  1. Get new pads or burn them properly, and clean the rotor with meths.
  2. Will participate if there is a sidehop wall with adequate queuing facilities.
  3. Interesting, some good features. On the site the question is asked about the similarity to the Rockman bar - Adam says they are the same. IS this right? The rockman still has the 3K weave as opposed to this single direction weave, and the weights are different?
  4. Can't they stitch the 2 parts together and chop off the excess to create a more normal looking lobe? Or is that what the plastic surgeon would have done and charged dollar for?
  5. When I used to run Plaz CRMs on a smooth D521 cleaned with muc off back in the day, it was the bitiest thing I've ever used. I'd say least bite comes from a dead grind.
  6. You pimp motherf**ker! Running a half link for that tyre or does she fit?
  7. Er... Its a sport, or a game... The point is that its fun and competitive? Trying to kick a pigs bladder into a net, or ride a bike over some logs is also pointless.
  8. Good to see that rim is still going haha. Looks good, how does it ride?
  9. Trialtechs, or swap to a disk and run Trialtechs. Its the magura making your fork crack around the weld due to the vibration and stress.

The SL/TR freewheels ARE robust in design, its just you twatted yours on a wall hard enough to crack it.

Is it humanly possible to take one of those apart and replace all the pawls without the use of 6 people? They look good to be fair, I'm not a huge fan of Rockman products alot of the time, but the freewheels LOOK promising
  13. Late to this party but holy shit haha
  14. Not sure if a 2 wheeled tensioner will line up with that hub or not? If not, then a 74Kingz style one will work.
  15. I'm no metallurgist but where the hydroforming comes to a point the stresses are gonna be concentrated in that area (as Ali said). With a round tube there are no corners for the stress risers to occur.
  16. Yeah, me....Twice. Ran a Shadow half link in a Z610 and it snapped in 2 weeks (the half link). Then ran a "Try-All" half link which is stronger looking and the same as supplied with these frames in a z610 and it snapped within a month. The half link sheared in half so not from dodgy joining. Agreed, if you change the half link every couple of weeks then you should be ok, but f**k me no way in hell i'd run one again. Its a shame Deng seems to have forgotten how to design chainstay lengths in the last 2 years.
  17. As Matt said, that looks like the compression ring. There should be one that looks the same/similar as the one you took off the forks. The compression ring is what goes at the top usually just under the stem or under a bearing cover. Maybe photograph all the parts you have and we can point you in the right direction?
  18. Uhhh.... You could have the strongest chain in the world with a shitty halflink, you know where its gonna snap? Shitty half link. Chain is only as strong as its weakest link. My experience of halflinks are terrible. I've snapped 2 clean in half, one lasted 2 weeks one lasted a month. Never snapped any KMC Z610s so not as if I ride like a spaz or whatever.
  19. Seem to remember it wasn't a DK, was a cheaper conti tyre.
  20. Yea I'd go DK, will last for a while. They use the same compound, same carcass and pinch resistance is as good as it gets.
  21. Either, doesn't matter honestly. Whichever is cheaper/better value.
  22. Mostly compound I'd say, tread pattern would have something to do with it, carcass thickness, pressure, rider weight, the material you're riding on, rim width/tyre footprint...
