  1. id go for either a dmr or a 25seven personally....the 24 slackers are lush toi ride so are well worth considering
  2. thats what i did for ages with my xmas pads until i could be bothered lto buy a grinding disk
  3. looks okay...i used to ride a trek 820 for trials and that was 410mm chainstays and -45 bb drop...was rideable ish for trials...... If you want to ride that...then just ride it, remember ...its not th ebike it s the rider..up to an extent that is...but you have to remember that geo is nothing like a trials bike..and it will be very heavy
  4. looks lush apart from the stem stackers.....nicest czar ive seen so far, good job!
  5. ben...long time no see...you coming plymouth this weekend? Bike looks shweet, even if it is dinky wheels...
  6. er, brake blade, pads, rim tape, bar ends....really dredging the barrel now, i think muels pretty much covered it!
  7. buy a huge artic lorry...build a mahoosive trials section inside, then take it to wherever i want...also, id buy cwmcarn downhill track...and...an adamant a1, and get the whole thing anodised gold..
  8. yeh, then compare it to a normal grind...does it hold better etc
  9. nice video boys...enjoyed it, pengelly's gap from the little post to the wall was shweet.... wheres the big concrete ledges to towards the end?...kinda looks like a seafront to me
  10. im not there today...but theres going to be a big ride on the weekend
  11. just use a tensioner if needed..if the chains slack...it needs tension, if not..leave it
  12. biking related: the hans rey story, manifesto, roam and the collective Non-biking: Transporter 1 and 2 , all the american pies
  13. 1. Trials = low gear, no seats, strong brakes ; bmx = ridiculously high gear, has a seat, pretty poor(or no ) brakes 2. Fairly practical i guess, i ride mine to college most days...mines extremely low geared with virtually no speed, but loads of acceleration, a real hill climbing gear 3. You can pick up a nice specced beginners bike for as little as £250 nowadays....e.g http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=2115 second hand they're even cheaper 4. For a beginner it depends where you've started...if you're small and quite young or rode a bmx ...then mod, if you've ridden a mountain bike, then stock....if you ride street or dirt jump then probably a 24" 5. A lot of the videos you were probably looking at were either oldskool videos, or street trials ( bunny hops, spins kinda stuff ) Modern trials bikes look more like this nowadays:
  14. I'd never use a split-link for trials...i just don't trust them
  15. shame it doesnt have a price for it though... does anyone have apicture of a chris king hub cut away..as i have no idea what one looks like to be honest
  16. er....it kinda is a trialsy move...streety i suppose
  17. there really must have been something wrong to have ditched a big sponsor like koxx though....
  18. i might head on up to bristol soon for a ride...what bike have you got now?
  19. zona's shouldnt need a booster to be honest, my friends one manages fine without...i have to use one on my other three bieks though because of the hugely flexy chainstays ( onza woodstock - onza carbon booster, zoo pitbull - rb booster , trek 820 st - outland booster )
  20. i ride, an 04 zoo pitbull, a trek 820 st dirt jump bike and an onza woodstock for proper streety trials
  21. mate , you're doing well...but remember , when you front wheel hop the power comes from the waist down, not the arms 360 front wheel spin?!...sweet move if you can nail it..most ive done is near to a 270*
  22. i bought my dmr v8s for £5 second hand and they're brilliant...ive dropped one pin so far, but apart from that they've been amazing
  23. supercycles do the kmc kool chains (k710 ) for £6.....i used one for about a year until i got given a k-5c ( bmx freestyle one ) for free
