  1. Also worth taking note that a lot of the postal service is delt with by air, which is currently not working. Would you like the number of the volcano as well, so you can call that too? If I had 60+ missed calls, I'd be changing my number about now.
  2. NBarty-bikes videos....
  3. I think the biggest thing in terms of filming with DSLRs is more possibilities are opened. The oportunity to utilise different lenses is a major step forward for most low end / amatuer filmers (instead of just screwing on a fisheye adaptor) and is something I keep forgetting I can do. It will take some time, but I really want to start pushing some boundaries and trying new stuff to give a different edge to the way we make trials videos.
  4. Thanks guys, As Jonny said, theres a massive learning curve using an SLR, and it feels totally alien at the moment. I can understand why people tend to use tripods as it doesn't feel right holding a video camera like that haha! The amount of white isn't a downfall of videos on DSLRs, rather a downfall of cameras in general. Unfortunately, I haven't yet developed the skills to control the weather, so when the sky is white/grey and cloudy, its very hard not to have such issues. Most videos are very underexposed so you don't notice it as much, but when you start having the functionality to fine tune an image, I'd rather have the subject metered properly and in detail, not the backdrop. Adam, I used a Canon 50mm F1.8 for the first shot, and the rest was shot on a Tokina 10-17mm.
  5. Most people / companies that do intensive courses will only do the courses and not offer 1 / 2 hour lessons as well. I passed my test after 8 hours of lessons with an instructor and didn't do any road time with my parents, but I had been riding motorbikes for years before so had decent road knowledge.
  6. Epic face palm! I'll ring Terry later on to see if its ok if I send it off today.
  7. Except he's just realised what day in the week it is, and remembered he hasnt sent off the form
  8. Fo' Sho!! I think the increase in BB rise will be the biggest difference. It feels roughly the same length cockpit wise, just with slightly longer chainstays so a little more stable on the rear wheel. Proof will be in the pudding on Sunday, and at least I have a wicked excuse for being absolutely rubbish in the comp!
  9. Think it depends on how much they cost and how different they are from a standard plate. I remember seeing some when I was looking, that cost over £100,000. Thats just plain silly.
  10. I've recently purchased K18 UGA to go on my Ford Cougar :$
  11. No probs, I'll get some tomorrow in the day light
  12. Your totally right about the fork crown. Looks really odd haha!! Forks are next on the list to change anyway. And oi... I'm always riding when I'm in Plymouth, I never end up getting a change to film
  13. Well I've been managing to contain my bike whore-ishness for some time, but I folded and had to try something new. Not much more to say really, specs pretty simple. I havent had a chance to ride it yet, need to tweak a few bits and bobs. Obviously props to the Tarty boys for being generous enough to allow me to spend all my money there
  14. I've got a 16gb card in mine at the moment, filled with music and it supports it fine.
  15. Danny, I've got the headunit you linked too, and its a very good piece of kit. I'd highly reccomend it.
  16. Urgh Rich that was rubbish... who taught you how to ride... Looking smooth as always. I'll see you next weekend, ready to get some lines for your next video... maybe a rail ride to wheelswap
  17. Devon and Cornwall cannot have any rain left by the amount that was coming down this morning while I was driving!! Couldn't see a damn thing!
  18. I can't make it down next sunday. I'll be about in a few weeks though hopefully, want to get my ass down to Dartmoor again. 'Bird, I'll see you regardless of the weather. I shall come and pick those forks up
  19. Hey guys, if the weather is ok, I'll be out and about in plymouth on Sunday 28th. Come on down if you're bored. Andy
