  1. Why do you hate eachother in your own country? We canadians just hate americans...

    Best Ever Vid

My favourites are Dreams of Glass, Damon video 2, and Zoo video 22.
  3. So the ex police officer is moving to canada? have you moved already? Where abouts are you moving to?
  4. Thanks dave, I know what you mean now. Get a vid out of you riding the Meta soon
  5. Forgive my ignorance, but what's a lunge? is that like a gap to front wheel?
  6. I've got the same problem as you. I've got an 06 echo control with urban fork, and I'm using a 100*6 stem. I find it's a tad too low and short feeling I'm going to try a 120*20 or something similar.

    Shining On

What part of canada are you from bob? and Antoine, I thought you gave up on trials? What bike are you planning on getting? Really liked this video, he rides with the same style as me, but he's clearly much better.
  8. The echo lever blades are all sharp and crappy, get an adamant lever and be done with it.
  9. What are those diamondback trials bike like? Any good?
  10. Echo brakes arn't really that expensive...it's just a UK thing. In canada, it's cheaper to buy an echo brake then to buy a magura and get the proper mounting hardware and pads.
  11. I want to see James Barton footatge. lol
  12. Believe it or not, the walk in shop doesn't have an online site http://www.hbtrials.com/menu_en.html http://www.thetrialsinshop.com/ http://www.cycleswest.ca/ ^ I think there are a few others, but those are the main Canadian shops.
  13. I'm having the same problem as you. I used to ride a street bike and did trials on 22:17(with 175 mm cranks), or when I had my friend's echo pure beneath me, I used 22:19(170's). Now I'm on 18:16 with 170's and I find it's good for gapping and such, but it's quite terrible for pedal ups. I'm able to bunnyhop 36", but my pedal ups are only like 30". I feel like there's not enough power in the drivetrain...So I intend to get a 15 tooth on the back . I hate how restrictive an 18t cog can be...16 is too soft and 15 is a bit too hard...hmmm 15:13
  14. Yeah...Trials isn't too big in the US. I think by comparison, trials is probably more popular in Canada . I believe there's a walk in shop in Newfoundland, they carry Koxx and Deng stuff.
  15. I've had two so far. The first one I had leaked out the driveside cylinder...only lasted about an hour before it was competely dead...So, I went and bought another one And I've got the gold adamant lever on this one. Works great, good modulation and great lock up power. I'm running a smooth rim with some tar, and the stock echo pads. Works great. If you get one, get a lever that isn't one of the echo levers, because the echo levers are kind of sharp on the end, it used to bother me a lot...but the adamant ones are great...nice smooth end to them. One thing that I hate about it is that the little pin that holds the lever to the cylinder thing likes to come loose and almost fall out...I can't seem to find anything that will hold it in place either. I'll try super glue next time Overall 4.5/5.
  16. Go JAMES!!!! WOOT 4TH PLACE! James was riding a proto simtra I believe, +40, 1090. Very proud to be a Canadian!

    Bristol Clips

What gearing are you running and what length cranks? You seem to have a crap load of power!
  18. Great riding!!! I liked the tune too. I think better camera angles would have made this video a lot better...some seemed just odd or too far away. Other than that, I thought the video was amazing. Some real CLS style riding going on there!
  19. We canadians use the left side for the front brake, and right for rear. I've tried reversing them, and I can still do everything the same? It's just personal preference.
  20. My 07 Echo rim is fairly strong. Although, every time I drop off a picnic table or something like that, I notice it comes 5% or so out of tru...And the rim they shipped me wasn't very round
  21. I guess a guy from canada tested a Industry 9 hub and compared it to a Chris king rear hub, both were laced to the same rim, and were both tried on the same bike. Appearently the guy could gap consistantly 7-9 inches further with the indy 9 hub than the chris king.
