  1. Straight up from the Teflon Don but yeah all day erre day. Rick Ross on this ish.
  2. Nice bike, glad it rides well. I think either bamboo matting or a trellis would improve your garden, at the very least painting the blockwork.
  3. Cool, pivots and stuff it doesn't make any difference really, like Dave said its just you catch your leading pedal on sidehops and once you get to a certain height 'tucking' is a bit odd.
  4. Well sort of.. If you watch any of the top guys (Neil Tunnicliffe excluded) they all go to the rear foot side. Just makes stuff easier, and if you're still learning, now is the time to change it rather than when you have it diallled then find you can only go a certain height. Its best to know how to go both ways, so try the other way and see how it feels.
  5. Yep... If you can learn to sidehop away from your leading foot, it will generally (there are exceptions but generally) be better for the future.
  6. True... I can understand Koxx making the +70 frames, as thats what the pros use for comps obviously. But for every day riding situations a lower bb is (IMO, but my opinion is 100% correct) better. But like you say, then people seem to think if its good for Vincent and Gilles, its good for them.
  7. I do give a shit about performance - How long it will last, picture quality, if the pixels are going to die in a year, biuld quality etc. But like I said, I'll be watching tv on it, not playing games etc which need a high refresh rate. Inbuilt freeview would be great, seems the majority have this these days? Dvd player is a nice bonus but not a neccesity. Thanks Ad, I'll try and find it on iPlayer or something?!
  8. I'm what some people call technologically spasticated. I'm after a TV for my living room, max of about £300 preferably more like £250. I'd guess the size of the room would warrant a 32-40"-ish screen. I DO NOT GIVE A SHIT about HD, refresh rates, megagigawatts or fandangoes. I just want something I can watch some TV and the odd DVD on. I don't want a shitty brand - Sony, LG, Samsung etc are all fine, no Makro specials. Now LCD, plasma, LED... Which would suit my needs best? If someone could give me the pros and cons of each, and any particularly good deals they've seen recently (E-buyer any good?) that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  9. Can't blame the manufacturer for people being morons, but when people realise +35 on a stock is perfect the sun is sure to have his hat on. I guess it'll be a few months before the high bb trend goes out of fashion and we get back to the decent geos.
  10. Some sort of Onza? I'm not up to date with their frames but i'm sure they do a +70 and above cheap mod.

    Obey make some good clothes.
  12. If you like a soft sole the Freerunners have a foam, er, sole under the rubber like Ribos. Bit more compliant than a rubber sole.
  13. Well similar compound, different tread pattern, carcass shape, carcass thickness (I'd say the maxxis offer slightly thicker sidewall compared to the stiky, and certainly the stiky light)and branding obviously. 2.5 minion is a fairly solid choice, I ran one for a while with no problems, then the Contis came out.
  14. Do they exist? Any ideas where they can be aquired? Cheers.
  15. Right, my take on things. Get a Der Kaiser/Rain king if you can afford it. Buy one second hand or something. If you can't, get a 2.35 dual ply maxxis minion super tacky. I'd have one over the Try-all tyres as they use the same durometer compound but the tread pattern is better (Try-alls get less pointy as they wear, highrollers are about the same) and the square profile of the highroller is more stable. Get the 2.35 to add to the stability. But seriously if you can get a DK/RK, get one.
  16. Oh look more hilarious hooking jokes. Asabove, go as fast as you can. lean over the front. Try not to twat your balls on your stem/bars. Prepare to spend ages learning them because hooking vert walls are about the hardest technique there is. If you get stuck, post a vid of attempts and someone will try to advise from there. Good luck!
  17. What? I'm saying surely in your system there will be the guys details? If you're that intent on taking him out for dinner, give him a ring?
  18. Changed washing powder/softener recently? do you use non-bio?
  19. Don't you take their name and phone number when a bike comes in for service?
  20. Get nothing but shit from the horses on dartmoor.
