8 rather quickly, thought I better get something a little bit newer, so here she is: (edit, better photo) spec: (pics a bit old so some stuff has changed) Scott Octane 5th Element progressive Intense Mr Dirt upside down forks Rodi wheels Shimano Saint cranks with E-thirteen guide Avid Juicy 5s Easton Vice Stem DMR Wingbars
  14. RIP Oli. One of the funniest and most down to earth people Ive ever ridden with. You will never be forgotten mate! Prawn, make that mini show quality, so that everyone who lay eyes on it, will know and appreciate the memory of Oli, as thats what he deserves!
  15. I loved my Juicys. I was one of the first people to try one on a trials bike, and was very very impressed with its performance (well it was a 203mm and it was on a mod) but even on my stock, it was so powerful. The pad adjustment isnt just a gimick, it really does allow you to set the brake up exactly how YOU want it. Theres nothing worse than having to get used to how a brake feel, when it should be set to the riders preference. I have now gone back to a Juicy 7 again, from my Mono trial, as I prefer it so much. The lever has a nice strong feel to it, and its very responsive, with no spongeyness. I would suggest the 7 out of the whole range, but stick to the base one in 185mm. The extreme is too over engineered and silly money, and the carbon lever version lacks the confidence that the lever will put up with abuse. Go for the 7 if money will allow, however the 5 is just as powerful with the same feel, just without the apd adjustment.
  16. Haha yea that stem was a bargain of the century!! Tempted to order a few more
  17. Dave you stole my colour scheme!! We now cant ride together as our bikes will clash haha!! Looking good though, have to have a ride on a decent spec one, see if I approve of it. Might see you friday night, if you come out.
  18. Well, late shifts at work, being totally bored, what else is there to do except spray your bike...? Only to realise that Dave Marshall has done the exact same colour scheme, but oh well.. Spec as follows: Echo Pure 04 Echo Pure forks Tensile UCI cranks Echo external bearing BB Atom Lab Atomic risers Race Face Prodigy stem Avid Juicy 7 185 Magura HS33 Ritchey OCR disk wheel Chris King classic on Sunn Rynolite KHE Half link chain with custom tensioner
  19. Not truvativ, Race Face, one of his sponsors 74 Kingz Tensioner, because he couldnt find another tensioner he liked Not Orange branded, just a sticker. The Ashton frames are now made by Orange, so a sticker on his forks just to advertise Orange Edit - long hoses are as he does foot-jam Tailwhips in his demos
  20. A shot at the competition? I dont ride for or distribute Ashton bikes, so how can that be taken as a shot at the competition...? I think the reason the ET wasnt bought as quickly, is due to it being ahead of its time. Thats probably the wrong way of wording it, but it was like the first of its kind, people were possibly a bit skeptical of the idea. Now, the concept is as commonly used as 20" and 26". It has just taken some time to bloom into what it has become, and I assume Martyn wants to get back that market that was originally set when the ET came out. Anywho on subject, I believe it will be available frame only, at a competitive market value, around £250-350ish mark, AT A GUESS, dont quote me on that pricing as I honestly dont know, just making an assumption
  21. Well the Raid XR is the 24" park/jump style bike, which from what I remember, the base model starts at £275 full bike, so chances are he was probably talking about that one.
  22. The Licence, being the new 24" street bike, feels very similar to the ET24, but a bit more length to it. He was running quite a hard gearing so I couldnt give you a totally accurate description of how it rides, but its a very good blend between trials and street, unlike the Onza Zoot for example. It feels managable on the rear wheel, flicks well, and has a solid feel to it. He had twin disks on his, which felt spot on. Prices I cant confirm yet, but release date from what he was saying should be round about end of september/October kind of time, depending on various bits and bobs. I would say it is a very big contender to the other 24" street frames out there, and if it has a reasonable price tag, a strong option too.
  23. Jonny, you know I only film in 16:9 nowadays
