On a flat floor, i can 180 gap further than i can forward hop gap. But it's dodge-eeeeeeyyy doing it over a 'real' gap. I dunno,. it's really hard to put avarages on things. If you said like after 2 years riding or whatever, then it'd be a bit more accurate.

I heard it eats pads way to quickly, and is expensive. Didn't Bennifer have it done? Someone did...hmm.
-
I doubt it, even if they did it would cost too much monies to make it worthwhile. As i said before (actually it wasn't in this thread), it's really, really hard to hit a rear rotor. So i don't think making it a 145mm rotor would have much benefit, as theres a very small chance of hitting it anyway. I still think Avid BB7 185mm/205mm if you can get away with it. 185mm should be plenty powerful on a mod though. Get a decent cable and lever, and away you go.

Are you running single speed? If not, try another gear and see if it still does it. If you are, try another cog on there, doesn't matter what size, just ride it and see if it skips. How is the chainring looking?

Nope, i fully agree... Think of all the newbies (and not-so-newbies for that matter) that own a T-Pro. Then all the people who own a T-Rex, or a T-Raptor. Without Onza, all those people would have to buy different bikes/frames, and i don't know of another company that offers high quality goods at such low prices.

Just turn up, go to the lil' 'Cafe' area, say 'hello young sir, i would like to pay for a days riding please', hand over the....1 or 2 squid they ask for, get your hand stamped, and you're free to enjoy the rocks and stuff. Theres usually not many trialsters there, more of a 4X/DH/Jump kinda thing, but that means you'll have the rocks etc. pretty much to yourself :)

Not everyone on this forum is a retarded faggot.

I spose, but then: 1. Certain brake blocks are specifically designed to be used with a grind, i don't see a 'tar specific' pad out :) 2. Shit blocks on a grind will still be shit. Shit blocks with tar will work the same as 'mega' blocks, as 'you could use a chipolata with tar and it would work' 'cos of the way it's the tar doing the sticking, not the pad. Anyways: My idea of a working set up would be one that didn't slip, whatever conditions it was faced with :(

For stock (dunno/couldn't care less about mod :) ) i recon: Static, flat to flat gap: 5.5' Sidehop: 30" Taps: 40" They're my rough guesses anyway. Hard to tell, 'cos for example the gap one, some people can get around the 9' mark, but most are getting just over 6. But begginers are barely getting a foot. So avaraging it out gives a bit of an odd result.

Another vote for Battersea Park from over here, loads of stuff to do with differing levels of ability. PORC is pretty good if you go on a dry-ish day, other wise it can get a bit depressing. Worthing?

If it's about a degree above freezing, then i like it. If not, i really don't. I havn't had a glass of water from the tap for years :( I always have squash or juice if i'm around the house.

Hmm... That's true in a way, but at the end of the day i still deleted it after one watch, because i found it stupidly boring. I just don't like that style of riding. I have watched AndyT's Koxx Days vids over and over, because i prefere that compy style, it doesn't have possibly the worst music ever (in my opinion) and the editing and filming is excellent. It's not just this video, i deleted TRA's vids, and Neil Tunnicliffe's, simply because i don't like that style of riding. Clearly it's impressive, but i prefere to watch people get through a section rather than drop off something. I'm not having a go at people who like it, i'm just stating my opinion, for which i'm being flamed by people that bum him. Everyone has their own opinions, i accept other people's opinions, they don't accept mine because it's diffrent to theirs. But that's the way it is... Anyways, i've just re-explained myself for about the 6th time, which is what i didn't want to do. But all i'm saying is: You have your opinions, i have mine, it doesn't matter, it's a VIDEO for Gods sake... That wasn't aimed at you Jonny, just...you know :(

Could you use an Avid BB7 185mm? Well, you could, but would that be a better solution? Or would that be too heavy or something :(
-
Erm... I think that plan is very flawed. Anyways, looks really good, i don't know much about mods, other than it looks similar to that wonderfully wonderfull ZOO! that the equally wonderfully wonderful CLS rides. I think it's awesome they can put out a frame that's similar, is not ridden by CLS, and is much cheaper than the ZOO!. Out of interest, what are the differences between the ZOO! and this? Onza = the w!n (or something)

I think he was referring to your general attitude.
-
I see your point JIX... Though one way of explaining it, is if you get a grinder, a bit of Playdough (Playdoh?)...Blutack, and some metal. Grind the metal, and grind the Blutack. They will have different patterns on them, because of the hardness. That's a bit of a shit way of explaining it, and there are other things involved like elasticity etc. but thats the general idea (N)

Sarcasmzz? I really don't like that shade of pink.
-
Nitromorse it and see what it turns out like? Then you can go about seeing if you want it ball burnished, polished or whatever. To get a Coustellier-style polish goin' on, get some Brasso/Autosol and polish it up after you've Nitromorse'd it.

Cheers matey, glad i could be of some help! Hope your back gets better soon, you seemed to land on it pretty hard  Thanks again, Woody :-

I recon today's London ride was pretty fecking good size wise. Everyone knew everyone, a good mix of riders, from Staples right down to begginers, right down to me. Smaller rides are better for riding obviously, whats good is everyone meeting up, socialising for a bit, then splitting into lil groups. So around 20
-
Haha, me too! Yeh, i find metal grinding gives a light grind that isn't very sharp.
-
