Can somebody stick this in the stolen bikes sticky topic. Be a bit of help. I know, it is stupid. He just got a job, getting his bike sorted for the first time. Now thats gone. Any more information about getting money off the train companys for compensation??
-
My mate sam (spike) just asked me tio post up, as just after we finished riding bristol, his bike got nicked. He was on his way home on the train, and had to put his bike in one of those seperate compartments, so at chippenham station, some arse decided to take his bike. He found out when he went to get it. Bike Description White dragon planet-x zebdi MK5 Old steel forks Brand new black middleburn cranks DMR pedals Mini seat Black DX Rim, On A Black Hope (rear) Rare red goldtec prototype hub, on a f519 (front) Shimano gear shifter Koxx try-all bars. Red magura rear, old v-brake up front. So if you see anyone on this bike, sam said "Smack the bas***d off, and ride it home" He only just got this bike sorted when I gave him my old cracked zeb, to replace his 6 year old steel raleigh dirt jump bike. Also he would like to know if the train company is anyway responsible for what happened?

Well said mark. Onza Bob, I'm glad that this forum is amusing for you. I never said riding trials, on street, was a trial. A trial yes its a compition, but trials is a differnt meaning.
-
You never know. I would have thought so. Looked rather nice when I set my eyes on it. hmmm.
-
Sorry about that. Its just I can't see how he could justify street trials, as not being a part of trials. It just angered me. Sorry. (Y)
-
ONZABOB Do you even know what your talking about? I don't think you do. Trials does not have to be a compition. It never started out as a compition. I'm sure when the first nutter thought about getting over a rock, or log on a motorbike he wasn't in a compition. TRIALS IS ALL ABOUT GETTING OVER AN OBSTICLE USING YOUR BIKE. UNDERSTAND? WEATHER IT BE A ROCK, OR A WALL IT'S TRIALS. You are an idiot.

I'm glad he got found guilty. I just wish the punishment was more severe. He took a life. He at least should have most of his life taken away from him, should be banned for life. How can you let someone like that back on the road. Ohh well. I just wish I had the chance to meet DJ.

Deep stuff there Bongo. Almost as deep as your avatar. Anyway I can understand your point. It does sounds like a legal case. Just because he may not perform to his max. I'm sure he could put on an amazing show. Theres too much politics in trials these days. I remember all I used to worry about was the weight of my bike. Far to complicated now though. If I were koxx I'd let TRA ride. He is very eager. I can see gilles not turning up though. Didnt he do that last year?

That site is ace. I wish I'd seen it earlier. Top site. Really good pictures on there. I just wish my site could be as good as yours.
-
Really good work there. I'd love to do something similar myself.

I switched from a Hope Mini to a avid SD7. I liked the V-Brake much more than the disk, it just generally felt better. Plus when it started to rain and the brake got wet, it would lock up even more than in the dry, which I was pritty amazed at. I would still be running the V-Brake if my bike hadn't got nicked.
-
Good point. I still think that they should pay for him to come over. I think without him, norco really wouldn't have made much succses in their trials frames. Roll on the Bike Show thats what I say. I'll probabbly be going up on my lonesome.

I found that running a wider rim did help with grip, balancing and just generally better for riding. Exept there seems to be alot of flex with wide rims. Has anybody else found that?

FEEL FREE TO CLICK HERE ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ A few random things on e-bay. I'll look for some more for you now. EDIT: Just found THIS SITE CLICK ME. Thats quite good, all in the U.K too.

It would be a hard descision. I would rather live. I'm sure that the new way of life would be hard. I reckon after a while you would get used to most of it. You may even walk again, remember superman. Yeah I know he died but that wasn't anything to do with his paralyis. I think.

I know you ain't looking for an argument, but I want to ask a question. Have you actually rode with ashton latly? Have you seen some of the stuff he can chuck down in porthcawl? Some of the thigns I seen him do a few weeks ago made my jaw drop. He's still improving. Even though all those top compition riders are amazing, you still have to mix it up with some street style. Calling street trials BMX, whats that all about I can never actually understand that. Why don't we start calling BMXers trials riders for including trials moves into their riding?
-
 If you had read the thread TRA said he can't afford it. So I guess if he can't afford it that also means his sponsors arn't paying for him. Which I think is stupid of Koxx as there will be a huge number of potentiall trials riders who will be looking at what the best riders will be riding. EDIT: TRA himself beat me to it. Meh.

The commentator was the worst ever. I thought it was really unfair him putting hawyes off his run. I hope I never here him commentate again. Chirs Ratcliffe would be good.
-
Funnily enough we were running out of time too. Just like everyone else. No its not sam, but a mate of his. It did come across that you indeed were stuck up, and theres no way that you didn't realised you had pushed in as well you'd have to be blind to miss the queue.
-
Mr Koxx sir. You confuse me. I love you too.
-
I If was invited I would ride, not saying it would be impressive though. I'm not saying he's a poor rider. He gets results. I'm just saying he's stuck up and I don't like him. Someone with his skills deserves to ride the bike show, but someone with his attitude towards other riders dosn't. There was a queue of around 7-10 people waiting for a section at the porthcawl comp. Me and my mate sam were in the front, he pushed right into the front with his mate out of nowhere. Acting as if we were dirt he was walking over. Edd Tounge was hardly impressing at the bike show last year, could he actually be bothered? Useless?

So when we say we'll biff you one over here. If we said it in sweeden we'd be saying we'll steak you one. Result. I'll edit once the vids dooownloaed. EDIT: I really liked that vid. As janson said you can see progression throughout. He's a good rider.(Y)(Y):-
