  1. Sweet I saw those last pics in the garage, was wondering what the specs were?
  2. Ruh roh! Dan did you ever post up any specs / more info on your dad's rally focus? Looked cool.
  3. I liked this, was cool. I think you're nuts for trying that first gap drop to wooden rail without a helmet but there we are.
  4. 100% don't bother. Won't make a smidgen of difference. Apart from possibly snapping and impaling you in the leg leading to a life spent looking for a missus who will love you for who you are (in a wheelchair)
  5. Yo, Anyone got mateys phone number? I might fancy riding there again if summer ever turns up, but you need to let him know in advance right? How much, if anything, does it cost to ride there? Cheers.
  6. I have to say alot of people will probably disagree as the current trend is high BB bikes. Which is fantasic if you want a pogostick, but if you want to ride a mixture of actual trials (walls, logs, rocks, man-made sections etc) a lower BB bike is better. I ride a +35 at the moment which I feel is about right. A +55 is great compromise if you want a bike that is better for sidehops and feels easier on the rear wheel but can still tap (with a bit of technique adjustment).
  7. Yes. In my opinion, anything over +55 and taps, ups to 2 wheels etc (most rolling moves) are compromised. Notice none of the top UCI guys (who are all on around +70mm bbs) really tap anything anymore.
  8. Tesco tubes are pretty cheap. They're not the best quality, but I run the 26" versions and they're fine, all probably come out the same factory anyways. Thats the 'buy lots for cheap' option. Or http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=30312 these Contis are higher quality and £3.99 if you buy lots. I can't find a dh tube for 24 on CRC for some reason.
  9. As a matter of course I cleaned my rotor with meths the other day. Needless to say it didn't work
  10. Looks to me like a pretty good set up. I think you've done a damn good job of making the holes neat and tidy, look like they're drilled in the right sorta places too! Nice spec, with a Der Kaiser on the rear I could definately ride that.
  11. Hmm, not just me then. Might have to spend MORE money on some standard pads so I can ride my bike when its slightly humid.
  12. I have 2 things to add: 1. I use meths for the rotor and put pads in a small 'bath' of meths in the bottom of a cut-up coke can and set alight to it, burns off any oil. 2. Don't use car brake cleaner - it contains oil to stop car disks rusting that is burnt off at the higher temps they get to.
  13. Could be fine, but if that was me... f**k that shit. Change them while you still have teeth, its not worth it. Buy some Trialtechs off here for £20 or something man.
  14. Snap! I had one of those, but bright yellow. Didn't have a sim card so couldn;t transfer numbers when I got my sick ass 3310.
  15. We're all on 200mm standard mono trial rotors
  16. I always liked Toad and wellington rocks in Tunbridge Wells too. This was before Barrow Farm was around though. London is also pretty good in the right spots.
  17. Great to see more fantastic well tested trials parts on the market, good job guys!
  18. Probably my Koxx Purple Sky as its lasted the longest. I liked the geo on my old Echo Control '09 but it cracked after 6 months and the magura mounts were in the wrong place. This Koxx could do with more tyre clearance, and again its cracked although it has done 1.5 years now. Nice weight and colour scheme is badass. Previous frames were pretty good, Echo Hifi was a nice frame but the geo was horrible. Nice CNC parts though. Czar '07 was good geo if a little long but that cracked.
  19. So these new Hope mono trials 'pro' pads offer good performane in the dry. Does anyone elses go to shit in the wet? Any but of moisture makes ours (3 riders all on the same pads) sound super contaminated, loud as hell and not really work. They arn't contaminated with oil and are fine again when they dry out. Any one else?
