    Ko Km1

Would be handy to have a pic. Age? Condition?
  2. Cool, Alex you look alot more confident these days (gap to rail, gap to post etc) and Luke you look alot better on a stock
  3. Take bolt out and hit the inside of the crank outwards using a bit of wood and a hammer. Ride with them for a bit. Head to Halfords.
  4. Have done about 5, a few have been really good and a few have been pretty shit. The pretty shit ones generally were because either i was riding shit, or the sections wern't what I prefer to ride. Most enjoyable was probably the Kortrijk comp in Belgium Kenny Belaey put on, was much more of a UCI style European set up with big rocks and nicer lines rather than shitty muddy wet mossy rocks you have to wheelswap everywhere like you get in some of the regional comp series.
  5. The peeps who started monkey world had a daughter who did the same uni course as me.
  6. True, but then again most people on this forum who are over about 18 would have started on a standard mtb and we're all still here.

    Frozen Brake

Nope, water 'for the win'. I dunno I've never had any problems with water for over 5 years now, brake froze once in Belgium and was fine for a comp after it thawed.
  9. Just about pushing an inch in Exeter, nothing major though.
  10. If its brown, flush it down. If its yellow, let it mellow.
  11. Nothing in Exeter at all.
  12. Your own place was much better I found (as long as you have a good base of friends) as you can keep bikes where you like, don't have bullshit rules/fire drills etc, usually get a much bigger room and a living room for mates to stay round, you can get up to more mischief and you learn how to sort all your bills and all that jazz out. Usually works out cheaper too. Only cons I found were you meet more people in halls (if you know a load of people already what matter him be) and you have to ort out bills etc. But they are pretty minor troubles. The earlier you start looking the better the joint you'll get.
  13. Add a bit more salt and you're halfway to a Chinese delicacy.
  14. Ahh... See in my eyes thats from a bad join rather than the strength of the chain. Easy to do a bad join, just sayiin thats a likely cause
  15. ..Is the weakest chain I've ever used. Are your links snapping in half or splaying apart?

    Frozen Brake

A lot of good info in this thread 1. Brake should be fine - Mines frozen and after it thawed it it was fine. 2. Can bled with water / antifreeze mix. Probably 50:50 ratio, but whatever. Brake will be fine.
  17. Well.. I hope that on the 26" they designed it for a 18:15 ratio not some gay ass 18:16. Secondly the new dropouts dont appear to have the weak points the current dropouts have. A shame they upped the bb rise to 55mm.
  18. Take some weights so you can warm up beforehand, drink 5 - 8 protein shakes on the day, wear a wife beater. Make sure you look as jacked as possible.
  19. Then no, no proper safe method. If the crack is like 1cm then fine, grind he off.
  20. Can guarantee it will make f**k all difference to me, apart from in a good way as I'll probably have it in the back of my head whenever I spend money on bullshit and will probably end up saving.
  21. With hooks, go fast as you can and still be able to pull the front up. Hit it hard and fast. Taps its all about timing and where your body is when you hit the wall. So what I'm trying to say is just practise.
