  1. Nice...full linux install on an echo dual disk.... i love mu good old zoo pitbull, but i still havent found a stock that rides half as nice as mine
  2. pretty sweet....nust have started when she was about 5 though
  3. uni trials looks intensely hard.... and to the bloke that said:On one trials unicycle, you can do street (ala skate/bmx style... yep GRINDS, crankflip variations, spins, tech), flatland, mountain, freestyle. On a trials bike, you can only really only do trials... ...thats ridiculous...you look at the older trials vidoes of people riding park or street on their trials bike!...i ride my pitbull at skate parks, dj trails and some xc riding..and my old woodstock i took to cwmcarn for a laugh!
  4. you could get something considered a little more oldskool like a giant team trials or a planet-x zebdi...you can pick up a zebdi for around £50 and transplant most of the parts of your giant onto it
  5. exactly....which ever you actually ride you're going to feel more comfortable on.....most stock riders riding mod find them too small and light, and most mod riders riding stock find them big and clumsy..
  6. er....zoo python maybe? depends if you want something shorter / longer than your mission...bb rise?
  7. They seem pretty good...try-all components, decent weight with a koxx heritage...there seem to be no obvious downsides to it...
  8. echo urbans...only seen one pair break so far... i should be getting some soon as well
  9. looks like im going to have to steal ryans forks for that ride then .... eugh have to use maggie with evo mounts oh well....at least ill be able to ride ( if the old wrist is feeling up to it that is )
  10. possibly so.....it will probably work...pretty pointless if it doesnt!
  11. Yep happened to the best of us.... ive been through 3 deore freehubs and one acs claw thats on its way out... Just get a hope pro2 rear hub: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=10058 or A tensile 60 click front freewheel : http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=398 and either get your freehub welded ( temporary solution , i did it ) or get a fixed hub like this: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=666
  12. this is silly...use the search and you'll find all you need to know...otherwise you'll get such intelligent answers as: "COUSTS F.T.W!!!11!!!!1"...which isnt much help to anyone...... I personally lile the heatsink xmas pads, an absolute steal at £6 posted.
  13. Right...use tar sparingly and it works brilliantly ( especially with hard compound koolstop pads ). A grind is better though with proper grind specific pads.....dont bother using some sugar containing liquid...it makes your brakes loud and grabby, but offers hardly any hold..so in essence when you have no tar, a smooth rim and bollox brake..maybe consider coke or other drink..but only as a last resort As to the statement that tar makes your brakes stiock on...only if you're a fool and put far , far too much on...i used tar for around 9 months and it was fine...a bit shoddy in the wet ( no power at all ) but apart from that fine for a beginner.
  14. Hope is a good mountain bike with many trials successes to its name...eg the pro2 hub, xc hub and mono...anyway, back on topic... For very street orientated trials they're not too bad...but the geo is adjusted for a suspension fork, (which are impractical to say the least for trials ). If you want to put a rigid fork on you'll have to put something massively tall on to get back some bb height, but even with massive forks itll only be around 0 bb maximum making the bike clumsy on the back wheel.
  15. if i have some new forks by then, and my wrist has healed ill go.....(my koxxs snapped, and my wrist got buggered on saturday at the skate park )
  16. boil the old pads in a saucepan to get the old material out...then stick the new stuff in with superglue http://www.heatsinkbikes.com/?p=padsguide

    Ashton

    yep...its his old frame
  18. Yep, it should only take around 5mins per wheel I think it looks pretty cool, ill probably do it on the woodstock when i can be bothered
  19. ^^ Whatever dude...i cant make up my mind so im for an opinion.... If you've got nothing to contribute to this thread..why bother posting? I think my thread mirrors to an extent one of yours!: http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....c=48954&hl= ^^ "Its YOUR bike, you have what YOU like" ^^
  20. right .... im not sure....as im putting a front freewheel on it...i cant really try it with green and see what people think as its a bitch to get freewheels off so ive bought some mr. muscle...and i think that'll be my weekend project, as i cant ride for a week or two
  21. what can white fade to?! Looks pretty nice...im thinking green n white in my wheels....will probably look gash...but worth a try
  22. but it would offer less hold.... a dual piston setup is better...end of...at least for hold anyway. the only reason for multi pot disc brakes is to try and decrease the risk of the brakes boiling..something to do with increased surface area.
  23. very nice, didnt realise this echo was yours, tom....looks very nice, tempted to build up my woodstock similar to that
  24. would be pointless...you'd need a far bigger master cylinder...the pistons would never hit at the same time...therefore only being as powerful as the ones that hit the rim first
