Dam, theres me thinking I'd found another bike Trials rider in caerphilly. Damit.

So your saying go for a Diamondback, because Sam Pilgrim rides for them? As far as I know Sam isn't sponsored for Diamondback for his trials riding skills, if hbe has any. More his park/dirt skills. Also, quoting Deano saying to edit the last bit of his post, whos gives a toss? He constructed a decent post there, worthy of validation.

Same as what Mark said, it was more of a hobby to him. Yes it is a shame to see a trials buisness go down the pan, as other companys get the monopoly and prices can rise. Although, it is the end of a badly run company. Fair play to Dan, he did have a bash at running it but he wasn't up to the challenge. Wouldn't suprise me if all the negativity has been hyped up, after all we do know that people will jump up and shout negative comments but seldom shout praise. I think what might of helped him would have been to own up to things sooner than he did, maybe be more active on here aswell answering peoples woes (bearing in mind I'm not here 100% of the time, so he may have done this anyway). Maybe now trials UK is out of the picture, another shop will open and take its place in the market. Who knows.

What Is Handy Or Helps You Along With Your Bike?

My bag, jam and cheese sarnies and some go go juice............. -
Its down to preference, I would prefer the chainstays on a bike to be slightly shorter. It feels better for me when I'm getting up stuff. Balancing on the back wheel dosn't bother me, I'm fine with that. Not sure why, but I've always found it easier to turn with shorter chainstays. Yet again, down to preference. You've just got to find a frame that suits your style and preference at the end of the day, the older echos suit me down to the ground. If the chainstay was something around 360, then I would start getting woried about it exiting out of the trials geometry catogery.

Sounds a bit harsh, hope you get it back. Was he really an "old friend" or just someone you know, as most of my old friends would never do that to me. Sounds a bit odd thats all.

Both looking getto as hell, but both of you are selling them..........pah. Mines not getto in this pic, but its a bit more battered looking now.

Hope Mini Issues - Not As Good As It Should Be

What he said. Or you could lightly file down the pads to remove any contamination. How old is the brake and when was it last bled? Might have some air in the system. -
Everyone shut your cake holes. Happy Belated Birthday I'd like to be 16 again.....

I think what monkeysaredbomb@hotmail.co is trying to say is that when they design a trials bike they try to make it as universal as possible to suit a range of people, rather than sell a bike that is tailored to one person.
-
Might aswell take some spokes out and drill his flanges whilst he's at it then?
-
I'm not sure what that is either, but you can't say that its no different from any other rim. Materials, thicknesses, design? The monty is already a light rim, for all you know that could be a rim that orignally weighed in at 700g and may just about take what has been done to it (poor thing). We're talking about a 420gram rim, which is already bloody light.
-
If you mean this rim CLICKY I'd say its bloody light anyway. Compared to most of the rims on tartys site, I think it may be the lightest. The problem you may get in cutting (not drilling) the squares bigger is cracks on the corners of the squares. By the looks of it, theres a radius on each corner, instead of a 90 degree angle not 100% on that though. If you cut it, and don't have a rad there, it is a weak point and may crack. Due to the already low weight of the rim and the shape of the holes I wouldn't advise removing any more material. Its your choice at the end of the day though.

I think the train conductors are going to have proper shit fits this weekend. They get hacked off when one bike gets on "Hurry it up, your making the train late". Outstanding. I'm sure some people will enjoy watching 16 stone of shit rolling about on a 24" leeson on the day, if you don't enjoy it, i'm sorry. -
Yes, thats 400grams more material, which equals a stiffer frame if that 400grams is put in the right places. To be honest, I think the GU is meant to be a lightweight alternative to other frames in their range, also note that the GU has a curved downtube, possibly for clearence which will reduce stiffness. I'm not really up on all the different frames availble for trials these days, but I'm guessing the control is more for street/natural, whilst the GU is aimed more at natural and dare I say it "TGS".
