  1. Is that reach measurement correct? 680 seems a bit long? Typo?
  2. Thanks for the comments guys! I can't find any information on the net about them, but I'm using a "Kombat Bucket Helmet". I got it from my LBS a few years ago. I'd say it's pretty good as far as bucket helmets go, but sometimes I wish I had an XC helmet to keep my head cool.
  3. Here's a short edit of the me riding over the last 2 months...Riding is mostly sidehop lines because I suck at anything else. Next video will see more variation...oh and the editing isn't too great because I suck at editing and Vista is a bitch to run editing software with. But overall I'm happy with it. 4. No. It's an 08 DOB Magnesium frame. Lasted for a whole year!
  5. We also found several other cracks...we found a crack at a headtube long before the seatstay are began to crack.
  6. Wow. That was amazing!!! Favourited!!!
  7. kieran is my new fav rider. Wicked video guys!!!
  8. No way, aluminum is way stiffer.
  9. I think 24" bikes are garbage...very hard to get a good setup. I didn't like mine at all. I wouldn't go V brakes with a steel frame/fork ever again, WAY too flexy, even with boosters. And I hated 24uk geometry, it feels wayyyy too short in wheelbase. The front wheel isn't too far from your forward foot...If I were to go 24" again it would be with an aluminum disc fork and a disc in the rear as well. I'd also go with longer geo, probably closer to a reset but with more bb rise.
  10. Wow, that looks sick. Could you measure the geometry for us? Reach especially!
  11. Kinda confused as to why you have two mods. Do you have any vids of you riding either one of them?
  12. You can't bunnyhop it because the bb is too f*cking high. Get something lower and shorter and you'll be set. Do keep reach in mind when choosing a frame...

    Ottawa Sesh

You look rusty on both I think you looked fine on the mod. The mod seems to look like it fits you better dimension wise. The stock looks too long for you. I'd put the Hydroxx parts on it if I were you...haha. I expected something a little longer! Only one clip of matt? haha. I might make it to ontario sometime this summer if there's another ride.
  14. You'll notice when you turn the cranks around that there will be a tight spot and a slack spot.
  15. The broken fork is a norco fork boys. You don't see much other in Canada...
  16. He should get his bones fused with Adamantium and join the X-men.
  17. This didn't discourage me from Marino bikes at all. In fact, I expected damon to break his new marino bike. Damon is just rediculously hard on bikes. I think he probably got rid of the other frame because he thought if his marino frame cracked, then he could get it welded...probably didn't expect such a break. haha. I ordered a marino frame and fork in January. The strength and workmanship was excellent for the price. I really don't think I would have been able to break my frame. But you have to understand that Damon does near 11 foot flat gaps, and gigantic drop gaps whenever he rides...he's probably harsher on a frame than any other rider out there. So now I think what damon should do is post pictures of his broken adamant/gu/zoo frames, as well as how long it took them to break. They were probabaly all less than or equal to this marino...haha. Also, damon should post any remaining footage on his marino bike if possible...
  18. Did this break start with a dent in the downtube? Seems narrower tubing might be the problem? That or damon is fat...
  19. So true! I think the flaw to this frame is that it was too long for steel tubes. Aluminum tubes are always welded together for quite a distance on trials frames...so I'd think the next one would need more gusseting.
  20. Marino's frames are a lot stronger than most of the trials frames on the market. At least this one last damon a while, he was going through adamant/gu/zoo frames in like a week...
  21. I actually burst out laughing when I saw these pictures. I think Damon is the first person to ever break a marino frame! Not surprised! Damon will break any bike!
  22. Ditch the suspension, crank, and stem. Maybe the frame too...then you've got a winner!
