  1. Bugger, sorry to hear you won't be out Adam! Ride in the near future hopefully once the weather nears normality.
  2. yup, the GU and adamant are near identical geometry, but I hate the ride of the adamant more than the GU for some reason?
  3. Syked for tomorrow, anti-freeze bleeds are a-go! Sorted
  4. Bugger heard about this in your video thread, and felt really gutted for you! Hope you make a speedy recovery mate
  5. BB7's snap....Hope's get contaminated easily . Take your pick, that's my personal experience with both ( hence the front magura used now )

  7. Ah you should have come up and yelled at me You coming down any time soon? haha, i really should chop them, looks so messy Only realise when youre staring at a high res photo though Ahhh she's a good lass though Cheers Matt, you still need to come down and have a bash on it Probably competition I guess....Giaco placed pretty highly on one in 08 I think. In all fairness I ride pretty much all TGS on it, so it'd be fair you saying that dude edit: just realised how ridiculously huge these pictures are...can somebody help scale them?
  8. I drilled mine out on a pre-07 bore cap. works fine.
  9. Sounds like it would take forever...... wait till you can grind it properly. You're fairly guaranteed that that wee dremel disc will shatter i would have thought
  10. Sorry Joe, direct link to an imagshack picture. Didn't mean them to be quite so colossal. Cheers bey
  11. Sure the backs got some kinda dimple on it?
  12. "Adding or subtracting a link in the chain will move the axle 1/2". Changing either sprocket size by one tooth is the equivalent of moving the axle 1/8" (4 mm). Thus, if I wanted a 5.75 gain ratio (75" / 6 meter gear), I might first try a 42/15, this gives a gain ratio of 5.77 (75.6" / 6.05 m gear). If the chain was too loose, I could take up 1/8" (4 mm) of axle movement by replacing the 42 with a 43. This 43/15 combination would raise my gain ratio to 5.91 (77.4" / 6.19 m). Alternately, I could get the same axle position with a 42/16 --5.41 (70.9" / 5.67 m). If I was not happy with these choices, I could add a link to the chain and switch to a 45/17 --5.45 (71.5" / 5.72 m) If I added two links to the chain, I could get the same axle position with a 48/18 --5.49 (72.0" / 5.76 m)" Might help someone
  13. Echo, full TR brake I think? Dunno why the slaves are different front to back though
  14. yeh man well under If I ever get one of those onza comp stocks, and a new rear tyre It'll be safely under 9. haha thats jake for you, leave it for 2 minutes!
  15. Damned light for having the tank tyres and rims on! Sub 8 should be easily possible with h0le rims and lite tyres Looks very smart though, and a steal really.

  17. So, thought I'd post some pictures up of the coustellier that I'm riding at the moment, I've done a bit of work recently to it, with the custom bash and tweaked front hub Front magura, matching clamps.... Maguras I refurbished and resprayed recently, really pleased with the finish. Front rim was also white Custom 'burns bash Front of the steed Rear brake setup...real cousts Front hub Specification: Koxx Coustellier V2 frame, at the moment: 1108, 382, +40, 71.5, 680mm reach ( massive! ) Try-all nuc forged stem ( 125x25 , but actually 117 x 25 ) Viz pro 720 bars Tensile ace headset Trialtech magura only forks Front Wheel: Kenda small block eight, maxxis standard tube, Try-all h0le rim, sapim double butted spokes, onza pro series hub ( machined out internally, with a cnc lathed 6082 t6 axle, and Echo tr-esque spacers and axle washers. Ended up saving 60gr I think, but it was out of necessity as I had to learn to use the CNC lathe at work anyway ) Rear wheel: Echo 07 front rim, square holed and with 128 holes around the spoke nipples in the inner wall (15gr heavier than a try-all H0le! ) , DT swiss plain gauge spokes, Chris King classic, Surly cog, homemade spacer kit and Alloy lockring, Continental Der Kaiser tyre, maxxis superlight tube. Middle burn RS7 arms, what was once a 22t superpro bash, custom lathed and milled to take a drilled 18t cassette cog. Lighter than a TNN steel bash FSA platinum pro BB KMC kool chain ( changed to a K610HX now ) Spokey tensioner Rear magura HS33 quicksilver, Echo TR clamps, Milled down RB lever, real coust pads in plastic, light grind. Rear magura HS33 quicksilver, Echo CNC clamps, milled down RB lever, Heatsink cousts in CNC, light grind Full bike weight as it stands is a smidge over 9.4Kgs Really tempted to try a lighter tyre on the back, despite having a spare Rain King. Going to put some Alloy bolts on the magura, new rear rim is on it's way to me too
