    Wide Rim

Details are pretty sketchy, they are available in the USA apparently... Basically the same as a normal Koxx rim, but 42mm wide  Check Faction bike for any details they might have...
  2." Yeh get that vid, it has a couple of hooks on walls, and numerous on natural 'walls'. And you should have that vid in your collection anyways, as it owns

    Wide Rim

Have you actually read the thread? He wants the options of a decent rim where grinds last a while and don't dent as easily.
  4. Studymedia is my teacher's website, has some audience theories and stuff like that one it, may be of some use (Y)
  5. I'd say Plazmatic CRM's too... Tarty pads arn't available, Rim Jam greens work well but wear out on a harsh grind too quick for my liking. Koxx Bloxx...Work ok, last well but wear out grinds. Go Plaz (Y)
  6. I'm not really sure of the bit you put before the bold type... But yes, hooking is *in my mind* the hardest technique to get down. With the possible exception of brakeless wedges, but thats a whole different story. So yeh, it is hard. Bunny hopping into it is relitively easy actually, as you don't have to do that much hopping, you just need to hop enough to get your front wheel over the top (Y)
  7. Strongbow or local cider if i'm in Devon for a pint, girlie drinks if it's not cider :P Don't exactly drink loads though

    Wide Rim

Basically you've either gotta: 1. Use larger brake blocks or do a pad bodge and keep a decent rim or... 2. Put up with a denting rim and your brake not working that great. The only rims available really are 38mm wide or 47mm wide (apart from the Koxx XL but i don't think that's out yet :P ) Obviously the 47mm wide rims are the Koxx type rims that dent. So yeh...
  9. Andrew Tonkery: AndrewT on here, AndyT on OTN (N) The vid is Koxx Days THE ONE. I think there was a post in NMC with a pictorial guide of how to do it, try a search for that? Seemed like it'd be pretty helpful :P
  10. I could do, i choose not to :P
  11. I can do 7' (flat to flat, railway sleeper to railway sleeper) pretty much every time. I can do 7.5' in the same conditions a small amount of the time. Keep up the good work, you'll progress and get bigger and bigger :P BTW, how would that gap up there by the ZOO! rider compare to the likes of Hermance/Ros/Belaey etc.?
  12. Nice find Timber... Soles = 661's? They look like 'special' shoes 'special' people wear :-
  13. I think the Koxx is a rebranded £5 headset made in Taiwan jobbie. The FSA range is good too :-
  14. The rotors look loverly... A fair few DH'ers are using these now :-
  15. Afternoon all... From what i can tell, i believe it has been either the forks and/or the star nut causing the problem. I recently bought a disk and had to swap over to some old forks with a disk mount. These forks didn't have a star nut so i used my old Hed Doctor...And the problem seems to have gone (Y) I tightened it all up, went to my favorite tapping wall, did a few taps (and a few f**king super harsh taps :) ) and a couple of hooks, and as far as i can tell all is still tight and good :- Cheers for your help boys and girls ;) Nick.
  16. It's definatly possible i have an ovalised headtube unfortunately, but i'm trying to find other options before i go buying a new frame :( I'll check the star nut :o Checked the bearings, they're all correctly fitted and greased. Cheers for your suggestions :o
  17. Sorry for the off topic post, but 'Konig'?! Wtf does that mean? Slightly more random than 'Batch B's' etc.! :o
  18. Yeh i would have thought a shearing force would have to be applied to do that sorta damage :o And as it is supported by the axle (like Mark says), there would be no shearing force at all. Only up and down pressure i would have guessed? Random... Faulty batch?
  19. I go in there pretty often actually, to help out the newbies 'cos i'm such a nice charactar... Oh, and to tell the retards that they are actually retards.
