I love my maggie did have a xtr v brake and loved that to but wasnt as good as my maggie ive got the new hs33 06 model and standard maggie pads with tar
having a ton of parts in my shed ive decided to put a rigid street bike together for some serious abuse starting with a saracen mad 04 frame and fork and trying to build it spending no more than 50 pounds ive so far found...... pair of mavic d521s front on deore rear on wtb middleburn pro trials cranks tioga 2.3 dh tires sram rear mech azonic double wall bars but everything else is needed so will update with photos when i get some progress done any other parts you think i can use and buy NEW on a budget feel free to post DONT OFFER PARTS FOR SALE I DONT WANT THEM!!! cheers maxxis26
folded a koxx tryall round a hand rail seveal times and ive now got a dx 32 undrilled i find its much more trustworthy even though it weighes more im trying a dx32 at the mo which ive drilled with 10mm holes and seems to hold and feels quite nice will drill holes bigger as time goes on
build around the frame and do it custom its the best way, then you can put the money where its needed ( rear wheel, brakes and the cranks ) i build all my bikes from scratch built my bike a couple of weeks ago
north devon has loads of natural spots and theres loads of jobs around, i could even get you a job in the pub i work at can get you some housing aranged as well if your intrested
have a look on ebay before you buy a new bike if you want something cheap take a look at the new saracen make phase they have a good range and at good prices also maybe think about building one from the frame up and buy every component seperate that way you can put the money where its needed like the rear wheel and the cranks thats how i built my bike hope i have helped
