  1. Chances are youll be able to find a car that you can tow away for £50 odd
  2. SOunds like something contaminating your braking surface, after an hour or so this wears off. Try moving the bike out of the basement and see if the same occurs?
  3. When you ride stock theres not that many to choose from.... 2 of the 3 most popular trials rear tyres are made specifically for DH and FR anyway.
  4. really good! Probably the most chilled out sidehop style I've ever seen
  5. SOunds like the chavvy stuck up ones are part ape too? It's pretty pointless in my opinion ; but you never know. They're just component brands... im actually really suprised you didn't know that
  6. childish much? childish much? Sweeeet pictures though, that sidehop is massive Iolo!
  7. Get an 06 Python haha nah 320 should be fine mate
  8. Little bit gutted for you Liam... im sure youll sort something out
  9. Hi guys! Taken me ages to get the first video done on the Zhi, but here it is. Probably the first video ive actually done a sidehop in?! I hope you lot enjoy it anyway... Any comments on the editing or riding are more than welcome Cheers, Alex
  10. Easiest way if you can is to chuck some stem spacers underneath to boost it up...see if that cures your problem
  11. I completely agree with Le above, on a mod a disc feels fine, but on a stock It does seem to take a while for the spokes to take up the strain so you get a little delay.
  12. Bit of a bugger that Rich's car died and we couldn't make it Next time hopefully.
  13. To be fair thats a very old frame that looks like its had the shit kicked out of it... any aluminium frame will break eventually, it's just fatigue.
  14. Hmm... http://www.redbull.co.uk/cs/Satellite/en_UK/Event/Red-Bull-Streetlight-Sessions----Bike-Sports-Events----Red-Bull-021243052672397 Thats on the 12th of September, would it make sense to coincide with the above?
  15. "I weigh 15.1kg and my bike is 9.8kg. " Must be hard riding a bike that weighs 2/3rds your weight?
  16. Anything around 9kg or lighter is very light for me.... I dont quite see how a lot of peoples bikes are so light? My Zhi comes in at 9.4kgs, the only places I could save weight would be Ti parts or weaker forks ( trialtechs )
  17. Hi there....been a while since Ive made a video so I thought id get this edited together... nothing big just a really fun ride with some good mates. All comments welcome Alex
  18. Get the brake off the bike, extend the pistons by depressing the lever. Remove pads and spray wd40 onto the now visible pistons; clean with a rag/ kitchen roll, tooth brush etc to remove any gunk. Now release lever and continue to pump the lever. When you've done this a few times, extend the pistons again and put a few drops of 3in1 oil on them. This should sort the problem out.
  19. Personally I'd try and find some Holy rollers.... tried and tested and pretty reasonably priced
  20. Lightest pressure possible, 45* angle with a stone cutting blade
  21. I'm pretty sure you can't heat treat a re-weld....but someone a little more into metallurgy may be able to shed some more light on the matter
  22. If I were you, either make two spacers ( 3mm thick, 10mm internal diameter I think ) which would be easy enough, or simply use your old cams as spacers as you suggested. I think you mean the bottom bracket axle spacers ( two in the picture, one is sitting on your downtube? ) They are needed as they act as a shoulder for the crank arm to butt up against when tightened.
  23. Ive only rode competitions a couple of times but I experienced the same problems you are describing. I guess my advice would be to trackstand / balance for a couple of seconds and take some deep breathes to try and regain your composure for the next move or line
