  1. definitely wouldn't go for the rockhound... the best thing you could go for is either a control or a t-rex...both very strong, dependable frames. And i'd 100% go second hand, i built my bike up from scratch from 2nd hand bits, and it ended up costing me £200...a build that would have set me back around £800 new. So, in conclusion....low to mid bb ( 0-25 ) short (1065-1080) frame with some decent components, pm me for any other advice etc..or just ask on here... best of luck in finding a steed that ticks all these boxes.
  2. different company ..... and in so doing weaken it by ~80%? i think he's best off trying to get a replacement, don't you?

  12. if you hammer it back, the steel wont work harden half as much as aluminium would, so you should be fine on that count.....i think most frames would have dented on that, just depends on tubing thickness used really
  13. haha sounds very silly....oh well, back to the old "where;s your seat" " where's your brakes" ....

  18. go for some urbans or viz/trialtech.... all great forks, similar length just the viz /tt are a bit more pricey, although far stronger
  19. Fine cranks for a beginner, but for £42 i wouldn't even consider them...like has been said; wait till you're validated and get some off here. Should be able to pick up some echo cnc / tensiles for £30-35 or some echo forged for round £20
