  1. after I landed on the first one(I rimed it), I knew something wasn't right with the bike, so I turned, then tried to put my front wheel down on the ledge...and missed...haha. Just checked my pressure...says 9 psi. lol
  2. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....ils&id=1274 So...I bailed pretty bad, didn't seem to have enough tire pressure, really mucked me up. lol and in doing so...I did this:
  3. Hm...I know what you mean. I've found th at eating a big meal before riding really helps, gives you that extra boost. And stay hydrated as well! Whenever I have some object that seems just out of my reach, I'll stay there until I get it (sometimes 50+ attempts), so just keep at it, have fun, and don't get pissed! haha.
  4. I've got a dob frame actually...I rode it for a month without any problems, I wasn't worried about it breaking at all...but the flex bothered me, but it looks as though they fixed the problem areas for flex on the new DOB PRO frame... I'd totally give it a shot if I had one. Not everyone does huge drops and gaps and such...
  5. Echo pads are quite bad, try something like plaz or rock greens. I find rock greens are a bit better than plaz though...
  6. Try-all/King or Try-all/hope. Echo rims are too heavy.
  7. If you got the DOB 08 PRO model, you probably wouldn't have any problems.
  8. So...I got some older clips from my friends camera last night...decided it didn't deserve a full vid edit, so just threw it together, and put a little tune in. Some are me on the DOB, others are GU LE.
  9. 'nother vote for 160 with 18:13.
  10. I've now gone to 6 different places, none are able to helicoil my brake mount for me. I'm looking on ebay, and wondering if this is the proper set to go with?
  11. I've got a truvativ isis bb in the shed that's 118 mm, would it work in a GU LE frame...running gu cranks, with fixed cog? I'm going to go do some measurements, see if my ankles will hit the slaves.
  12. It's cheaper to buy locally. lol I'm in Canada, so a bb from the uk would cost an arm and a leg.
  13. It's an echo bb (as mentioned in the first post), made by First. The play is REALLY bad, like noticeable to the point where it's messing me up on the back wheel.
  14. I just found that I have a tone of play in my bb. Is there any way I can take it a part, and maybe replace a bearing or something? It's an Echo/first bb. If not, I'll have to buy something less shitty. Is there any that you people would recommend, that wont cost me an arm and a leg? Thanks! Jason
  15. That's a weird break, maybe you got a bad one? There are riders that have had theirs for like 8 months without problems? Kinda looks like a defective frame to me...warrenty? Although...you were doing some pretty huge drops and stuff...haha. If you're getting a new frame, I'd highly recommend a GU LE. I switched from a dob to a GU LE, and I absolutely LOVE the GU.
  16. DOB if you're running rear disc, Try-all if not.

    Gu Le

New fork ^pic from last week.
  18. Toxsin's feel extremely long. My brother has one, geo is far from being 'spot on'. Definitely go with the aorta.
  19. Well...It's louder without a booster, but the brake feels really spongey.
  20. I've had my GU LE 26" for about a month now, rides lovely. No real problems so far, brake seems harder to get to work well than my echo control was...love the geometry.
  21. Rock blues, med grind, good bleed, GU LE. and an Adamant booster of course... I also tried Plaz and Koxx browns. They didn't seem to work any better, the plaz were really bad...
  22. I've found that the older echo ones had some sharp edges, and weren't as comfortable. The new echo levers are alright, but there seems to be some play when you put them on a magura. My personal favorite would be the adamant or czar levers. And don't get an echo brake, they suck. Maguras are alright if you get them setup properly...
  23. I'll probably give it a go then...
  24. It's okayish, it slips a lot on the bigger moves. Seems to work better without a booster
