  1. Hm They're not that weak now I don't think...and U6 frames were invariably composed of just one U6 Treated tube anyway.
  2. Looks awesome man hope you like it as much as i did mine
  3. 125 x 25 tarty/try-all stem seems to be the weapon of choice for most stocks between +30-60 nowadays..... certainly far shorter than the old highest echo stock stem.
  4. Why dont you take it off and try it? The frame may well crack without though....a la Echo pure 07 etc
  5. definitely...strong 2 bolt booster should sort you, if they're really being a pain I guess you could toe the pads in? Would lower performance and increase pad wear conversely..
  6. Looks sick dude, what's the quality like on the frame? Does it feel cramped? Any idea of the reach? How flexy is it....booster needed?
  7. Nerp, the Echo uses IRB ( integrated race bearings ) alowing for larger ad thus stronger ball bearings to be used. I use an FSA Platinum and it seems fairly good.....if i was to get another one it'd be the Superstar Components IRB one though.....similar to echo.
  8. Saw these on CRC, anyone know if theyre any good? linky
  9. Tensile Ace has served me well....
  10. My first bike I tried converting into a trials bike......memories
  11. ow....1.8kg lighter than my Coust Strip those pedals....spoil it, hows the tyre combo?
  12. lovely frames those...but it will crack again there I'm afraid Make the most of it dude, they ride lush.
  13. DO NOT WELD IT....you will lose all the tempering around the brake mount
  14. Yeee so basically changed forks to run a disc...problem is the rotor rubs horrendously on the CPS bolts and the inside of the caliper (nearside) are there any known issues about the urban forks with a king hub? Tried two different adaptors..and the same woes ensued. Im assuming the Echo forks just have a mount thats welded on a smidge too far towards the hub...so i guess my only option is to mill down the adaptor to bring both caliper and bolts slightly toward the outside of the fork leg...anyone else have any good ideas? PS tried washer on the axle of the hub, but even with a decent sized 1mm it wont quite clear.
  15. I think most people use them
  16. Viz pro 720 bars for sure.....so much nicer than most bars ive tried....monty 221ti's are very similar, and Try-all carbons are that bit nicer feeling
  17. If you chop and re-weld...the frame will be around 20% of the original strength ( if it doesnt get later heat - treated / tempered )
  18. Probably....the coust brothers ran those fournales carbon forks did they not?
  19. Massive amounts of work being done at the moment to try and catch up.... Started the booster thingy for my actual project and the router decided to shit itself and snap the part that holds the tooling :\ hopefully will be fixed by the start of next week ( eg tomorrow ) otherwise im in very dire stratts regarding my actual project. To everyone that definitely wanted a booster etc it shoudl still go ahead, but consider it on pause...and to the guy that sent me dolla, if you want a full refun ill be only too happy to oblige. Had no intentions of messing around, as this has REALLY put me in the shit as well.... Hopefully everything will be sorted soon, but i though i should at least update people Regards, Alex
  20. Mate of mine rides a Z1...damned nice frame, I really want a Bionic B5r
  21. Sorted all received....i will process tomorrow and dispatch asap. Alex
