  1. True... and I think most of the weights posted on forum are a bit optimistic
  2. Riding was great, really liked the edit too!
  3. I'm sure that would just clog and deform under the cutter? Wouldn't it be way too soft? Should be fine fly cutting it though, or if you had a very sharp raked 2 flute cutter.
  4. Literally just going to suggest that! Works really well too.
  5. Heavy doesn't always equal strong.... I think the '11 pure is one of the best alround frames out at the moment personally; the bullet looks like its weighty just because its been cheaply made ( dropouts look quite slablike, as does the BB yoke ) but just my opinion....

    Awesome! Motivation to get filming....
  7. Faversham, but I do have transport this time Wish I could have come to Herne Today...I really fancy riding on thursday/friday maybe if anyones about
  8. As above,. im out in kent and am actually mobile this time! There all this week coming from late PM Monday onwards, if anyone fancies riding please let me know! PM me for my mobile number, or add me to facebook if you will ( Alex Dark, suprisingly! ) Cheers, Alex
  9. May have scared yourself and you cant make yourself commit? Ive been at just under 40" for sidehops for about 18months now i reckon? Cant seem to go any bigger.
  10. Sweeet, good advice everyone! Im thinking something like this: hitachi or Bosch
  11. right well i will be doing a fair bit of other work with it... ive done a lot to my mototrial project with a sanding disc, and a fair amount of cutting recently. I tend to side with you though luke, something like a "cheap" ( low-end ) Bosch seems like the way to go
  12. As above really, my cheapy rolson grinder has just died so looking for a replacement. Needs to be really good quality and ideally variable speed. Any ideas? ( obviously 115-125mm size for grinding rims )
  13. Dont name my bike anything, but Colin the Clio is a firm favourite hah ( as is Margaret the Mini for my mates clubman )
  14. Isopropyl alcohol has saved my front brake at least 3 times now. Ebay it
  15. Looks great... think im going to get one of those when I get some money / when i break the Zhi
  16. Personally Id stay well away from the echo tyres! Stiky lite or eagle claw for me on the back... or if you cant afford it go for creepy crawler. Up front, i reckon the only tyre to go for is the try-all out of my experience
  17. Great, looking forward to seeing you two then
  18. Id drill it... ive modified loads before and its always been fine as long as you dont go mental with it
  19. Actually really looking forward to riding with you again Prawn, I havent been to a big ride since the Pompy one in 09 when i kipped on your floor . Let me know if youre ever down south dude edit: still lots better than me as well I see!
  20. Exactly my thoughts.... best location ever
  21. I dont really understand how a lot of other companies seem to be heading towards the 24/25mm size slave piston sizes...and thus dealing with the heating issues. Im probably wrong, but aren't Formula 24mm? As has been stated a few times, it's always been my understanding that more rotor material in contact with the pad increases hold, and the more cut outs increases bite.
  22. I wouldnt use a wire brush to help remove the paint, fine 0 grade wire wool or similar for that. You can buy a buffing wheel from halfords or similar, layers of cloth that buffs really nicely.
  23. I haven't done a durometer test or anything on them, but in *my opinion* there is a marked difference between the two; as Ali stated this could be to do with any of the variables listed. I haven't personally used TNN LGM's but I've seen two sets that were utter shite....again just what I have seen and not necessarily a proper experience of the pads as a whole, compound or the company.
