I'm sure the northerners will keep it alive for us all to enjoy.
  2. Oh right, what frame is this?
  3. Well fair enough... Though it was never an isue with mine, as long as the snailcams/tensioning system are adjusted the same, the wheel will be straight and it will work well and not rub.
  4. Is that a problem specific to your frame? Every rear disk mod out there runs horiz drop outs, as well as the likes of the Yaabaa 1499 (had no probs when I ran a Hope), Koxx Red Sky, Hydroxx etc.
  5. Used tin snips for mine. Gave up wth the knife, it was doggy shite.
  6. Its worth it, if you've not been there before you can easily spend a weekend at the bill and a weekend in each of the quarries. We usually take the third exit at the roundabout at the top of the hill (after the lefthand uphill bend) and park in the cricket club car park on that road. Across the road is the quarry we usually ride in.
  7. So am I going to be able to buy a 2.3" tyre with the same sidewalls and compound as the rain king/der kaiser?
  8. Never slipped on me? With a Tartybikes stem. Using a torque wrench to tighten them up? You can probably torque the bolts down more than you think.
  9. Cool cool, wheres that first spot? You need to get a proper vid together brotha!
  10. I'd save it for when shit breaks. Can't see anything I'd upgrade.
  11. To be honest I've found it doesn't matter what you clean your rim with, it'll always be shit. Could you just whack on a fresh grind?
  12. Ads - A 2.3 (true width, not some bullshit made up 2.7 width) DK or RK = the perfect tyre? Wanna get one made for us?
  13. One of the Echo tanks from a while ago. Or an undrilled trialtech.
  14. I try, but get pissed off with the super strict recycling rules mid devon county council put up. They rarely collect mine so these days tend to not both I'm afraid.

The Trialtechs second hand off here (£80) will be better than anything else you can buy.
  16. Do you live at home at the moment? My bills are around £170 a month for water/gas/elec/internet and phone and council tax based on a single person. I live pretty frugally as I'm not at home much. I dont have a tv (license is something to think about). This is in a pretty well insulated and modern 3 bed terraced house. I found theres alot of shit you end up buying that your mum usually gets (air fresheners, clothes horse, tea towels, cleaning bits and pieces, hoover, tin foil etc) that you don't even think about, but someone has to buy. I have only rented uni houses in the past and they're set up slightly differently to 'normal' rentals. My dad owns a few rental houses and if, say, the boiler breaks, he has to sort it out. Its the landlord's responsibility to make sure everything is in order.
  17. Oil would have soaked into the pads so it would be throughout the pad material. This is only good for bedding in new pads or removing a glaze.
  18. He should definately get rid of perfectly good cranks because you don't like them.
