Why do they take you IMEI number? What use does that have for them?

As far as Im aware thats exactly why. I dont think you can get much smaller than a 16tooth as any smaller and it wouldn't be able to thread onto the hub.

I'm not sure that dishing out warnings left right and centre is the way to go about it though. It will just get peoples backs up more because they were warned and someone else wasnt ect, and probably cause more arguments and divisions between people. I think its down to the user to take a step back, and look at the way they are coming across to others. People need to think "how will this comment be taken". If its in a sarcastic manner, read it back to yourself and see if it comes across as sarcastic or not, or use a smiley face to show that its not a serious comment. If its in a general harsh manner, think "would I like to be spoken to like this", and if the answer is no (which I'm sure it would be) dont say it. A lot of the problem is down to manners and people using the internet to hide their true identity and come across and "hard" or whatever. If people acted like themselves on here, I'm sure we'd have a lot less arguments.

It seems a lot of people have different oppinions on most brakes out there. Some people say brake X is rubbish, while other people say its the best brake they've ever had. I think a lot of it is down to the way the brake is treated, set up and looked after ect. People are all too quick to jump onto the "think brake is rubbish" bandwagon, despite not looking after their brake and taking time with it. Ive had a lot of discs in my time, including Magura Marta, Hope Mono Mini, Hope Mono Trial, Avid Juicy 3/5/7/, BB7, the list goes on... and I cant say I've ever had any real problems with any of them not working. The Marta and the Juicy 7 leaked at one point, but a quick service solved that. I think really it all depends on your budget. Get what you can afford or want to spend, and make sure you take the time to set it up correctly and bed it in properly.

Yea I've had the same thing Damon. I dont think the courts are taking any more claims from people until the court case with the banks surrounding charges has come to a conclusion. If the banks loose they'll have to pay back any charges as far as I'm aware. With the way the banks are going at the moment though, I can't see that happening anymore. We've been having a meeting about it all today (I work for Royal Bank Of Scotland) and its not looking good for a lot of banks. Our shares have dropped by 20% in the last couple of days and more banks are closing or merging. We've just lost one of our smaller divisions yesterday. But back on track, I would wait until you hear from the banks with the conclusion from the Courts. If you have requested a claim in writing, they will have to notify you of the verdict.

You have to look at it from the general publics point of view. Being a trials rider, you dont think anything of it, but if you werent a trials rider, and you sat on that bench every lunch time to eat, you wouldnt want to find tyre marks, mud, splinters from bashring marks ect there. At the end of the day, it is a form of vandalism. Its no different to someone covering a wall in graffiti. Think of it again from a general publics eye, and if you saw a bunch of kids riding bikes on your garden wall, or on a bench in your parents memory for, or a handrail outside your corner shop that you pay rent on for example, you are going to be a tad annoyed and probably call the police. All it takes is a little respect, and you will get respected in return, and treated more like an adult. Simple appologies and moving on when asked, is little to ask for and in most cases thats all the police want from you. Its not because they "hate trials riders and kids and are just out to run a dictatorship", but its their job. They get payed to uphold the law, much in the same way you get payed for your role at work.

Thats a different one. Obviously a trials rider with 2 powerful brakes but no seat, has far less control than a bmx with a seat and no brakes. As said though, you just smile, nod away then when they've gone, carry on with your usual business. Its easier than getting into an argument and portraying a bad image, and you will get far more respect in return

Welcome to the world of editing Raw HD on a PC. Unfortunately, theres very little you can do, that doesnt include opening your wallet. You have several options. The first and easiest is to buy a MAC. I know some people dont like them ect, BUT even the most basic macbook can edit HD without breaking into a sweat. Another option is to upgrade your RAM, and change whatever OS you may be running to XP. This is the option I took. I downgraded from Vista Home Premium to XP Pro, and purchases 8gb of RAM, and it can now "just" about handle it. You may also want to look into investing in Adobe Premier Pro CS3. I changed from Vegas 8.0 (had exactly the same problems as you, even after upgrading my PC) and Premier can preview raw HD fine without jumping. I appreciate none of these things are particuarly cheap options, but thus is the way with HD video. You may also want to look into what other programs you have running in the background. A simple Ctrl+Alt+Del should give you all the processes you have running. Try and close as much down as you can when editing HD. Theres not really a lot else you can do, apart from put up with it, and just keep exporting small clips when you want to see how a certain area will come out. If you want any other help, of chat about it ect, Im always on MSN and up for a natter about video editing.

Maybe but Im not too sure. Theres really not a lot of materal left there to hold the stress of being tensioned, without adding the weight of the rider on top of that. Granted it might have lasted a "bit" longer if it was new, but I can't see it being long before the same happens.

Your best bet if you have no Magura Blood, its look in halfords for Citroen Mineral Oil, closest match to magural blood. ANything else, and I would be concerned about degrading the seals LHM Plus will work fine actually as its a mineral oil

Dot 4/5 will eat your seals. The seals used in Maguras are designed for mineral oil. Don't bleed your brake with Dot, as it will leak

Bongo are we talking Xbox 360 or the older one? MotoGP is the best of the bunch I think. I tried SBK but I think it was tryng too hard to be better than MotoGP. As for freestyle motoX games, I cant actually think of any. Theres a new game coming out called "Pure" but I think thats only ATVs.

Its not an incentive for arguments though. Its a bit like being "employee of the month". Its a way of recognising those who have been on the forum a long time, contributed and generally been a helpful person all those years. The only way it would be an incentive for arguments, is the kids who are jelous because they think its something wonderful and magical and gives them special, super hero powers.

Why are some people getting so wound up over this? Its not an exclusive club, you dont get cheap cinema tickets, or a cake sent to you on your birthday. I've heard about this. I think Rich Pearson runs that and aparently is much easier to set up. I've never tried it myself as I've never had a problem with normal mounts and the plastic C ring, but talk to Rich if you want to give it a go. Think it demands some slight angle grinding though.
