How To Create The Finish Alu Brushed Surface?
that NBR dude replied to N Roach's topic in Trials Chat
Agreed. Theres certain areas of a frame that you really dont want to skimp on, and the welds that hold it all together would be one of those areas. The weight you're going to save compared to how incredibly weak your risking making your frame, is not worth it. -
Fair play to the guy. Would be awesome to think I could still be able to ride at 70. Massive respect to him for giving it a go and trying to stay fit.

Yea Ben niiiice! Give me a shout on MSN and I'll let u know what export settings im using with HDV, see if it makes a difference? What wideangle are you using on that?? Im looking for one for my XH-A1 but cant find any

As long as Im not the only one baffled here...

Forgive me for possibly sounding really stupid, but where would you plan on putting these washers?? I could understand on an Avid brake where a postmount caliper fits to an IS adaptor, but hes using a Mono trial which I was under the impression didnt sit on an adaptor?? Surely putting washers would just pull the caliper sideways??

Thats the hardest bit for me. Ive never eaten a lot to start with, but with how I feel, Ive been eating virtually nothing
-
Thanks for all your support guys, means a lot to know I have some shoulders to lean on. Im trying to stay cheerful though all this, doing loads of photography and stuff. Not doing all that much riding as Im not eating a lot, so I've not got a lot of energy.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. The chances of your mate "sending the boys over" are pretty slim, as most peoples mouths are bigger than their balls. If the police have a description matching a certain car, theres not really a great deal he can do about it to contest it wasnt him. If he does try anything with his mates who've been in prison, think about who will the police side on? The people who have been convicted of crimes before, or some beaten to s**t kid...?

Because its a family thing, my moms always said if I ever feel different, its worth a check-up. Ever since this time last year, Ive not been feeling right, normally just after eating. It got to a point where I wouldn't eat, so I didnt feel unwell. That got so bad that my parents made me to to my GP who just thought I was annorexic (weighed 7 stone). I got put on like an emergency diet and shortly after that I started to feel unwell again, so I finally plucked up the courage to go to the doctors again and they sent me for a colonoscopy (a tiny camera up ur ass crack) and got the results back week before last.

Yea its a family thing with us too. My grandad died from it about 10 years ago, my moms had surgery, and unfortunately my nan (whos survived cancer 4 times) passed away from it yesterday, which is partly why I made the thread today as my heads proper messed because of it. All kind of happening at once doesnt help

Thanks dude, Yea Im almsot 22, so Im still young. Hopefully they've caught it early and all will be fine, but its still lingering on my mind
-
I know this isnt the best place to ask, but what the hey.. Ive recently been diagnosed with bowel cancer, and its like proper messed with my head and I dont know what the best way of dealing with it is. Im trying to be positive and stuff, but its hard to look on the bright side, and its just making me full on stressed to the point that the most stupid thing will set me off. I know its not the nicest thing to think about, but its all thats on my mind, and I cant concentrate on anything else. Ive had to take some time off work and stuff, to try and get my head straight, and Im finding it so difficult to do. What I wanna know is, has anyone themselves or had family members go through this kinda thing, and whats the best thing to do about it. Andy

No Nick, it was clearly down to his frame being too embarissed about having a white front tyre fitted, so it did everything it could to get rid of it...

Sir, I take my hat off to you. That is one of the nicest and most original paint jobs Ive ever seen. The attention to detail is fantastic, and I bet it was a relief to stand back and look at it afterwards. I hope you are really proud of that, as it is most definitely the best paint job Ive ever seen on a trials bike.

I'll have a chat round, see if anyones about. Might be out if its nice weather

Yea Dan, awesome. I know Dave was unsure of how it would turn out but the set-up looks real good. Shame I couldn't be there, looked like fun. How did Daves front wheel hold up??
-
haha i actually turned it on just to laugh. What is this guy on about?? haha "Here comes Ben Wallace, whats he going to do... (lands a 360 table to turn down) ... (silence)...." and aparently a 360 tailwhip is "a whip one way with a whip the other way"

Will always remember the day when he came to Poole. He was such a funny and down to earth guy, and I know he will be greatly missed by everyone. Was a part of this forum that no once could replace, and I send wishes to all his friends and family. RIP mate

Well I cant take all the credit, some is down to the camera. Still feels weird using Sony Vegas though, like 4 years of using Premier 6.5. Im happy with the quality of the vid considering its very highly compressed HD, and a reasonable file size too. The more I play around with the settings the better it will be. The colours seem really washed out in the vid. Dont know whether thats from the camera or from the export...
-
Ahh but no one cares about you Fred hehe. You will have to try and show Dave up this weekend!! Cheers for the comments guys

Well with the summer coming back round, thought it was time to start making videos again, so I invested in an upgrade camera and set off. Apologies for the poor level of this vid, but I still dont quite know what all the buttons do on the camera yet, and my old Premier 6.5 wasnt gonna play, so I am now using Sony Vegas 8.0, which feels strange to me. So errm yea, here is it, in all its crappy-ness... Rider is Dave Marshall Music is Offspring - Special Delivery Vimeo link HERE

How does he have any wrists left? That was rediculously insane! One of the craziest BMX vids Ive seen

Have a look round shops like CRC and wiggle. Im pretty sure they do an adaptor to convert 20mm to QR, as I have one that came with my old front wheel. Not sure if it was just for my hub specifically, but im almost 100% sure you can get them. Its basically an extra axel that slips inside the hub with a QR sized hole through the middle, and has 2 threaded cups either side, that screw in to fasten the axel in the middle. That was a terrible description but you get what I mean.

Yea but it looks better than "Teeth" Was actually going to see it on Wednesday but it had sold out literally as we got to the desk, damn!
