just bodge the tpa properly....cut a slit in the head of an allen key bolt, put it in the brass tpa holder thing then put the red cover back on.... and no, doing this wont hurt your maggie in the slightest
  2. just get a new frame...get a t-rex id say as it has fairly similar geo as the diamondback
  3. front and rear 1999 hs33s, light grind, heatsink reds with rb booster on back, smooth rim, koolstops with maggie booster on front
  4. seems very strange, maybe the shape of your rim is at fault, ive never heard of a tyre popping off the rim like that when inflated though...try www.bikeradar.com for more advice..they do more xc and some commuter stuff and should be able to help you out further
  5. while back i saw some footage of chris akrigg riding an onza woodstock...does anybody have it or know where its hosted? Thanks, Alex
  6. i do the same thing....for your pash id buy a fairly cheap 100mm long stem with a bit of rise..then pick up some nice risers like some try-alls
  7. The try-alls are known to explode..that doesnt mean it will though! Tensile are the best budget option, with enos being pretty much the best of the best if you can afford it
  8. get one fo those cheapy chrome shimano ones...my fake hope skewers slip like a b!tch..so much so that if i go to bash ( freewheel) quite hard my rear wheel used to drop out!
  9. echo are probably better than try-all for mod.....but for stock its a different story as there's quite a big weight difference you can lace a 36h hub to a 32 rim..but it isnt worth the hassle, just get a 36h rim
  10. unless you're severly physically retarded...skill is more important, its more like 70% skill, 30% strength
  11. Erm...ive got the same brakes, and i can fix the tpa for you..whereabouts in cornwall do you live, if you come to plymy or close to me ( losty ) ill do it for free
  12. yeh..good beginner bikes but if you've got the money try and pick up something like the one in my sig..04pitbull, £50 posted i bought it for,,and i really like it
  13. waters the best substance to bleed with in my opinion....it offers great response, doesnt have a detrimental effect on brakes, and is easily sourcable when needing to be replaced!
  14. im in the same boat unfortunately ... ive been looking for ages for a freewrae video editor, download.com, tucows, softpedia...and i cant find one that hasnt got some kind of stupid restriction on ...or isnt just plain rubbish!
  15. erm...ive always wnated to ride at my college, but you get booted off straight away
  16. most things will suit for a front hub to be honest, i think pretty much as light as possible really, the planet -x hub ^^ looks pretty good value for the money
  17. if you want a £400 stock, either buy something second hand off here...or look at the new onza range...especially at the coust / rex copy ones
  18. i personally prefer a rear magura....but zermatts disk is awesome, the only real con as i see it is the vulnerability and initial outlay to get a good setup

    Bigman Shed MK2

i wish i had somewhere like that to ride!
  20. onza woodstock? zebdi? pashley? levelboss 1065...theres quite a few
  21. the sd7 levers i think are pretty much the best, i dont think the single digit sl levers are any better performance wise to be honest
  22. clean the rim with white spirit, and sand your pads down a wee bit in case either is/was contaminated
  23. they are very similar to be honest...but id always go for an onza over the shogun ( as falcon cycles hardly have the best reputation )
  24. zoo pads are supposed to work pretty well on a smooth rim...im using koxx browns at the moment as a front brake, as i do stoppies...buts its really personal preference; i think koolstops work the best
  25. its gone: silver, black, white soo....next i think will be real colours, green, blue orange etc...we havent had trials bikes done in "proper" colours for a long while
