  1. Is yours 24" If so what chain, and chainrings are you running. I'm quite tempted at trying this, ther'd be less in the way.
  2. Sometimes when your trying to work yourself to your limit it isn't lack of sleep, diet at all. Obviosly that helps a hell of alot. I'm sure everyone will agree most of it is mental. I think I only really realised this about 5 months ago whilst pedaling uphill on my downhill bike. Got halfway up and started thinking, "I'm aching now, I'm going to push" but instead I pushed through that barrier and pushed into the burn which I had never really done before because my mind never let me. The best way I can put this into trials perspective is say your going for a big up, just size it up in your head and then swear alot in your mind, for example "I'm gonna nail this f***in* thing, come on you lump of s***" Just force yourself that little extra, theres always something lurking in you. Waiting to burst out, its all about harnessing it. Which I think, takes alot of work.
  3. The smaller the chain ring, the more likely the chain is to snap. I quite sure its down to the fact that the smaller chain ring you run, the more torque you get. As long as your running a decent chain, thats been joined togheter properlly, it should be fine. If your on singlespeed try running a BMX KMC kool if it will fit between the chainring and bash, I'm not sure of this. If not that you could mill it down and run the chain, or go for the other kool which is slightly thinner (but weaker). Personally I'd go for milling down the origanal bashguard. So you will be able to fit a wide KMC and be able to change the chainrings without having to replace the whole thing all the time.
  4. I'd say 12-14 is a good time to start. I started at 14 and now i'm 19. Just like joe, scary 20 next effffff.
  5. While we're on the topi of the wheel area, has anyone tried substatuing air for wall paper paste in their tubes. Just a thought of course........
  6. Considering once, at around 3.00pm i ordered a bike part off wiggle. Got to my shop before 8.30 am next day. from ireland. It don't take much.
  7. What happened to the guy who orginally owned it. Can't rmember his name now. Thats shit really, thats what makes a company like middleburn stand out. Who bought it out?
  8. Hope you get back by next year then. We're planning a road trip type thing. Camping near tenby. Well west and up a bit, if your interested. Be sometime in spring. Maybe marchish. Ride porthcawl first half of the day, then tenby until late. Then camp, ride carmarthen, haverfordwest, and some other random places.
  9. Got clive leeson to do mine. Top job, good quailty, can't fault it.
  10. All I can say is, try and work your guts off in college. Come up trumps and find a good job. You can get a flat through the council now for around £3 a week. Especially if your in college they should be able to back you up. Phone them up, explain the situation and how you want to further your education but won't be able to if you loose a roof under your head. They do make special allowances. My mate was jobless for two years and was put up in a 2 bedroom flat for the duration, payed for by the council. Got his dole, went to college and could afford bits and bobs for his bike. Phone them up, Now.
  11. If you can do it, it would help going to visit as often as you can for as long as you can. That way theres more chance of her, well taking you back. Maybe. Just an idea.
  12. Well done mate. Glad to here you made it, hope its been an entertaining journey.
  13. Yokos all the way. I don't think i'm going to buy anything else once my nangkangs wear out. Just rememeber the better the tyre, the better you'll brake. More grip to stop.
  14. My mate coady, took that a few years back.
  15. Nice one mate. You stupid f**king retard, what the f**k is the point in saying things like that. Do you get some kind of f**king kick out of it. Funny as f**k you twat.
  16. Now if that wasn't a giveaway to anything. I'm guessing you'll be either getting one or riding the proto. Arse.
  17. Think mine was about 26lbs. Kings galore, steel frame (leeson). Which I've cracked got to get that fixed. i've been slowly leaving trials behind more and more. So its time I got off my arse.
  18. Alright. My gf nan lives in hilperton and I go down there now and then. Did take my triasl bike last weekend as I was eying up the kids park there. But my bolt snapped in my rear wheel. Gutted. Add me to msn, trialslife@hotmail.com I'll let you know when I'm down there.
  19. Or just learn to set your brakes up proper. Spend a good out lining up the pads, bleeding, cleaning and anything else you can think of. That makes the most difference.
  20. My dad used to have a corvette. Sold it beacause there wasn't enough room for me. Barstool.
  21. Check the brake lines for any bulges. They usually mean the inner line is letting fluid into the gap between outer and inner hose. Causing the brake to stick and cook.
  22. Thank god the whole world dosn't think like you. We'd be f**ked.
  23. Well you don't have to sell them, just push em off a cliff maybe. Find a lake, or a fire.
