  1. Haha thats an interesting description. If you look around top-end mountainbikes and stuff, its used quite a lot and can look really nice. Its got a similar style to my Marin, so I guess I'm just used to the shapes as I see bikes of that style all the time. Its just the way frames seem to be going. Who knows, it may prove to have certain characteristics that have an advantage over standard round tubes. Early days to be able to tell, but who knows.
  2. Yep.... Whats wrong with swoopy hydroformed frame design? I think it looks new and sleek, and different
  3. Read what you quoted again dude. Daves talking about wanting hydroformed tubing on the Limey 20"
  4. I'm not 100% sure but I think they are different. I remember Scotts dad saying about him having the only one, so I'm pretty sure Waynios is different. Scotts didnt feel flexy at all, felt really rigid.
  5. Scotts already made me an agreement, that Onza are going to make one for me, and only me HAHA!! Seriously though dudes at Onza, if you're reading this, pleeeeeeeeeeease make a mod version of Scotty Wilsons bike, and I will honestly buy one. Ive never seen a nicer looking frame in my life! I reckon it would sell incredibly well.
  6. Hmm interesting. Does it not even reduce flex slighty? I've never really sat down and thought it through, but I'll try your judgement Ali, just this once
  7. It might have something to do with the fast that it makes him look like a small child having a tantrum becuase mommy wont buy him some sweets. I don't normally reply to videos without something constructive to say, but I really wasnt thrilled by that. In a lot of clips you looked really sketchy and unstable, you included clips of stuff you were blatently not going to make, and then threw your bike because of it. Sorry, but not for me. Oh and before anyone says I'm TGS bashing and all that kinda rubbish, I'm not. I'm clearly expressing my oppinion of THIS video, and not the style of which he chooses to ride.
  8. It wouldn't be a waste of material though. Someone buys some V-adaptors, then has too much flex so buys a booster as well, an all-in-one would actually be quite handy and result in less material being needed in the long run. Again the price can be slightly higher as in effect you are offering 2 products merged together. As long as it wasnt any more than someone buying Adaptors and a booster in one transaction, it could work. With careful machining to keep weight to a minimum whilst maintaining strength, who knows, could prove to be very popular. Would save the added height in running V-adaptors, then a V-brake, then a bosster on top of that.
  9. Try giving Steve a friendly email about it. Can I make a suggestion though, word it in English, unlike that post.
  10. Yep, the really ugly gold and black one, and the Base TA26 has a bashplate mount as well
  11. Welding titanium is an absolute b*****d to do, and very few people in the world have the skills or the technology required. Ti has to be welded in very specific environments under certain gases at certain pressures. The easiest thing to do if you wanted it rewelded is send it back to Russia.
  12. My old Triton's been round the block a bit haha. I think Jamie Pedrosa's has seen a few locations as well That ones looking sweet dude!! Oh and I'd suggest putting a booster on the frame mate, the flex in the rear end (being titanium) might cause it to crack without one.
  13. sooooo old, and best of the internet thread
  14. QUOTE (joe b @ Sep 12 2008, 04:02 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Most under-rated rider in the world, anyone? Couldn't agree with you more on that one
  15. Ahh now come on Dave... ..he missed the point by waaaay more than that
  16. Having had a few people ask me lately, thought I should really post in here to update everyone. Several weeks ago, I went into hospital for an opperation. I was amazed at how quick it all was, and I was in and out within 2 days. Everyone there was really friendly and talked me through what was going to happen. They've cut out a rather sizable lump of rubbish from inside me, in what was not a pleasent way (I'll let your imagination paint the picture there, but me and the doctors now have a very "special" bond), and lets say I was a tad sore for a while They cant say yet for certain whether its all 100% successful, and only time will tell really, BUT for the moment, I'm healthy. Im still quite thin-ish although I am now putting weight back on, after not eating for such a long time. Its such a nice luxury to eat and not feel awful afterwards. Its not over for me yet, as I will still have to go back to hospitals for scans and colonoscipys every 3 months for 2 years, then every 6 months for the next 2 years ect ect. To everyone that gave me advice on msn, and good wishes on here ect, I extend an extra big thank you and a hug! I couldn't have got through without all the postive comments from everyone, and it made me stronger mentally through it all! Im back to my normal self at last, which is the most relieving thing in the world... Cheers Andy
  17. Oi I'll come find you Mitch, and beat you with sticks...
  18. Well some of it was Fred, the riding from us Dorset folk anyway, not you wiltshire-ians
  19. Argh how can you tease me with a video that wont be encoded for 30 mins... You did this on purpose didnt you Ben...
  20. Well I dunno... Oh go on then, you're my hero too
  21. Hmm maybe the photos I saw were older ones, Im sure there were some a while back that had HS33 mounts. Either that or Im going insane and totally imagined seeing them
  22. From what the pictures suggest that have been floating around, yes they will. Not sure if they had a disc mount though
