  1. Maybe a little more of a wetter mix needed to stop those edges cracking.
  2. I've run Try-All carbons for over 2 years with no assembly compound. They are neither crushed nor have they ever slipped. However, for the sake of a couple of ££ you could put some in if it'd put your mind at ease.
  3. I like a mix of both. Generally I can ride Dartmoor fine on my own, but hate riding in busy places on my own.
  4. On the subject of gearboxes, any one have any experience with mk4 golf SDI gearboxes? Some sort of rivet shears, falls into the box and snaps teeth off the gears apparently. A fix is to drill the rivet out and replace with a steel nut and bolt. Anyone know anything about this? Easy to do? any info really. ta.
  5. The ones i can remember are bashguard.com, tenbytrials, section7, erm....
  6. Get him to ride along something skinny
  7. We usually bring a knife / board / ice to keep them cool and gut them on the beach, less hassle than f**king about doing it at home, wash them in the sea jobs a goodun.
  8. For mackerel, I found little mackerel feathers like: That works well. You have like 5 in a line about 10cm apart, with a small crush on lead weight so you can cast it. High tide is better for mackerel if casting off the shore. A nice calm walm evening will see them come into the shore chasing sprats. Look for where the seagulls are going nuts, thats usually were these little sprats are. You can often see mackerel bubbling / jumping on the surface. You in Plymouth still? Maybe try that wall near the wet wok / fish resturant on the hoe, seems pretty popular with fishermen there. Good luck!
  9. Could you not just run the Rohloff and add a link to the chain?
  10. I always see bros on moto bikes up there, I guess its far away enough for no one to care? Never really see anyone walking or anything up there.
  11. Megamo and Plazmatic tried them if I remember correctly.
  12. Not watched the vid so not sure if he has changed them, but he did wear Terrex Solo's.

    Geo Help

Steeper HA = faster turning, twitchier.
  14. Gotcha... Then how about £5 as a standard? You may even get more revenue because more people will be willing to pay, rather than £10.
  15. I'd probably say its something to do with the 16t front chainring. The more teeth, the more the load is spread around the chain and lessens the stress on each link. Pretty sure loads of people who used to run the super pros snapped tonnes of chains. Seems like upping it to 18t makes alot of difference.
  16. Probably too busy 'fiddling'
  17. Just go shopping / to the beach / whatever else normal people for 3 days man, jeez.
  18. This thread is confusing as f**k! Theres 2 discussions going on: A 'static hook' as shown in the vid on the first post or a pigeon / wheelswap shown in the vid within the post a few down. Static hook: Front brake on, rear brake sometimes on, sometimes off (depends on a few things). Keep front brake locked at all times, even after you've sprung up to rear (as Adam was saying) Wheelswap / pigeon: Front brake only, you can release the brake just as you go to spring up (as omgnoseat mentioned).
  19. Ugh, f**k that. Um, regarding the sticker idea... are you hoping to keep the sticker on at all times or just when maintaining the bike? If its on there all the time, I wouldn't want it coming unstuck (branch / rock / water) then jamming its self into the caliper. It'd probably just pull through / tear, but the potential is there for a 'stick in the spokes' moment.
