Shouldn't be a problem, I've ground my rim with the tyre on for the past 6 years and don't think ive ever had punctures from shards. Wouldn't hurt to blow/brush the edge of the rim to remove them though I guess.

Exactly. They also use the Maxxpro compound, so for wet rocks and logs hey arn't very grippy. Good for street, not for natural/TGS.

This is real useful and used alot when you gap to the seat of a bench and 'boon' to the back/top, because theres no room to put a pedal kick in as your wheel is kinda wedged there.

If you need to take your freewheel off to put it on a new crank, yes you will need a freewheel tool. Have a look o n tartys website on how to do it. It can be a pain in the arse.

Hmmm, I've run try-all cranks with the symetrik and an SL for years with no problems. Is it worth putting a pic up? As long as theres no washers/spacers in there and the crank sits nicely in the cut-out I can't see where there would be an issue. If you put the bash on the crank nicely in the cut-out, put the freewheel on and tighten it up by hand so there is nowhere for the bash to move, that should work to stop it jumping out of the cut-out?

What cranks? The symetriks have a cut out for the crank to sit into, is it sitting in the recess?

I have them like that (not as extreme, though) so when you're leant over the front for ups your finger isn't bent back, and for taps and stuff where you're hanging over the back your finger can reach the rear blade. Gilles and co have been doing it for years. However, this matey may just have a loose bolt.

Not sure if they do different compounds in the Kinetics, i believe Kenda's only decent compound is the Stick-E. If its not a Stick-E, then they are likely to be a hard compound and therefore dogshit.

I ran 22:18 for years on stock and found it great, as said above especially if you ride natural alot. If you're more into faster streety stuff a 22:17 may be beter suited, but its fine tuning really. The forks look like the lowers I had on my old Giant Team Trials, but the upper is different.

Look like the fork is a standard ISO mount, so when you buy the 180mm brake it should come with the right size adaptor

Any one know of any decent online ski / snowboard retailers? The CRC of snow? In particular any which sell last years kit for a bit cheaper. Cheers now.
