  1. Urgh god no So shall we start a Trials-Foum Cheese Apreciation Society?
  2. I cant stand really strong cheeses. Mild for me baby yea! Its because I'm hardcore, you know! Edit - you're both so wrong, why would you ruin perfecly good cheese on toast. Sacrilege
  3. Smoooooooooooooooooooooth. I dont think anyone noticed
  4. Was going to say something about Pooleys hair, but then I couldn't really take the piss as he thought I was a girl when he first met me. Didnt help I had pink rims I guess...
  5. Do you reckon? I would have said they'd be bigger bearings. I didnt think the axel was that much fatter on my Saints, compared to a normal ISIS axel. Dont know really, thinking about it now. I thought the whole reason behind having the bearings externally was to allow the use of larger bearings, increasing lifespan. The RaceFace ones I had in my Scott lasted me ages, but they were about £60 Edit - I think its the same as the Shimano hollowtech tool, although being Chris King I wouldn't be suprised if it was slightly different.
  6. I just sent the video to a "Pro" BMXer, whos response was "He just 180'd up a stair set to backwards manual, then 360'd up a stair set... what the hell. That tailwhip....!!!" Doesnt sounds like this "Pro" BMXer can do any of that. Hmmm interesting
  7. Its all about making a site that people will be comfortable with sending their money to. For example, people would think twice about sending money if Tartybikes website looked like it had been designed 5 years ago, without any real thought or effort. If I search for a plumber for example, and thier website is full of clip art and looks outdated, I will move on, until I can find one that looks like I can trust them. To turn round to a potential customer and say "I'm glad we dont reply on you" strikes me as a slightly wrong approach. You should be thinking "how can we get even more business" and maybe some of the ideas coming up on here will fulfill that. At the end of the day, every business is out there to make money. It doesn't mean you still cant have fun though, but small professional touches will help people take you more seriously, boost your profits, allowing you to hold more competitions and fun days. How is that a bad thing? From the sounds of it, all it would take, its a more professional looking site, and more people will shop with you and reccomend you to their friends ect. Dont be so quick to dismiss criticism and ideas
  8. Same thing happened with PC world when they advertised a 1TB HDD for £20. I got an email a few days later saying it "was a typographical error and did I want to pay the actual price of £250" I can expect the same thing will happen here.
  9. The number of people in other forms of MTBing that run Hollowtech cranks is actually quite high. Shimano and Raceface Hollowtechs are excellent cranks and really widely used in DH, freeride, XC, pretty much everything. They are much more rigid than conventional cranks and the external BB means longer lifespans with bigger bearings. Not many trials riders use them due to them being 4/5 bolt spider configuartion, rather than our preferred method of screw-on sprockets.
  10. Read about these the other day. Should be good, however I dont know of any trials riders than run hollowtech cranks.
  11. I always thought that was just a rumour, like how supposidly driving examiners have to fail a certain amount of people a month/week. I think having targets when it comes to "upholding the law" is disgraceful, and conveys the message that its not about keeping the public safe, but more about numbers. How long have you been in the police force if you dont mind me asking? One other forum I go on has a "local bobby" as a member, and its nice to have someone in the know when it comes to certain legal proceedures and actual "facts" regarding the laws, that you can talk to if you ever have a problem.
  12. Some are from Portland Bill, the millions of rocks by the light house. The squarer ones are from some random quarry down the road that I've never been to before. Both places are equally amazing
  13. Yea that looks wicked!! Proper little street beast. Thats got FUN written all over it. Tempted to build myself up someting similar now.
  14. Well I'm going to guess that I will be the only one to reply in here, as Im probably the only one mad enough to buy one, but... Yes I would recommend one. I have a 185 front one, and its actually one of the nicest feeling discs I've had. The lever feel is totally solid, no sponge at all. The bite and hold is amazing for a brake of that price range. I'm sure some people here will disagree, but anyone whos been on my bike will tell you how suprised they were with it. Considering you can pick them up for about £60, I rate this higher than my old mono trial, and infact everything else I've owned. Take the time to set it up, and bed it in properly, and you wont be dissapointed.
  15. Ahh ok so theres got to be some justification for them to search you and take it down, not just a random stopping in the street, being told "give me your phone"
  16. If some police officer came up to me and said "I want to take down your IMEI Number", I'd be like huh.... why? Seems like a very strange thing but hey
  17. Thought it looked pretty bad when he did it. Depressing to think he can ride that well, even with a fractured ankle. Look after him Si, and get him back on his feet (pun intended)
  18. Not spoken to him in a while but a few of my mates do. I'll get one of them to give him a gentle reminder for you, and try and get his number.
  19. Thats such a refreshing attitude to see these days. Im glad there are some people who still ride for the fun factor. Do you want to adopt me and teach me motorcycle trials?
  20. Is phone theft in Singapore common? Sounds very strange, but I suppose if its a common thing, makes sense
  21. Was that entirely necessary? Swearing is never needed and your point can be made just as easily without it. Everyone complains about all the arguments on Trials-forum lately, but with comments like this, no wonder. I really dont like biting on comments like this, but you are essentially calling me something uncalled for. Some people didnt like the video and the way it was done, just like I'm sure there are videos out there that you dont like. People expressed their opinion, and the sooner people learn to accept criticism, the better this place will be. See how I constructed this whole post without the need to resort to swearing. Anyway on track, that was a nice little vid. You're getting damn good for your age, so stick at it and you will be really good, just keep a level head and have fun.
  22. I think that mentality for some people can change as you get older though. I now think "Im not sure if I can make that, and if I dont, how badly will I hurt myself". As you get older and have more responsibilities ect, injuring yourself becomes a little more serious. Time off work can affect your pay, ability to pay bills, rent and everything else. Before, it just meant a few days off school. I think eventually you get to a point where improving isnt as important as everything else.
  23. Oh yea here come the excuses... want to add any more?? The sun was in your eyes perhaps? Craig, just my poor photography skills. I wanted to try and keep some detail in everything else, so the sky kind of gets sacrifised, plus it really was that bright. Im not a fan of heavy editing, can ruin photos, so tried to keep it simple.
  24. I only knew I was going, about 10 mins before I left, so not a lot of time to phone you up, plus you never answer your phone. Cheers for the comments
