  1. Seen try-all crack, Tensile snap ( both types ) monty cranks cracked.....strongest out there appear to be Echo CNC WI freewheels are notorious for stripping freewheel threads due to their slightly oversized threads.
  2. Still be weak as buggery if not heat treated...although still worth doing I guess
  3. Work fine, fairly decent engagements......if youre on a budget or beginner then not a bad choice. I ran one for about 9 months? Still got it and works perrfick
  4. Comps Birds and Rips I' d ride right now
  5. Doesn't really matter...Magura, Vee or Disc they can all work damn well if set-up and maintained Erm, yeh a normal 2 / 4 bolt booster will fit on there if the brake spacing will allow ( are the clamps too close together? measure the distance between the 2 top bolts ) IF they are really close you may have to just use 1 / 2 of the normal Evo boosters.
  6. Mr EVO 2 just proved Hynes is a nooblet Nah, they work okay but be prepared to have to change to a vee / new frame with 4 bolts when you go big..... Mine started slipping after a while.
  7. If so you're pretty much the first person to break a pair...
  8. 118 x 68 I reckon should be fine....73mm will go with a spacer
  9. Why Are You Using Caps All The Time? Erm.....try amazon maybe? Surely you have a local Halfords nearish to you?
  10. [ i think Joe Seddon runs one of these.....if so his is pretty damned good, didn't slip all day on a slightly damp Dartmoor
  11. New blue front rim, decent vee booster and some higher rise bars and that will be perfect in my eyes.
  12. That won't fit I dont think...you may be able to get/make an adaptor to get it up to 200 though?
  13. dude, its not rocket science...if it doesnt reach, reduce the radius and bring the caliper in towards the rotor. Set the inner pad so its as near to rubbing as possible, and the outer so it makes the lever feel noice Sorted
  14. The Black / Silver Limey had issues with the top-tube cracking where the hose routing was. This has been remedied with a thicker top-tube
  15. Ride truro you poof... Jakes off, broken toe....I told you I'll be out in a week or so
  16. Background looks gorgeous, and the bike looks pretty swish too

    Kmc Fail

Fek off...as if some dust is going to make it more likely to snap? must be on the quick link, as the link is far thicker than the others.....
  18. The Limey 3's ride brilliantly.....
  19. *Which model The spring makes no difference to the sealing of the brake... Some flexible rubber to hold the hosing and mole grips can be used, although it is a hell of a job.
  20. You've done fine dude I wouldn;t use them personally...seen 2 die now, stay clear is my advice. Tensile 60 click, Echo SL are both great value and performance freewheels Never need anything more.
  21. In what way are they shocking? Brilliant budget bikes, both of them....the rip rides extremely well considering just how cheap they are.
  22. Mine's second hand and very well used on a pair of Echo CNC cranks and it works just dandy No complaints here....
