  1. Wow, you must go through so many rims. Do you re-use the rear hub of yours? If you do, how many times do you think you've relaced it?
  2. I'll have an echo urban fork and avid bb7 in the front on monday...will take more pics when finished.
  3. Where would one find a scaffolding pole like that?
  4. So if I'm holding the crank in my hand now with the cog towards me, I would have to turn it clockwise to remove the cog? I took it to a bike shop and they tried to remove it counter clockwise... lol
  5. I have a short echo control and I find it very hard to bunnyhop...maybe I need to change something? Feels great on the rear wheel though!
  6. Looks more like dancing than biking IMO. Neat though.
  7. DANNY MAC IS INSANE!!! I think Danny is the next generation of Super-trialsists! LOL! One of the best street videos I've ever seen. Hats off to all the riders in this video, everything was great!
  8. alright, I need to fit a spacer in between my bash guard and my 18 t cog on my adamant cranks...I can't get it off though!!! I've tried everything, a chain whip, blow torch (not my idea), tapping gun (not sure of actual name)...what way do they unscrew? I was trying to unscrew counter clockwise? is that right? Any ideas of better ways to remove it? It would be MUCH appreciated!
  9. I added some new pics to my first post.
  10. Wow, was that Hans rey for a while?!? Mint vid.
  11. This was happening to me a bit today. Try tightening the axle/cones on your hub and that should cure it. I had to tighten my cone on my king tonight, I had to tighten it 4 turns to get it snug. No more wobble though and the hub sounds louder?
  12. I just got a dengura rear brake...installed it on my bike(smooth rim btw), tried it out it locked up, and held my weight on the rear wheel. I got a full day of riding on it, I was never let down by the braking power, it worked fine all day, nothing intensely strong. So when I got home and rode it around a bit, did a few fakie spins, and then SQUAWK! The brake pads wore in, and now they're so LOUD AND STRONG!!! The braking power is AMAZING! If the pad barely touches the rim it screams and starts to lock up! WOW! They're echo white brake pads by the way.
  13. Meta bikes! They seem to make frames, cranks, rims, hubs, prebuilt wheels, and bb's. I might have left something out... http://metabike.com/index.html
  14. LOL! Thanks for all the comments. Yeah, that fork is just temporary, just to get the bike ridable. I actually bent my fork at the dropouts a little while ago, it still works but feels odd. Good Ol' Cromoly! hahaha. I think I'll get an Echo HiFi fork next week for it... Should look ace when it's done...
  15. Brake: Cheap Shimano V arms Pads: stock pads Cable: Cheap no name cable Smooth rim Wheel size: 26" Works very well!!
  16. What's the best to use? I've heard of people using tar off roads and after a rouf has been tarred...but could I just buy tar from a department store? Is there a possibility of messing up my brakes by using road tar?
  17. I like 18:16 and 22:19 I find 22:18 is too hard, 22:20 is a tad too soft...I've never tried 18:15, but I REALLY like my 18:16 setup.
  18. Echo Control 1065 Cheap Gary fisher rigid fork Adamant Cranks and Bash Echo rear brake (that's defective and leaked all the fluid...) Chris king hub laced to black Echo 07 rear rim 18x16 gear ratio Dmr single speed tensioner 50/50 pedals This is my first trials bike! I've been riding street trials on a trek jack for a while now, finally got my trials build finished! I've done very little rear wheel stuff because the rear brake doesn't work, so I havent really had a chance to get used to it. I can really say it's much harder to bunnyhop this thing than my DJ bike was! I had a hard time hoping up a 29" wall the other day...oh well, I'll get used to it eventually. Having a rear brake might help too...lol. Oh, and by the way, I'm a Canadian! P.S. : Echo brakes only cost 25% more than Maguras in Canada... Maguras are roughly 75 GBP and Denguras are 95 GBP. LOL Edit: Added more new pics of new brake etc Even newer pics:
  19. I got one on ebay and it has a leaky cylinder...brand new and I couldnt use it for more than 2 hours. I'm out a lot of cash, but I guess I can send it back and get it fixed/or get a new one out of warrenty. But that could take ages...so I'm buying another in the meantime
  20. I heard that many of the Simtra Team riders have been having problems with their simtra frames, appearently they all snap around the maggy mounts.
  21. Can Echo brakes be bled just as easy with water? Will it mess things up because of the aluminum bits?
  22. Um, actually, the tensile has 60 and the monty has 72.
  23. Where did you read that I sold it? hah
  24. "Hi Jason, Sorry for the problem, Yes it will be covered by warranty and will be repaired or replaced completely. You will need to send it back for warranty to take place though. Do you still want green if it is being replaced? Sorry again for the inconvenience. Regards YAY! I got that message today!!! I'm getting a new one!!!
  25. Alright guys, I bought a brand new echo rear brake on ebay from australia a little while ago. I just recently got my bike up and running, and after about an hour of riding, a tone of the brake fluid leaked out of the rear cylinder on the drive side, where the brake holds the brake pad. I've lost so much fluid that the brake no longer works and the TPA adjuster at the lever somehow got kicked out of place and I can't turn it. I noticed it was leaking a bit back when I got it, but I thought that might just be because it's new. 0/5. Worst brake ever. I'm now out a tone of money, and echo probably doesn't make it easy to get the bits to fix it. Here's a pic of my new bike if anyone is interested. http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/1384076/
