Grease ionside the pedal bearing race. place the bearings inside. put pedal over axle. nowput on outer bearing cone. screw onto axle , then out on washer then finally the nut. cram a screwdriver down tehre to hold the cone, and tighten up the nut with a 13mm socket any more problems and ill come and help
  2. Seems about right....Single are definitely a LOT more grippy though
  3. Erm, this is a biketrials forum...not mototrials....so we can;t really help im afraid, sorry
  4. 18 back, 20 something front
  5. An isis bottom bracket axle fits in the mono trials bore cap...i made my own tool out of a bit of aluminium though basically a massive slightly rounded screwdriver that clamps into a vice
  6. yep, i think he was getting confuzzled by the wording....as the ratchet ring that the pawls engage into is glued into the hub shell apparently
  7. Nope, aluminium....still not sure between 6061 and 7005, depends on availability and weld ability really. Outdated now i reckon, i personally wouldn't consider using steel...far too heavy when compared with modern trials frames.
  8. Erm, id recommend a try-all rim personally.... standard spokes off tarty are more than adequate, use the dtswiss calculator or ask tarty
  9. So you'v ignored the advice of the forum saying a deng freehub new is a VERY bad idea...so want to now buy one second hand?!
  10. Basically they're an ace rim if you take the time to drill them they hold a grind approximately the same as an echo 07, the best grinding rims so far in my opinion......and if you want a fairly narrow rim theyre ideal
  11. Some of the rotational energy from the wheel spinning on a magura must be dissipated in the loud HONK! ,surely?
  12. That sounds like shite...im sorry, but that just seems impossible. I ran a tensile for about 18months, 1 skip.... If he IS breaking them.....then i suggest he should just jump a little before kicking? Adamnant don't make freewheels, it must have been an echo freewheel rebranded for some reason? no...it really isn't, you will eat shit if you've destroyed 4 of the most reliable freewheels in the world. How hard can you kick?! you must cane the hell out of them.... didn't realise anyone had killed an echo tr, let alone 3?! Also, how is your bb/cranks/chain surviving if youre raping the freewheels so fast? You should consider a career as a freewheel tester at that rate...
  13. Quite like that.....those frames ride fairly well with a decent spec
  14. get a decent freewheel then...some of the harshest riders around use front freewheel. Get a decent tensile and never look back ( unless you get a king like me )
  15. I say import a second hand bike and save a huge amount...
  16. fek that..... Coust cnc on a light grind...no difference in the rain comapred to dry held me up a 40" tap in a downpour so can't be bad
  17. If you made the flange larger then it might be feasible....isn't there a hope hub with a carbon fibre centre?
  18. Why would you want to? Avid do a 140mm i think.....
  19. Frame looks siiiiik, definitely one of the nicest stocks around
  20. Righto, that old time of the year when its about time to start organising the epicness that is the plymouth xmas eve ride As many people as possible should come, even if you're thinking about starting, or have just started etc Anywyas....hope to see a good lot of you there.... Put your name below if you wouldn't mind Alex Dark
  21. Would be a great help to me if as many people as possible could take part in the above poll, as it's a fairly large part of my National Diploma product research. For updates on how the project is going, please check my other thread. As always all comments and suggestions are more than welcome. Thanks, Alex
