  1. Trialtech are probably the strongest out there at the moment....I have the Viz which are virtually identical and rate them highly. I know of a couple of people that have cracked the TT at the disc mount though. The stems look pretty good, I haven't heard anything bad about them....they seem pretty hench. I've heard of a few people killing those mounts so I'd say go echo tr, echo elitis or old echo cnc mounts. All I've seen working and performing well
  2. Riding was awesome, loved the intro too, lush editing. Little more "typical" trials riding and it'd have been perfect
  3. So the gauntlet has been laid down...maybe I9 should send a hub to a professional trials rider to give it the going over? See if it really is all that Rup'y claims it to be
  4. Cassette lockring tool...no you cant really get it off unless you want to grind it off.
  5. Basically heading up to Kent for a few days...im staying in Faversham so if anyone could show me some spots around there or within a short train ride that would be ace. I've heard Herne Bay is fairly good? Cheers, add me to msn to discuss Link to original topic here
  6. Nobody want to show me around? Or at least give me a vague idea of where's good to go?
  7. Anyone else fancy it? Or could tell me where to go from the station to find some good spots?
  8. Unbolt the lever with the aid of a 3mm allen key and 8mm spanner Pop the circlip out with some circlip pliers, spin the pin out from the lever with a 2mm allen key.
  9. The Sl hub isn't much different to the TR....The TRs are damn good for the money, but the rockmans just look better designed I reckon.
  10. Second hand without a seconds hesitation...for that money it's by far your best bet. If stock, i'd say something like an Echo Control, Zoo pitbull , T-rex etc...just something that's low-mid BB and a reasonable length. You should be looking for a rear Pro2 free-hub, or a good fron freewheel set-up. All major parts should be aluminium, and most branded. If you're considering going mod then I'd say straight away to look at an Onza t-pro. Loved by most people on this forum for their low weight, good strength and great flicky yet controllable geometry. This would be easy to pick-up a fairly decent spec for the £250 mark, certainly far easier than a stock.
  11. Erm....Echo team mod? Im assuming you'll want something around 1015-1030 ( the Zona's are on the long side of 1040 usually )
  12. Echo TR or Trialtech half-ring I reckons
  13. The Hi-Fi are the same as the team, with a massive great CNC'd crown. I think they weigh in at around 1.1kgs? The control are completely different, with no cnc'd lump on them, they're more similar to phase or Koxx forks in their shape. They're around 850gr.
  14. Music was spot-on...and the line at 3mins was mint Extremely nice style too....
  15. In what way is that dodgy? Just some heatsink Vee-daptors Odd set-up...mix of some pretty heavy parts and some very lightweight. Looks good though

    Schwalbe!?

Rich Pearson had a Big betty and that was pretty damn good, if a little thin on the sidewall. The grip seemed to be around that of an ST maxxis I think, but slightly less than a Conti in black chilli
  17. Front freewheel or rear freehub...either will work with the right set-up. Rear freewheel is only a good idea if you're on a really tight budget I think
  18. From having a bash on one or two inspireds...and using my zoot for a while I'd say don't do it.... they're very cramped, and I found it pretty hard to get anywhere near the level of riding I could attain on my Koxx But that's just my experience.....I'm sure Ali C will be in here shortly to tell you how versatile a frame the Inspired is.
  19. Supposedly they're a right b*****d to fit too.....no noticeable improvement in performance to warrant their fitting. A braided hose would be far more effective to stop crossovers dying
  20. My bad.. I don't ride mod, just going off what was said on OTN
  21. The zoot and urban aren't massively different Geo wise....I'd personally stick with it or go for something with a reasonable difference ride wise if it were me
  22. Guy on OTN posted some pics up of a new try-all mod tyre....around 300g lighter than the previous one - so now around the eagle claw weight. Apparently they're working on a stock one too Actual topic
  23. What do you want though? Fixed or freehub? If it were me I'd go for the Rockman BUB or a king if freehub
