Learn it to your good side first, then once you have good technique and can get some decent height, it'll be much easier to learn them to your bad side. I can sidehop 44" to my good side, and I NEVER practice towards my bad side, but I know I can get about 33" consistently.
You guys should be calling it 'good' and 'bad' sides, not right and wrong. The elites are good at sidehopping to either side.
