Yeh my Hope XC on D521 with DT DB spokes has never been tweaked, that was run on the trials bike for about a year, and it's not on the DH bike. All good stuff :( My mate had a wheel built by them ages ago, and was buckled out of the box >_<

Underneath a bridge on the back way to the Tate, it has 'Bankside' written in large letters, he came and made the i into a y, making 'Banksy'. The council have repainted it, but you can still see the remnants of the y >_< Jake did a project on his work i believe, i'll try and get him to take a look at this... Might rekindle the old trials flames :(

Out of interest, was this a problem with the brake its self or with compatability issues?

My mate uses one on the front, seems great (Y) Used to be run on the back, but dented like f**k, so built it as a front rim.

Right, measured it today, To both wheels i can do 40", thats to a shady wall with a 1' strip to land on. Tried 42", failed miserably every time. I need practise...

f**king hell (Y) Stephen and Matt own your arses. I should be there on Sunday. Saturday is too busy with normal people to do any riding. Matt is 100% correct, big rides SUCK. Theres only so many people that can fit on one wall. Ride when you want, Stephen's right though... Hope you have a good ride, whenever the f**k it is. I suck at trialsinging.

Along with trackstands, I found wedges help: Riding to a wall (over 6 foot high kinda wall, nothing low) then placing your front wheel onto the wall's face. With both brakes on, learn to balance with your front wheel on the wall. It really tests your side to side balance. And again, you can practise against the wall of your house/shed/whatever, out of sight of the public :( Good luck!

On a random note, wtf is a 'water based hockey pitch'? I can get the hockey bit...but water based?

I wouldn't have said there are as many 'bummers' down south, but then i'm biased and there's no way of measuring it... And agreed, 'northerners' is a very boad term, and as i'm about as southern as it gets, there are ALOT of people that are northerners compared to me. This whole thread is about putting people into catagories though?

I definatly think there is... But i'm biased and think the southerners are more friendly (on the whole anyways) and the northerners are alot better at natural. I also dislike the amount of bumming Neil T and CLS get from the northerners. There are alot more riders up North. Southerners are better at UCI style street. But it's all perspective i guess?

T'was a good vid, though at some points i couldn't tell if it was my computer jumping or the editing! Some nice gap drops and streety type things. Based on the Bikeshow, i was pretty impressed with your riding, but this vid made you seem 48494095 times better. Good job.

I havn't had any major injuries from riding trials, all of mine have been from DH'ing. I'm pretty sure my knees are getting bad, i ran up the stairs yesterday and fell over in pain haha! The usual pedal/shin interface, as well as knee/stem etc. I had the uncut seat tube on my Giant go up my, er, gooch area about a year ago... That'll learn me to keep a mini seat on there ^_^ I think thats it.
