Just sounds as if its really buckled.... the pads are hitting the rim and not the tyre? If theyre hitting the tyre could be a flatspot in the rim...if rim then it needs truing. Is the wheel/rim lose when you try and move it side to side with your hands?

Theres a massive difference of Geo's in their range...so i think its fairly unlikely that they all ride horribly Pretty broad statement there....and echo aren't the be all and end all, Iwouldnt have said the lite would be much stronger than an Akali anwyway... Depends on the freewheel and hub...but typically a hub will outlast a FFW. In my experience FFWs are more reliable though, and a lot cheaper to replace. For a stock like the Zoo pitbull 18:15 or 18:16 should be perfect, the hub spacing should be 135mm Freehubs like the Chris kIng are very good, as is the hope pro2 trials if you dont mind low engagements. I wouldn't trust any form of Deng freehub though
