  1. Yeah, you're pretty much right. Depends on how hard or soft the compound is. My skate shoes have a softer compound than my Shimano MP56's, so the pedal grips far better on my skate shoe. But, my skate shoes would only last about a month of trials riding before the soles died.
  2. Whats the geometry of the leeson 609?
  3. I might be transferring to Oxford university next year for one semester. I'll either be there from September to December, or from January till the end of April. So, what I need to know is, which would be a better time weather wise for riding? I don't want to go there and have it rain alllll the time and not ever be able to ride. Thanks! Jason
  4. The soles are supposed to be softer on these shoes.
  5. Wow, those look great! I might try them after my shimano mp56 shoes die.
  6. So, the control would have a 73 degree head angle, and koxx forks are offset by 35 mm, which usually makes the head angle 1 degree sharper. So, your head angle must be around 74 degrees?!? Nice bike.
  7. How much does it weigh? It sure looks great man! Look into getting some continental tires when those ones wear out, you'll save yourself even more weight, and they're excellent tires.
  8. Great vid! Does it not seem like his fork is bent in some clips?
  9. Good vid Joey Vagina! Looking forward to riding with you in Ottawa this may!

    Grinds

If you grind at a harsh angle (70-90 degrees to the rim) and put a lot of pressure into it, you wont have to regrind as often. I used to put light/sharp grinds on (at a shallow angle) and they'd only last me a few days to a week. I put a harsh grind in my rim in September and I haven't ground since.
  11. That was great danny! Props!
  12. Attack it at a near 90 degree angle. Press hard and move in fast swipes. Be careful not to put deep spots in the rim.
  13. Does anyone know the weight of a trialtech sport 24" rim that is undrilled? The tarty website says 599 for drilled, I'd like to know what the undrilled one weighs.
  14. Right now I ride a 26" bike, but I've ordered a 24" bike
  15. Mine is identical. Edit: Measure like this:
  16. CS lengths are usually about the same?
  17. I've got a better question...has anyone taken a frame like an inspired and tried to put 26" wheels on it? haha
  18. This is how I'd do it: 175's with 18:13 170's with 18:14 165's with 18:15
  19. haha. I see what you're saying...my Z1 frame doesn't have the chainstay yokes welded at the right angle, it renders the frame with a very limited amount of tire clearence. I had the grind down the side plates so it wouldn't rub as bad... But I had 2 Z1 frames, both measured the same reach(about 673, I think my math was way off earlier, it seems I can't subtract well. So it would be a lot more than 10mm off)...you must have measured wrong.
  20. The one I will build up will look amazing. I'm excited to ride it
  21. Reach is measured from the center of the bb to the top center of the headtube. Your measurement and mine should be nearly identical, but yours is off by about 10 mm to my measurement.
  22. Those frames arn't very close to the claimed geometry. They're a bit longer. Measure yours and see what it comes out to. Mine measures 1090, 72.25, +30, 380 and 26.5" reach with a META fork.
