  1. I just grinded my rim with the coarse sandpaper piece for the grinder. Turned out VERY well. Brake is so loud and bitey! Shall take pics soon!
  2. I'm personally a fan of screamy music, and I HATED that song. Decent riding though.
  3. Two of my buddies have hopes, and I have a chris king. I wouldn't trade my CK for ten of theirs.
  4. It takes a lot of practice for sure...I find it's easier to learn with a brake that's on smooth rims without tar, but still has hold. Also, try pedaling if your front wheel starts to fall. This might help you for a while to get the hang of it, but don't rely on it. I learned to manual on my DJ bike. I used to pull sitting down wheelies, then reach a certain speed, and just coast without pedaling (while sitting down of course), I found I could go for well over 100 feet just coasting like that, and then when I got my trials bike (seatless, lol) I had something to go on. It's really all about finding that balance point, and knowing how to make SMALL leg pumping adjustments, and feathering the brake.
  5. There's probably a thread on how to trim Magura hoses properly, I just can't find it. Tried the search. Seems like the search engine on this site isn't very usefull....

    Beau Zoo 5

Was that the short or long Pitbul?
  7. That same thing happened when I snapped my axle.

    New Tra Hd Video

Hmmm...If you're going to make an HD vid...should make it mpeg 2 next time, makes it easier for us noobs with shitty computers to just burn to SVCD and watch on the dvd player.
  9. He probably would have had 2nd if he didn't get a flat in one of his courses...
  10. There's a lot of mis-information in this thread. James actually got 4th in the worlds, not 5th. He got 5th in the preliminaries. Likewise, he's 17 and in grade 12, and he'll be moving to europe this summer to compete on the koxx team. He'll also be riding the Hydroxx... James is a beast of a rider. Those old videos don't do him justice. Here's a more recent video with him in it... Bash at the Beach 2007
  11. It really depends on what you like and what you're riding now. If you're a decent rider, and have riden lower bb'd bikes in the past, then either would be fine. Personally I'd go with the GU Le because of the +40 bb and it's a wicked lightweight frame.
  12. Who knows? I think most of the top riders are all neck n neck right now anyway. As soon as one got a record, the next guy would beat him.
  13. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's: 1075 mm +18 mm 385 mm 71 degrees Something around that.
  14. Oh shit. lol! I've got my echo cog on adamant cranks setup like that. lmao.
  15. ? I've been running mine for about 2.5 months. Still 85% pad left. Medium grind.
  16. You have to run a spacer, otherwise the cog is right up against the bashguard, and the chain wont go on.
  17. It was pretty standard, Brand new zoo cranks, zoo bash, spacer, and echo 18t cog.
  18. He put it properly and all...rode it for about 5 hours, then when he tried to go from two wheels to rear, the cog just slipped and stripped off? Weird.
  19. Stick it in a tub of water(or oil), undo the bleed bolts, and squeeze the brake like no tomorrow!
  20. My friend Mike just put his new Zoo cranks on his bike. He rode mostly all day, and about an hour ago, the cog stripped off from the cranks. Now it just turns freely on the cranks. WTF? is there warrenty for that?
  21. I've got a king, absolutely love it. Sounds good and works even better. My friend's have Hope's, and they're good too.
  22. Use tar(in moderation) or just grind + rock pads. lol
  23. What alloy of aluminum does deng use in his frames? Most company's nowadays say this kind of information.
